Benalmadena hosts two main markets per week. One occurs on a Wednesday in the car park in Arroyo de la Miel which is located next to Paloma Park and Selwo Marina. The other happens on a Friday in the large car park located next to Tivoli world and near the main Benalmadena Train Station.
Street markets in Spain flourished in the early part of the 20th century and are now an integral part of Spanish life and culture. They represent a true melting pot of locals and visitors. Each one provides something different and unique to the local town and its people.
This market is the weekly Benalmadena traditional market that occurs on a Friday and sells all manner of items and products from fruit and veg to jewellery, clothes to flowers and everything in between. People from Benalmadena, and other areas on the Costa del Sol, attend to see what bargains they can find.
