Same. Last time I tested (cant get it to work on my Charge 5 now FSR) it seemes like it simply bypasses the eq and limiter used to optimize the sound for the drivers, so it sounds like trash and makes it easy to blow out the drivers. I got 2 of these about 9 months ago, lfm was already on as i just found out. Without it, they just sound dry and cheap. I don't usually go louder than about 50% maybe 75% for some songs... it's not going to hurt the speaker as long as you don't push it to distortion. With lfm disabled, I tried full volume, it was horrible and distorted, go figure. If you're using them where you need to keep the bass down, disable lfm.

Wow, that is a really interesting question. I don't know how to measure the wats of the JBL FLIP 5 speaker when it's on low mode frequency, but I definitely can tell that when you activate the low-frequency mode, that makes the speaker louder. For this reason, we need to be cautious not to maximize volume since it can damage the speaker. But if you use the speaker mindfully, you can enjoy a better sound and keep the speaker safe. Hey! Are there any other speakers that can do this? (I run a speaker for background music all day and am looking for small portable options with a 3.5mm or USBC streaming). Marshall, Klipsche and Sony portable options would be great.
To exit the service mode, you need to plug the speaker into a power source, and press the Bluetooth and Play buttons at the same time. Hold the buttons until the speaker automatically turns off. Once the speaker turns off, you have exited the service mode. You can now turn the speaker on, and it will work normally. Let me know how it goes. Had the same question. They suck for not putting a simple command as to play previous track. I came into this video hoping someone had the "secret" answer. Ughh. But I learned something new at least.
Thank you for the great question. At normal mode, JBL FLIP has bass, but it's very vague. Which is very wired because the satisfying bass is supposed to be the highlight of this speaker. When the low-frequency mode is turned on, you actually can hear the big difference. to understand, i recommend you watch the comparison between the normal mode and the bass mode 1:17 let me know if you have more questions. @@LevinsReview Do not increase the volume? But how to understand it? How loud can I listen to the speaker in lfm mode so that it doesn't damage the speaker. 50% Vol or less?
When the speaker work very hard you will become jarring. So I recommend to play soundtrack or song that you know very well , then decrease the speaker to the lowest volume. And gradually increase it. when the volume feels right then test if through the the loudest picks of the song / soundtrack. If the sound the is clean and if feels right keep it. But if you are too worried about it, then don't use the LFM mode.
Thank you for the question 😃 This video is based on jbl flip 5 so I don't know if it will work with other models the same way. Wish you the best of all 🌟
what if the speaker only play with a cord in it? i know know what i did but when i plug it into my game console it’ll only turn on and play for that but it won’t turn on or play when nothings plugged in even when it says the battery’s full
Thank so much for sharing with us your issue. What the model of JBL you are using ? I'm asking this question because the USB-C port of JBL Flip 5 only serves as a power outlet for the speaker, and it can't be used for connecting devices to play sound. So I wondering how to you can plug it to your console and make it play.
@Michael Deng thank you for sharing this issue. I know that when the party boost is activated, it locks Bluetooth connectivity, so make sure the party boost is turned off. And if you never turned on the party boost, did you try resetting your speaker? Other than the Bluetooth, does your speaker works well?
@Noor Pannu No, because this is a mode that disables DSP, which unlimits the speaker. People have used this dsp off to completely kill their speakers for abusing the battery, the amp and the driver(s)
@Kevin Miller It sounds like you are having some issues with your Flip 5 speaker. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue: Make sure the speaker is fully charged. If the battery is low, the speaker may not turn on or reset properly. Try resetting the speaker by pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds. This should reset the speaker and allow it to turn on. If the speaker still will not turn on or reset, you may want to try connecting it to a power source using a different cable. This could help to determine if the issue is with the cable or the speaker itself. If none of these steps help, you may want to try contacting JBL support for further assistance. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or repair options. I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions or need further assistance.
low frequency mod is not safe as it disables all safety precautions such as the bass the speakers have a limit untill the bass radiator go boom or get really damaged

Lfm is a mode made to see if there is any problems in the system. If you use it alot it will tear ur passive radiators up and rip them trust me ive lost a nice speaker due to lfm. Hope you dont make the same mistake as me.
@@dlowelmao2062 I figured it out. So what's your advice for using low frequency mode? Think ill be okay if I only use it on 50 percent volume and less?
Its should be oprittty much the same Press on the Bluetooth and the play/pause buttons. The speaker will enter to the service mode. And from there continue with the steps as i show in the video.
@George Likimani Thank you so much for the great question. Low-frequency mode makes the passive bass radiators move a lot more. For whatever reason, none of those button combinations did what your speaker did in the video. The only lights that would blink were the charger, and only change is now I don't have max volume feedback sound.
I have a huge problem with my JBL Flip 5, it automatically turns on indefinitely, the only way to turn it off is to hold the on/off button but to turn it back on you have to plug it in (I factory reset it but that doesn't change the problem)
Please help me :(

Hey! Are there any other speakers that can do this? (I run a speaker for background music all day and am looking for small portable options with a 3.5mm or USBC streaming).
Marshall, Klipsche and Sony portable options would be great.
How do you unbrick from service Mode a jbl charge 4? Blinking light when charging but when turn on, only sound of Power Up and then Power Off.

In Normal mode with bass boosted song can bring sound like low frequency mode??
Thank you for the great question. At normal mode, JBL FLIP has bass, but it's very vague. Which is very wired because the satisfying bass is supposed to be the highlight of this speaker.

What the model of JBL you are using ?
I'm asking this question because the USB-C port of JBL Flip 5 only serves as a power outlet for the speaker, and it can't be used for connecting devices to play sound. So I wondering how to you can plug it to your console and make it play.
Bro, the usb type C port is just for charging, who even uses aux in 2022, there are now much better options, bluetooth, which is wireless.

Thank you for the question.

@Noor Pannu No, because this is a mode that disables DSP, which unlimits the speaker. People have used this dsp off to completely kill their speakers for abusing the battery, the amp and the driver(s)

Thank you so much!
My flip5 is not resetting, the only thing working is the on/off button. Also it is not lighting up around power/bluetooth. HELP ME PLEASE.
@Kevin Miller It sounds like you are having some issues with your Flip 5 speaker. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
Make sure the speaker is fully charged.

@George Likimani Thank you so much for the great question.
Low-frequency mode makes the passive bass radiators move a lot more. Which emphasizes the bass, and deep bass makes the music so much better. You can see the difference I demonstrate
1:16 JBL Flip 5 TEST Low-Frequency Mode vs. Normal
Moreover, when you activate the low-frequency mode, that makes the speaker louder. For this reason, we need to be cautious not to maximize volume since it can damage the speaker. But if you use the speaker mindfully, you can enjoy a better sound and keep the speaker safe.
