Elden Ring - The Unadorned

- A maimed assassin finds restitution in a mysterious cathedral. How far will she go to be whole again? Assorted early-to-endgame Dex and Faith invasions, ranging from base level to 200+. Opening sequence animated in Blender... haphazardly.
Songs:
Power Glove - Crypt
Carpenter Brut - Run, Sally, Run!
Disasterpiece - Jay (It Follows OST)
Hi everyone! To be candid, there's a great deal about this video that that didn't live up to my hopes or expectations, so I apologize if it feels janky, or just a bit bare and directionless after such a long absence. The video's creation was marred by a seemingly endless series of technical difficulties, and the project was overly ambitious for a Blender beginner who's never storyboarded or animated anything in the past. I had a great deal of animation ideas that I ultimately did not have the skill or time to bring to life, as well as lots of editing bells and whistles; custom UI elements, flashier editing, and a vague visual story as in some of my previous videos. None of that made it into the final upload, and a whole third of the footage and edits were cut in the end.
I decided the DLC launch would be my deadline and I'd publish whatever I could hold together by that point, so I can start taking animation lessons, switch to a new editor, and plan some fresh and in-scope projects. It may not be reflected in the quality of the video, but I learned tons of stuff while making it. I hope you guys still find it interesting, even if it doesn't set the world on fire. I plan on improving a lot and making lots of fun and hopefully unique invasion videos in the near future, after enjoying a break and playing the DLC :)
Its still phenomenally well done; it's very reminiscent of Yung Maestro's Dark Souls 3 days, which is a healthy hit of nostalgia when every Elden Ring video seems to be trolling or low-effort PVP montages. My only critique is that I wish it were "more memey", which is odd to say after 4 years of fighterPL
@@L0rdLexan01 Hey, thank you! Yung Maestro is one of my favorite DS3 creators. And I agree, it could definitely use a few more memes here and there. Goals for the next project.
You put a lot of effort into this and it shows! Awesome work! The rope bomb +bloodtax clip @5:05 🥶🥶🥶
Your videos are the peak all other montage makers in the Souls/ER community climb for. Please continue to bring your impeccable style and ambitious animation work to greater and greater heights. I’m in awe of it.
That is incredibly encouraging to hear, thank you! There's a lot I'm unhappy about with this video but I'm very excited to continue learning and trying new things.
I'll have you know that I was literally about to boot up shadow of the erdtree for the first time, saw that you had just uploaded this, and then literally closed the game launcher so that I could watch this first.
I was hoping to catch a few of you in time! Thank you for the kind words. I hope the next video will be much better and less troubled :)
@@BadRedMan Immediate appointment viewing!! 3:16 had me going absolutely nuts
11 minutes just flew by like a second. Glad to see you back, man! S-tier Quality on each every video!
Welcome back!
Thank you! Good to be back!
Top-notch. You should be proud of this creation.
Cool animation man, very quality work
Welcome back and congrats on such a beautiful intro! 🥂
Thanks so much man!
Nice to see
nifty
DAMN dude that intro was beautiful
Thanks man! I honestly spent an embarrassing amount of time scrapping and revising work for it
@@BadRedMan It shows! The final result was worth it :)
Gravity kills always so satisfying
return of the king
Wow i loved the opening sequence.
I kinda want to get into blender but its seems quite difficult looking for beginners. Do you make your own character or is there some way to import your ER character into blender?
Again great video i look forward to more videos :^)
Thank you! There's a few different ways to rip and import Elden Ring assets into Blender, but it's a pretty convoluted and unintuitive process. I recommend starting with Scrub Milk's excellent Elden Ring modding tutorials to familiarize yourself with the tools and workflow that I used, if you want to delve into it. I recently learned there's more sophisticated tools for it, but I haven't tried them yet. I've also heard great things about Grant Abbitt's tutorials, for getting accustomed with Blender itself.
yessss this is so good!!!!!!!!!
The King is back! And with a great video to boot.
This was great honestly, i am curious to see how the dlc inspires you
those blender animations are so neat what an awesome video 🫶

Simply AMAZING!
