I just watched it , first show , i dont even have words , just mind blown and happy that i didnt let this masterpiece pass by without watching it in theatres. The Acting ,the direction, the sound design, the production ,the editing and THE IMPACT.... Could keep watching it over and over again if i could .Cant praise it enough ,it was just that good. The brand name of Christopher Nolan, Cillian Murphy, RDJ ,Emily Blunt, they all have proved their mettle and lived upto their reputation❤
The way Jaby describes the comparison between 35mm, 70mm, Imax and the difference it can bring is the reason why he has 2Mn+ subscribers. Atleast in India we don't have such reviewers
The thing Jaby mentioned about aspect ratio also happened during Dunkirk, but it was an IMAX digital screening. Never understood why that happened.. now I do.

Half the people have no idea who Oppenheimer was. You can be rest assured, Times of India will splash pics of Hrithik Roshan, Ajay Devgn, Vivek Oberoi, Urfi Jaaved etc in designer clothes going to watch this movie and not understanding anything 😂

Just came out watching Interstellar in a theatre. I didn't watch the movie when originally it came out in 2014. i always regretted. Finally watched it and the theatre was housefull. For me Interstellar is nolan's best film. Currently going home and watching this review..I paused this video went straight to Bookmyshow, booked Ticket for Oppenheimer first day first show and came back to watch the remaining video. Jaby is more like a Interstellar, inception, Dark knight type of movie guy, he is not a schindler's list, The Imitation Game, Oppenheimer movie guy.
I watched it in IMAX as well, didn't know that it was suggested that way. So I felt it more.
I didn't feel like one can categorize this movie as good and bad, it superceded that. U feel something for this person, this movie, and the semi sections within the movie and then u decide with the facts that we know of history. And if that is what Nolan wanted to tell through his storytelling, he succeeded.
Oh yeas...I felt that. It was levelled, even in IMAX
The one thing I felt the most about how this movie is made was, I was wondering how so much varied content was put together in such a limited time..then I realised it was a little lengthy. Even then, the editing is smart. That's a lot of content put together in one piece in a particular timespan.
So I was in the middle of both of ur feelings..like it was a mix. I felt him, I felt his mind, and then I looked at his choices, and I hated him. I wished I wouldn't..but then I wished he chose different. So the actor was so good, you'd hate him. I cannot feel sympathy for a person like that. Ever. It was a strong movie which makes u feel strongly either for or against.

Sorry, a bit of a side track about the recent Hollywood strike. I had an experience with Motion Capture and voice acting and have to say even though gaming industry is a colossus these days, voice over actors and mo cap performers are not fully considered 'equal' talent as traditional actors. What's really interesting right now is that the mainstream, 'regular' actors demand royalties for their digital likeness when it's used on new projects they are not technically involved with. Something MoCap actors could relate to...I guess the movie studios figured that their 'creative accounting' and sometimes cruel contracts/ NDA's would go unnoticed into this new era of streaming. They were wrong, preparation is everything and they were completely ill prepared for this new platform of entertainment.
PS. You almost saw me as Leon in the new Resident Evil games :)

@@thefonz8373 That is a very good point. Thank you for this feedback. A motion capture session these days is very demanding. I could compare it to a traditional theater; a performer has to create most of the surroundings in mind as well as react in real time to the plot and exposition.

Watched it in 70mm and personally I didn't feel the runtime AT ALL! A very fascinating way of storytelling.
Here in Canada ,we are not getting tickets for the IMAX 70 mm version till next week.price is 24 $

@@anupam8906In south India, we have IMAX in Chennai (2 screens Luxe and Palazzo), Coimbatore (1 Broadway) , Hyderabad (2 and I think 1 IMAX was closed because of some issue) and I guess 2 more IMAX screens in Bangalore. BTW I apologize if I have misread the comment because I do not know Hindi. I assume there are more IMAX screens in the northern part of India as well. Anyway enjoy Oppenheimer the way it is intended.
This movie might be hard if you are not familiar with all the experimental physicists of the first 1/3rd of the 20th century. if you know the people, this movie becomes even more mind blowing. i just wish that feynman would have featured a bit more than just playing the bongos a few times and sitting behind the windscreen of a jeep and saying that he would be fine :D

if anyone complains about the length they aren't movie buffs and are their for entertainment which isnt wrong. But people who love watching movies and for the art of it wont have any problem with the length, just as they didnt have it with The Godfather, LOTR, Green Mile to name a few.

If you have ever been to that Imax theatre and if u think of the theatre is good then don't loose the chance of watching it in Imax but if u think that the theatre is not of good quality then it's better to watch in normal they are rather than to watch in old one
@@shaurya2135actually there are 3 Inox in the city I'm currently living at. But I've never been to any one of them and reviews say that their sound system is not good etc.. thts why I'm scared. Or I'll watch it later in August in a PVR, where I've been before and I know those PVR are great

I watched it yesterday in cinema (not in IMAX cause the ticket was expensive) and overall, I liked it and yes, it's true that it's not for everybody. The movie is interesting but not really entertaining. I wished they had delved more on Project Manhattan and how the bomb was made instead so much on politics and moral dilema.
