Great message. However, we all need to get over Easter. It's a pagan holiday. Explore the Passover which will help you understand the details and deep meaning of the resurrection.
@@kickpublishing first off I hope you understood my reply regarding Easter/Ishtar which is pagan in origin and offers a way to deflect and distract from Jesus and the resurrection. That is the important point. The Passover has been overlooked but it offers a great reflection of past and future. Jesus has not returned yet, and is still the coming Messiah for those in waiting. Celebrating, learning and participating in God's feast days is not mandated. However, you can grow in your relationship with God by making the connections. Also, you should study engagement versus marriage as it relates to Jesus, the new covenant, and his return. Remember he said in Matthew 26:29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom......learning about the culture and customs will explain why he's waiting.
Interesting. Wasn't aware that one celebrating the resurrection of Jesus was a "pagan" practice. Umm...Yer kidding, right? Here: Soup-On-A-Stick? (That doesn't make any sense either.) It's sad how many twist Scripture to say that certain celebratory days have "pagan roots". Here's a hippocrite for ya: They'll say stuff like that yet it's pretty much a no-brainer that same person goes throughout a given year HUNDREDS of times referencing calendars and/or wondering about anything past the earth's atmpsohere. The reality is all months except two and all days of the week and quite a few celestial bodies are all named after mythological characters. Mythology is pagan. Meanwhile, however...Forever's a long time. Ready? Hope so! That 1-on-1 with God the Father happens with 100% of everyone whether it's "believed that way or not". This is the A.D. Era now. The bottom line lies the hope people ABSOLUTELY DO NOT "get over Easter". No way.
@@symunut9316The biblical teaching of celebrations and traditions is that whether you do or don't celebrate, you are no better or no worse. The biblical teaching is that it is wrong to demand these days be celebrated, and it is wrong to prohibit them. Everyone is free to practice or participate in traditions. It is making it spiritual or unspiritual that is wrong because it doesn't make you one or the other.
LOL! That's fancy talk for "legalism". Emphatic "NO THANK YOU". Will CHEERFULLY stick with the instruction in Scripture instead. In this particular instance, the encouragement would be to study passages such as John 5:24, Ephesians 4:32, Hebrews 10:14, 1 John 1 8-10, etc., etc. There are no contradictions in Scripture...EVER. Forever's a long time. Hope everyone's ready!
@@stevencook4002 That's simply because the Scripture passages weren't properly researched. Everything needs to remain in Biblical context. Meanwhile, however, ready? For anyone, praying this all helps. If there’s any “ammo” here that’s either wanted or needed, go for it. As Scripture implies, “Freely you have received, freely give”: “I’m glad I listened,” before it’s too late always sounds much better than, “I wish I’d listened,” when it is...Worth considering. There’s only one way to be saved, period (Mark 1:15, John 3:3-6). (SIDE NOTE - 100% of everyone’s born of water. Just think of every mom - Odds are that it got expressed at one time or another - “We need to get to the hospital. My water just broke.”) Jesus at Calvary is the only way anyone is ever forgiven, again, period (John 14:6, John 19:30, Galatians 2:19-21). Because of Jesus and His substitute sacrifice at Calvary (Matthew 20:28, Mark 10:45), your forgiveness is justified and the wrath of God the Father is turned away from you. Logically, it’s followed by His resurrection which means you live because He lives (Matthew 28:6, John 14:19b, Hebrews 7:24-25). (Lest anyone forget that we are FORGIVEN through Calvary (John 19:30) but it’s His life which saves (Romans 5:10).) (If desired, also see Acts 4:12, Galatians 3:28-29, 1 John 3:23-24 and 1 John 5:6-12 for more information.) Forgiveness is once for all (Hebrews 10:14), and it means it’s past, present and future (John 5:24, John 10:28, 2 Corinthians 5:19, Ephesians 4:32, Colossians 2:13-15, 1 John 2:12, 2 Peter 1:5-9, Jude 1:24-25, etc. Only one is needed since there are no contradictions in Scripture...EVER.). There’s no need to “keep a tally” or “visit some confession booth”. That’s all above and beyond of how loved and accepted you really are and why you are told to love and forgive others in return (Romans 5:8). People come to Jesus to be forgiven and have resurrection life, not in order to have a fat wallet, great health, cool car, nice job, big house, etc. Over the years, there has been quite a lot taught about both PERTAINING TO LIVING WITHIN THE CONFINES OF (as well as ABOUT) Christianity in the proverbial “Bible Belt”. The problem is, many of those things simply are Biblically incorrect. Makes one wonder at times - Human opinion versus God the Father’s opinion...Wonder who would win? Additionally, Mosaic Law and/or other types of Legalism - Sad, huh? One thing to also remember is that there are dozens of each, cults and false religions. Many of them have done a SPECTACULAR job of messing up the gospel message with either bogus teachings, fake literature based on fake Bibles and so on. “The main thing is to make sure the main thing remains the main thing because without that main thing, you’ve got no thing.” Forever’s a long time. Naturally, that “main thing” is the finished work of Jesus.
(ANOTHER SIDE NOTE: The term “Christ” is a title, not a name. It means either “Anointed One” or “Messiah”. “Jesus” means “The Lord is salvation”. 100% of EVERYONE has fallen short (Romans 3:10-12, Romans 3:21-26) and EVERYONE needs a savior since the evil of mankind runs so deep there’s absolutely NOTHING anyone in this fallen world can ever do to rectify it.)
