Heroic Overture (Yevgeny Makarov) / Героическая увертюра (Е.П. Макаров)

Yevgeny Petrovich Makarov (1912-1985) presented his "Heroic Overture" (B-dur/B-flat major) for large wind band for the 40-th anniversary of October Revolution in 1957. In the same year, his teacher, outstanding Soviet composer Dmitri Shostakovich also published Symphony No. 11 "The Year 1905". Like the finale of Shostakovich's Symphony No. 11 (Part IV, Allegro non troppo - Nabat/Tocsin), the "Heroic Overture" is based on the revolutionary musical themes and especially of revolutionary song "Varshavyanka". Here is the represented second redaction of "Heroic Overture" from 1963 [?]. Play: Central Military band of Ministry of Defence of USSR (full title since 1973: The First Separate Exemplary Orchestra (Band) of Ministry of Defence of the Soviet Union), conductor: Chief of Military Band Service of the Armed Forces of USSR in 1958-1976s, Chief military conductor of the Soviet Army Major general Nikolai Mikhailovich Nazarov (1908-2000), recording for "Melodiya" of February 19, 1975.

Первый отдельный показательный оркестр Министерства обороны СССР (IОПО МО СССР), дирижёр: Начальник Военно-оркестровой службы Министерства обороны СССР, главный военный дирижёр c 1958-го по 1976-й год, Народный артист РСФСР генерал-майор Николай Михайлович Назаров (1908-2000), запись 19.02.1975 по "Мелодии" (запись для ГК СССР по радиовещанию и телевидению (Гостелерадио) 1962 года (точная дата не указана) на ~2 секунды короче, всё остальное совпадает - дополнительно уточнить).
