I’m so happy you’re doing these series here. I’ve missed seeing you on the food network in the US. Very inspirational! Thank you.

Please make the grocery stores here listen, Laura! I always go food shopping in France and bring back as much as I can.

Several of those items are available in grocery stores in Ontario. The precooked beets are sold by Farm Boy and I've purchased the cornishons with the lifter at Loblaws and other stores. Pieces of squash, pumpkin and other large veggies are also available locally. Now to encourage stores to carry those other items as well.......

This is so amusing! I've been to Paris twice last year and I went and bought some of the exact same things on your videos.
I love Le Bon Marché, Laurent Dubois and E. Dehillerin (the staff were not really intimidating). I even bought and brought home the pots from le fermeure yogurt on both occasions, last Christmas they had red festive pots which will make great cups for scented tea lights. And the markets were glorious: lapin, bread, and my favorite cheeses. I really wish I can get the chance to cook on my next trip to France, great produce, fancy people, and the best cuisine. 😁

I've seen the terra cotta french yogurt in our supermarket in NJ.

I'm hoping you've since found the preserved lemons in Chinatown in Toronto, and peices of squash can sometimes be found there as well, or at the Saturday St Lawrence farmer's market

I understand the blue yogurt pots are available in some places in the US now. Unfortunately not where I live!!

Everywhere I travel, I like to go to grocery stores, even supermarkets in the U.S. It gives me a better idea of what people eat. For example, in Rhode Island I saw shark steaks. Makes sense. Rhode Island is the Ocean State!

The canned vegetable confits, caviar de tomates and caviar d'aubergines are also surprisingly good.

I'm in the US and this is so interesting. I wish we had more choices like this, I feel like the food costs would be a bit cheaper by buying only the amount needed or wanted and some ready to go healthy choices. We have some "ready to go" things but they are expensive and full of junk.

I don't know if you've found Crème Fraîche yet but I know of two brands - Vermont Creamery and Bellwether Farms - Gelson's and Trader Joe's carries Bellwether, and Vermont Creamery and Bellwether can be found at Whole Foods. Hope this helps. :) I'm a little north of you in HB!

Also, there's Bristol Farms in NB on Avocado that sells Isigny which may be your best bet since it comes from France.
