Great video, Mark. Tried that area this past Sunday. Water was about 57 degrees. What I learned was that it must be very rocky or alot of oysters in the grassy shorelines on my way to that marsh bcuz i kept getting snagged as i'm drift fishing. Plus that channel is pretty deep about 6-8 ft. Planning to go again there soon once the winds let up. Thank u for sharing.
Mark getting roasted Sheepshead vs Drum 🤣🤣🤣 it's all good brother! Great video once again MDLR Fishing getting it done. Very nice flatty, your cooking looks good as all get out 🤙👊🎣
Man your videos makes me wanna buy a kayak! I struggle bank fishing while watching you clean up in your videos. Fellow veteran thanks for your service brother 👌🏽
I know the area very well you were fishing. That marsh you were in goes a long way back in there. A good place to go to get out of any wind. I was at rollover pass yesterday wadefishing the back side of the cut. 2 nice flatties very quickly.
Mark, after watching your vidz I went and got a used Big Game 2 and bought some Buggs from Heath and put them to use yesterday out of Stingaree (so i didn't have to hear about the election all day.) Caught a 19 inch flounder and a 24 inch red. Thanks for the great videos and the inspiration.
Heck yes!!!! Roller over pass love that area bro.. Just an idea of how long its been I use to fish that area is when flounder bag limit use to be 10. Definitely going to get me another kayak..awesome video bud thanks
You should do a blue crab dressing stuffed flounder cooking video. I wasn't sure if you knew what your fishing license it also gives you the you're allowed to have so many crab traps take your leftover fish Parts freezing in a jug when you go out put them in your crab traps getting more for your money and your time great videos get after them flatties
1/8 and 1/4 will cover you for the marsh. If you use Pro Cure be sure to apply it on the backside of the rabbit fur. I’ve tried it once but it’s really not needed.
I have caught them. The NY and NJ Fluke are much bigger in size. Just like the west coast's Halibut dwarf both the fluke and flounder. But their all fun to catch nonetheless.
Honestly I haven’t. But it could be because I just try to keep them as fresh as possible. If they’re on a stringer they’re alive until they go on ice. If I put them straight on ice it’s like the same difference. The one thing I won’t do is dispatch them and let the decay process start by leaveing them off of ice.
Mark, whatup bro? I'm so glad to be able to watch you, Nick, Robert, Chris, and the rest of you. Sorry I M. I. A. ed on y'all. Health problems brother, anyway, as always I love all your shows. Tell Nick, "I'm back!" Tight lines never stop brother!
RX Angler , hey Nick how's it going buddy? Man, sorry I missed some of your videos I'm like way behind now. I just got out of the hospital. I was there for almost a month, jeez! Going through some treatments, I feel better and will catch up on my boys fishing! keep up the videos bro, I'm starting my #watchnickandmarkvideos, marathon. Tight lines never stop brother!
LOL... this is the second time I've got the Black Drum mixed up. Roast me guys!
LMAO its ok mark we wont roast you. Easiest way to tell the difference is that black drums have 2 dorsal fins and sheepshead have 1. Awsome video btw
Lmfao
It happens.
That was a nice flatly for sure. And that definitely was a black drum not a sheepshead. Awesome video brother 🤙🏾
Fun day!! Looks like you finally found the fish!
Nice to see your excitement
Yes!!! That’s a doormat! Catch and cook!
Love the commentary Mark you had me cracking up. Great video love to watch your videos!
I was hoping that last one was a keeper red so you could claim a full slam to take home. Great video.

Wow that’s a monster flounder
Nice flounder Mark!!

😂 yeah I got that one wrong before. Last time was when I fished with TrailChaser. He corrected me and all was good. I’ll learn eventually 😂
“Brilliant little colors... just escaped outta Juve” funniest comment ever!! Thank you!!
One of these days I’m going to get my Outback in some salt water. Looks like a great time. Great vid as always dude!
massive flounder. I had one like that come out of the water just so I could see it then it broke me off on a rock. I could just stand there for a min.
Really enjoyed this. Felt like I was there with them.
Yes it was a black Drum but great day fishing. I love the Videos and keep fishing
Man your videos makes me wanna buy a kayak! I struggle bank fishing while watching you clean up in your videos. Fellow veteran thanks for your service brother 👌🏽
Caught 17 nice flounder on Big lake last Friday! Love those flat Ties!
Great video man!
Awesome video man!! Nice doormat you got!! Think that may have been a little black drum not a sheeper? The bars didn’t match up.
Awesome video bro! 🇨🇱🤘🏽🎣
I’m glad everyone caught that it was a puppy (Black) Drum!
Bro I am envious, can't wait to wet a line. Tight lines✌

Good fishing David from Colorado
Thanks for the support buddy!
That was a black drum.
You beat me to it.
Another outstanding job
I need to add.... Buggs & Hogies lures to my Arsenal that's what you call fishing 🎣 right there 🚣
Love your videos man
Man, everytime I watch your vid I'm hyped to go fish, but I realize I work in the morning, hence my name lol
Man that structure looked juicy,I would have fished all around it right on the sides might have some flounder on it.Good stuff bro!
awesome Mark! you rule man!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MDLR!!!
Thanks good buddy!
Another Great video Brother!!! Keep it up
Heck yes!!!! Roller over pass love that area bro.. Just an idea of how long its been I use to fish that area is when flounder bag limit use to be 10. Definitely going to get me another kayak..awesome video bud thanks
That sheepshead looked like a drum to me. Didn't look like it had the teeth that it should have. Looked like a fun day nonetheless.
I think it was a drum.
@@josealba7590 I agree.
Great video. Definitely a little black drum you caught. They get uglier the bigger they get lol
Nice vid mark getting close to11k good job bud
nice!!🐟🐟

Awesome flattie brother what weight of buggs would you recommend for fishing the marsh, and would you ever use procure scent on those buggs
1/8 and 1/4 will cover you for the marsh. If you use Pro Cure be sure to apply it on the backside of the rabbit fur. I’ve tried it once but it’s really not needed.
Dude love the flounder catch..your puttin in the work..quick question you ever come to palacios tx or port lavaca
Been to Port Lavaca once. Great fishing there! I’ve been wanting to go back again. Maybe soon.
If ya get a chance look up jensons point on you tube..belive me you wont be dissapointed
Lol if you think a 20 inch summer flounder is a doormat..... you oughta try fishing some New Jersey or New York back bays if you're ever in the area
I have caught them. The NY and NJ Fluke are much bigger in size. Just like the west coast's Halibut dwarf both the fluke and flounder. But their all fun to catch nonetheless.
That was a huge flattie! Think that was a drum and not a sheepy. Drum have 4 black vertical stripes. Sheepies have either 5 or 6.
Jerry Krabe you are correct..I'm sure he made a mistake
Players mess up
Lol
@@lonelycoastertx1199 I hear that. I've made that mistake plenty of times. Lol
Jerry Krabe when I catch a drum that small. I automatically look at the mouth. If I don't see those Human teeth
I know it's a puppy drum
👍👌
Do you notice a difference in the meat if you keep them on a stringer vs just putting them on ice?
Honestly I haven’t. But it could be because I just try to keep them as fresh as possible. If they’re on a stringer they’re alive until they go on ice. If I put them straight on ice it’s like the same difference. The one thing I won’t do is dispatch them and let the decay process start by leaveing them off of ice.
Be careful we have seen alligators out there and big ones.
Sweeeeeeet 😎
Actually my friend that was not a sheepshead that was a drum
That was a puppy drum, not a sheep...

My first ever flatty was from a kayak out in Port Mansfield (17.5"). Video is on my channel. Good eating. Please check it out.
I think that was a black drum not a sheepshead lol
Tell me why I started looking for a dolphin 🤦🏽♂️
That ain’t a sheepshead, that was a large mouth. Don’t you know anything?
a largemouth sheepshead for sure!
Dude, don't sell out. The ads embedded into your videos? C'mon man, make your money somewhere else.
