- Here is the video for "Monopoly on Sorrow" by 22BELOW.
22BELOW are a band from Holland. The bassist is long time friend and Cyco, "Pauly" who when not playing bass has help with many projects with ST including design and work on the bands webstore, etc.
22BELOW's first tour was also with ST, opening up the bands French Tour.
Since then they've been busy in the studio recording a huge catalog of songs and recording videos getting ready to release their debut album....new covid hit.
This version will also appear on an upcoming limited edition vinyl compilation which will feature a number of ST songs re imagined as instrumentals, with Dean Pleasants, Ben Weinman, Tim Stewart and Ricky Tillo doing guitar versions.
In addition, there will be bass solo versions with Ra Diaz, Bubby Lewis, Josh Paul, and Saya Gray.
Also appearing on the compilation is Nisha STar with her debut video release for her version of the ST song "Alone" which is posted on the Suicidal You Tube page.

"Monopoly on Sorrow" was originally recorded by Suicidal Tendencies and was featured on the album "The Art of Rebellion" and was released as a single and video in 1992.
22BELOW'S interpretation brings a new take to the song with a more dark, haunting sound to accompanying the lyrics with vocals by Madelief Licht.

Way different take on this song, don't like it at first but if you were down for ST back than you would remember that this song was off the art of rebellion album which was a totally different sound from their early albums with the acoustic guitar fusion on most of their songs on that album. Didn't like it at first, but it grew on me and is one of my favorite ST albums.
The tempo switch in the original got me from the first time I heard it, second favourite ST song behind Go Skate
