You have to cut him some slack given the situation was foisted on him by his father's passing. He made a good appointment in Mackay at least. Kensell takes a lot of flak but the business side has advanced by all accounts. I just hope we give Gray the entire season to work with these players and get us moving. Wins on the board and the gloom and criticism will lift quickly.

The appointment of Malki is disgusting and has driven a wedge between an already fractured support. The "business side" also could not be worse when they joined, so it's hardly a compliment. The commercial side was a mess, an utter shambles. Ian Gordon is not the man to move us forward (and Talent ID degree is not a thing, it simply doesnt exist), nor is Gray or Malkay... the club is a shambles.

I'm reasonably happy with the way things are going under the Gordon's. I would only say that they may have been better spreading the investment differently. From a fans point of view, you just want to see a decent team on the park. I feel this part has been neglected slightly and more put into corporate and other facilities. The result of this has been, let's be honest, a bit of a shambles football wise. I was disappointed with the closed season as I thought we were slow off the mark and ended up with more loans than I feel even the club wanted. That said, it's hard to argue that the team isn't stronger than last, but is it strong enough? Time will tell. I suppose it didn't help that MM didn't start till June, and this probably reflected some way in the trading done. I never thought that we could change overnight, and the next window, not Jan, will be a biggy for us as so many players go out of contract. The vision of getting us into Europe on a regular basis is a good one and necessary for us to generate the income we need to drive forward.

I'm not convinced our owners are taking us on right path but will properly judge end of season something just doesn't sit right with me

Interesting discussion this one guys there will always be stuff that we as fans are not privvy to. It's the nature of sport and investments. The thing we have to remember is that the Gordon family are committed and want to do the best for the club and support. They are honouring Ron's wishes.
I loved Ron the way he fronted everything and communicated to the fans on podcasts and video calls or in the media. He'd say something like right I've looked at our stadium it's lacking big screens and hospitality suites so we're going to sort that out and deliver first class facilities.
Then Boom it's delivered and what we have now is a vast improvement compared to the sir Tom farmer era of the club.

id love Ian Gordon to head down to middlesbrough FC and have a meeting with Steve Gibson a fantastic guy who know how to run a football club! im sure Steve could really help him get the structure right.
