Thank you everyone for 7 million views! When I posted this video over five years ago, I never expected it to impact so many people around the world. Yet, throughout the years reading the comments on these videos (Yes, I do read them!), I've been continully moved by your stories. To my fellow Pokémon fans around the world, of all ages and occupations, thank you for listening to and enjoying my playlists. Whether it's to focus on work, fall asleep, reduce your anxiety, or to simply escape the moment to relive a part of your childhood, I'm honored to be a part of it!
This compilation is absolutely incredible, from the visual to the assortment of tracks. While it is so relaxing and peaceful, it is also so moving to be taken back into our younger years when things were more simple, thank you for this
This may sound stupid to some people but listening to this music made me realize I had grown up. I'm in college now and I could not focus on studying and I just wanted to continue doing what I had always done since I was a kid which was mess around without caring too much about anything. This made me realize I have to care as I'm an adult now and I have to do my best to get myself the best future possible. It's actually kinda funny. When I was a kid playing Pokemon I always wanted to be an adult because I wanted freedom. But now I'd love to be a kid again and do stuff without a care in the world. Thanks for posting this music it's really beautiful.
I began reading your comment as "Don't Ever Forget" was playing, and it was honestly a beautiful, if not sad representation of what it's really like to grow up, having to do things for you because you have to, in order to be able to be what you want to.
I honestly know how you feel because I used to do the same time when I was a little kid. Time just flies by and we don't know how much time flies when we are children. It makes us want to go back to the good old days and do it all over again but things like this is what makes us relive childhood memories. It honestly makes me think about my childhood and how much I miss it so I honestly know how you feel and understand how it feels
Same boat here! Just started college this fall and sometimes I'll listen to this while doing homework, and it evokes such a strong sense of nostalgia. This music and the memories I attach to these games make me so relaxed. So glad this compilation exists
The fact that they’re so simple yet beautiful is probably why it meant so much to kids during the era. It was easy to learn how to play the games and so easy to like. That combined with the music in the background makes the games so memorable.
I wish we lived in a Pokemon world... (sigh) (Edit) I swear, every other reply to this is, “But the Pokémon would kill us all!” Does that happen in the anime or the game? No. That’s the kind of world I’m talking about.
Please, remove "it's good for study" from the description. I can't see my book with my eyes full of tears. This is pure nostalgia, you can't really understand how much you care about something superficial like a game until you try something like this compilation and just cry the hell out of you. I love these games and I love you for putting all of this toghether. Thank you.
As a soulsilver player, 2:20 hits like hell. I remember when I was 6 and singing along with the music. I went back a gen or two now, playing Pokemon Sapphire and Red.
Don’t Ever Forget.....its been 10 years yet when this started playing I instantly remembered where this was from. Ten years ago.....I still haven’t forgotten you, Eevee, Grovyle, Vulpix
@@andrewyan639 that's actually a funny story. I'm italian. When i was i child i wasn't able to speak or understand english, but for some reasons my first pokemon game was platinum in english. When i got my chimchar i saw a screen full of letters and number popping out, since i didn't know what it was i just typed in some random letters and i gave my chimchar the nickname "GDAGDJ". And because i was not able to understand english i had never got the oppurtunity to change his nickname since i didn't knew about the Name Rater.
I'm so glad Nintendo didn't remove these Pokémon compilations, every now and then I come back to them to relax or study. Thanks a lot for making these :)
I will never forget how much it made me cry I actually put down my ds for like 5 mins to just cry at the death of a character who helped me and my partner so much along the way (not mentioning the character for spoiler reasons)
even though we’re all in 2020 now it still feels like were back in the good old days of generation 4-6. pokemon has really shaped the way i am today and it has a special place in my heart. i can’t believe who i am today is partly because of a video game franchise, it seems too superficial to be based on a game. but these games that game freak are producing are making so many people happy and it makes me cry tears of happiness that i was born when i was. being able to experience all these fond memories that i truly cherish, i am so willing to go back to this time where all i could think if was get home from school and play the pokemon game for the next few hours. pokemon has made my life full of emotions i can’t even describe. i am so happy that i grew up on pokemon, it feels like i couldn’t function right without experiencing the adventures that awaited me in the world of pokemon. what im trying to say is that i hope everyone watching this in 2020 is living their best life even thiugh we are all going through something whether it be heartbreak, loss of a loved one, or even sickness. i truly hope everyone who has played and grew up playing pokemon or is even new to it, i hope you all keep living well. and just know that your pokemon will always love you no matter what happens. my fellow pokemon masters i wish you luck in the rest of your lives. Gotta catch ‘em all
And i can't wait to look back on x and y and just cry from joy and nostalgia. They are my favorite games and I feel like I can play through it ten thousand times and it'll never get old
I am so grateful for your comment, @GRIMMELY 105, thank you so much! It means a lot not only to me, but certainly to others. I wish you all the best for your shiny future! Gotta catch 'em all! :)
The saddest part of the video is when you notice that no matter how many more pokemon games you play, they will never feel the same as they used to do.
everyone's sitting here talking about how they're crying over "don't ever forget" yet my ass crying about "emotion"/"an unwavering heart" and "memories returned"
bro i grew up with get 4 and gen 5 games and tbh, i wish i could go back to the first time i got a pokemon game and get that same feeling of figuring everything out, i never realized how much pokemon grew on me ( this is such a lie). im half crying right now thinking about how much ive learned from these games and how long these game grew up with me.
I remember being a kid around the age of 8-10 and playing Pokemon non stop on my red DS lite. Around that time I had lost my last grandparent and I have very bad depression. I went to counseling but it never helped. The only counseling I ever needed was Pokemon. My work and my Pokemon and the relationships I made with them kept me in this world today. Everytime I listen to Explorers of Time music I cry, everytime I listen to Eterna Forest I cry. Now that I'm older I look back on those memories and I'm so thankful that I'm still in this Earth because of Pokemon. I lost all my cartridges on a plane I'll never see again sadly. But my first ever Pokemon, a Totodile, squirt, will forever live with me.
I wish I didn't have to be ashamed of listening to songs like this and being into Pokemon. But when you're raised with people who are less accepting and surrounded by people who are even worse at that it's very hard to be yourself. So at the end of the day, when I'm done putting on a mask to please everyone around me, I go home and find time for myself, being free to love the things that I like. Even just for a while.
I hope you all can find time for just yourselves to truly love your hobbies and yourself. Dont be ashamed for liking what you like. For what its worth you all have my respect, after all we share at least one similar intrest :)
dudeee same! literally everyone around me either doesnt like pokemon or doesnt like when i rant about what ive done in my shield copy today. i have no actual friends into pokemon and it makes me upset. but my social anxiety prevents me from asking people about if they are into pokemon and such.
I listened to this compilation for 4 years. I started listening during freshman year of high school when I struggled to stay focused on studying for biology. This compilation has been something that I've revisited every time I need something to focus - I used it a lot during freshman year. Gradually I started listening less and less, I got ADHD medication and did all my work at school. I revisited this today to work on a senior year English final semester project. I'm a senior now, graduating soon. It's crazy. I still have the order of the tracks memorized and listening now just brings back so much nostalgia. Thank you for everything, I could not have made it through high school without you. :)
Me too! :) I'm at my 5 year mark now, started listening freshmen year of highschool now Im at college. It's my first time turning this on to focus this year but as soon as I turned it on the nostalgia came rushing back in. Its funny, theres so many playlists yet I always come back to this one.
I’m also a senior! I remember the days in elementary where I would play this all day w my brother. I’ve only just picked it back up now, after thinking Pokémon was just a child game. Silly how we grow up and reminisce on the past, lol.
just completed sky for the first time, having played time years ago. every time im like, "Its just a game bro, no need to get emotional, everything's.... fine.... *sob*
I have completed Darkness and Sky once each, and I have Time to go on and New Game. I have completed it like 44 times and I'm still crying when 4:57 and 31:55 pop in [ :'( and :') respectively]
All the nostalgia when listening to the Diamond/Pearl songs though! Btw the Snowpoint City song is not the same without hearing the sound of snow being crushed under your feet 😅
That snow crunch was equally frustrating (trying to get to Snowpoint in the first place) and calming. Also reminds me of when I had gotten the Master Ball at some point and threw it at a Machoke, only to realize during the Dialga battle (I had Diamond) that I was a stupid child
Me too: this playlist (and volumes 2 and 3) have gotten me through all of high school, a 2-year church mission, and half of college so far. Here's to 7 more years!
Honestly...seeing people share their stories and feelings about Pokemon, and seeing how I can relate to nearly all of them, truly brings tears to my eyes. You all are very strong and brave people. From dealing with a troubled childhood, to finding an escape from reality and having one thing that unites like-minded individuals together in a moment of nostalgia...it's something so beautiful yet indescribable almost. I truly do not know how different my life would've been had I have not found Pokemon...It was the only thing that kept me sane through 18 years of abuse and confinement. I usually never rant on the internet, but I don't know...seeing so many people I can relate to in such a personal way, just made me want to speak as well. Thank you for taking the time to read a stranger's comment. I hope life is good for you, and may you succeed in any and all your endeavors.
Hey guys/gals, I know for a lot of you this is bringing back some pretty nice childhood memories. I know it is for me. Most of us have grown up and now and we are stuck being adults and are forced into doing things we may or may not love... it may seem impossible to move forward or you are stuck in a rut.. or you just don't want to be an adult anymore. Just remember this. This entire game, franchise and music was all composed by adults, whom are now elderly or getting up there. They made this... for us. So we could have memories like this and we could love what they made. Now I know whatever you may being go through may be hard, but I want you to try and make sure you can make something that a younger you can look forward to and then later on look back at and have the same feeling you are getting right now.
Thanks Just one correction though, they probably made it for quick and easy money, or at least they do now, because when they make a new game of course everyone has to buy it
@@LeeTwentyThree Ah my friend, you mistake game freak higher ups for the people actually producing the content. You don't think that the people behind this music put their heart and soul into this to make is sound as magical as what it does to our ears as well as nostalgic? I grantee people's blood sweet and tears were put into this project to make it sound amazing. Now while we may have grips with "Game-Freak" the coorporation running pokemon right now... don't hate the people behind the passion of pokemon.
shhhh it’s ok, crying means you’re a strong enough to show your feelings. don’t lie and say you’re not crying. now let your tears fall until there’s none left and have a good day.
My first game was SoulSilver and my first Pokemon was a Cyndaquil, named Flare. He took me to The Champion, and then onto Kanto. Thanks For the journey my fiery friend. I'll miss you buddy.
To everyone who's studying with this music: Checklist: • A bottle of water, at least 1liter. Your brain works better if it has enough water and drinking helps you to concentrate💧 • Your charger. You sometimes don't even notice that your device's battery is going down, so better have it plugged in all the time🔋 • Your headphones. You will be able to focus more with headphones, because it blocks background noises. Also, if it's a late night study session, you won't wake up anyone🎧 • a tea or coffee. Coffee keeps you awake, green or black tea can make you feel more awake as well.☕ • Your study/work stuff: your laptop/tablet/phone , a few pens, paper or whatever you need.⌨ •Anything else you could need, what about a heat pad, a blanket, a good lamp, your pet so you have a study buddy 🐈 Reminder : After an hour, you should stand up and walk a bit around. Better stop the music or put on different music for the break. Open your window, even if it's cold outside. Fresh air will make it better, trust me. You could also lay your head down on your desk for ten minutes and listen to a podcast. Or, if you have to read a book, listen to the audiobook of it. You can also listen to the audiobook while doing another thing, that's even better than listening to music while reading the book. I hope y'all had a good day, if not, that's okay too. Remember to take care of yourself and try to get some sleep tonight 😴🧸 This comment isn't originally mine, but I think it can help a lot of people ^^
I agree with everything but the charger. If you keep it plugged in all the time you not only risk an explosion, but it also consumes a lot of energy. Keep it near you but unplugged
My first memory is little 5 year old me peaking over my sisters shoulder and seeing pokemon white on the filthy DS screen I could barley see and hearing this music. Listening to it now hits like a semi truck.
Have this theory, we all love Pokemon so much, for the great times we had playing it, for the excellent history line all the games have. But, perphaps it gets depper than this. Perhaps is all about the music the games have. Makes me wonder every time I hear the Sinnoh soundtrack how great life was back then, not only because the games; tne enviroment in which I lived back then. We all not have the same life, but sure we do all get nostalgic from this. It makes you think, there's absolutly no bad Pokemon game, you can love one generation than the others but in the end, you end up playing them anyways. Because we get this atmosphera, this world, this music we hope our life could have too. This is a bit too long but I'm looking at my Pokemon Pearl game right now, looking at my first Pokemon League conque. It was 2007. My game is still working, my starter is right there, a fantastic Empoleon. There is my childhood. And now I'm gonna walk all over the region just to listen to the marvelous soundtrack it have.
Well said. The games all remind me of back then when I had time to play them. Right now, even with the 6th gen and 7th gen along with ORAS, it doesn't feel right anymore. Idk why, it's probably because I have so many things going on right now that I can't just be fully immersed in the games.
Sad? Play Pokemon Bored? Play Pokémon Tired? Play Pokemon Hate Pokemon? Play Pokemon Hate Pokemon Anime? Watch Pokémon Anime. That's my theory and daily routine of my life.
But alas, none as kawaii as, well. . . Every tune about Lillie. And pretty much Lillie in general. Oh, and Gladion he's just a precious little edgelord.
I'm about to graduate high school. This has undoubtedly been one crazy, stressful year, however I survived. I'm writing my last major english essay to this playlist and praying that it'll be enough to let me walk the stage. Good luck to everyone out there as the school year finishes up. You've done a great job, and if no ones told you this yet, I'm proud of you!
People are crying over "Don't Ever Forget" and "Memories Return" but to be perfectly honest when "Pokémon League (Day)" started playing I actually teared up, gen 4 represent
We've all done it eh? I remember my parents would always check my room to make sure I wasn't playing pokemon in bed... On many different occasions did they find, under my covers, a hidden ds that i had been playing pokemon diamond on at 3 in the morning...
I left a comment here as a senior in high school about how this compilation had gotten me through high school. I came back to update that I am now in my fourth semester of college (a sophomore) and just recently got a tattoo of Haunter! I still come back to use this to study for even tougher tests. I thought I had it rough in high school - MAN I was not ready for the struggles I would go through with this playlist in the background. I am so happy this is still up for me to listen to. Thank you for changing the course of my study habits forever LOL! Hoping you’re doing good braix :)

So many comments about 4th and 5th gen games, I feel like the Mistery Dungeon series is so underrated. Personnally, I think it had the most emocional storyline by far and the best soundtrack also, specially Explorers of Sky
Sergio del Río Reyes agree. but I think both of the dungeon was great, I've tried 3 versions on DS and now im on the gates to infinity, they all so good: bright world, great music sound-track, cute story line
Yeah, those games are under-rated pretty much, especially EoD/T/S which the story and the OST were so cool that it has been the best game I've played so far.
i agree dude, Mystery is so awesome, because your a pokemon, not a trainer. and the music composed is beautiful and on point. hearing Don't Ever Forget is sad and brings back memories, plus its so on point.
Every time I have a tough time sleeping I slap this sucker on with the rest of the music comps for the old Pokemon games, even now as I’m in the military, from after bootcamp, to the west coast, and finally even to Japan I’ll throw this on when I need finally wind down after a long day and get some rest. Goated music, Goated video💪🏾
"Don't ever forget" and "Emotion" in a relaxing music compilation?! I can't relax to something that rips my heart out and beats it with a bat every time I hear it.
58:42 (twinleaf town) is probably one of the most emotional themes in Pokémon for me because Platinum was the first ever game I played. Not Pokémon game but video game. I never saw my dad a lot as a kid since his job was in a completely different part of the state, and I was pretty terrible at making friends most of childhood. But, I always had this game. I spent hundreds of hours with my Torterra and I loved every second of it. Whenever I hear this song, it reminds me of those times. Both starting out on a new journey or just becoming the new Pokémon league champion, I'll never forget this game or this franchise. It certainly was an amazing trip.
It's not until you're older to realize how much you miss your childhood good or bad. I remember playing pokemon black to escape reality and have some fun while I was at it. I miss the good times.
Pokémon has united countless people in a way that no ethnicity, religion, race, political ideology or nationality ever could. This franchise has brought up an entire generation of people and inspired such powerful emotions that help us be in touch with what it means to be human. Whatever brought you here, whoever you’re going, wherever you end up, Pokémon has brought us together and always will, and no matter what happens, I will always appreciate that and look back on the incredible role it played on my childhood forever.
When I listen to this I feel nostalgia to the point we're want to cry since this just reminds me about all Pokemon games I have played and starts making me remember the best parts of my life
Unova and Mystery Dungeon have the best music IMO. Explorers of sky is my favourite game of all time and will probably always be. Unova is my favourite region/game in the main series mostly for the story and music. But Explorers of sky is somethin else, the only game to legitimately make me cry. I'm so glad that everyone who has played the Explorers games enjoys the music as much as I do. Words cannot express how good that game is, same for Black and White which has VERY sad songs such as emotions and N's goodbye. Pokémon has made a drastic impact on my life and I will never forget it as long as I shall live.
Goddamn time has passed... From getting my first turtwig, beating Cynthia, driving in karts on spectacular racing tracks, finding new friends, both pokemon and people. Starting paintball fights, playing soccer. Placing some blocks, having swordfights, driving tanks, flying warbirds and firing guns, finally returning, to my good old Torterra, my life has been a rollercoaster, both in gaming and reality. It’s these nice and quiet moments I enjoy most, but life goes on and these moments go away with only few of them being left. Man thinking back of my whole gaming life, back then I would’ve never thought to play a shooter and fly arround an endless ocean filled with clouds, and my real life, man I never could have guessed I would turn out the way I did, meeting the people I met and generally being able to get past all those bad times... There’s a lot waiting for not just me, but us all in this world. Let’s see what the future has planned for us... Let us see it together everyone
My first Pokemon experience was Platinum, I also picked turtwig... I still have him, my first Pokemon will always be with me no matter what. A special bond that will never be broken.
@@adriansmith7730 my first Pokemon game was Diamond and Turtwig was my first Pokemon ever. I lost the game along with Pearl but got Platinum a few years back and in honor of my first pal I got another Turtwig, he's one of my favorites and always will be
Grovyle's sacrifice to send Dusknoir back to the future. Explorers plot was the best combination!! Mystery and feels and it was something new and you were curious to see how it will turn out.
Oh gosh. My mood throughout this playlist was pretty much: -Heyyy, I loved this relaxing town theme! -*Crying hysterically* -Ah, good old times~ Love your playlists!
Ya Boi most relatable post ever. I no joke saw this vid while studying for my first Finals ever, and I was like “aight just some old treasure to listen to while I study for like 3 hours.” I just resulted In crying remembering my chill life with no drama, no stress disorders, and no sleepless nights, except for when I played Pokémon
iluvsnickers 155 I almost called the second gen games my first, but the first gen games actually we're my first. my most fond memories came from the second though.
I just remembered one of my first playthroughs of Explorers of Darkness. I chose Treecko as my partner. When Grovyle revealed that I was his human partner, I teorized about my partner being the past's Grovyle. TBH that would have been a beautiful plot twist, but I don't want to dehydrate by crying lol
Still waiting for the day I wake up and see on the news "Reports have been saying there seems to be many strange creatures being found all over the place, including a very hostile animal with the resemblance of a.... sea dragon near beaches? (Am I reading this right Tod?) We have no idea what is happening, but we'll be back with more information at 5." And then I look out my window to see some jumpluffs floating away as a rattata chases them, a Furret skitting across the sidewalk..... A true dream come true is what that would be...
I’d love it to see the little Brown Fox with a Heart-Shaped tail at the end, with the fur around its neck and a cute face. I’d pick it up and say, “I’ll call you Eevee.”
8th in Line on that one save file.. I had also had the 1st 2nd and 3rds full set of legendaries like 5 times over because when I wasnt on diamond and pearl I was running one of the older games.
I remember doing all the daily missions and fights every day in Pokemon White when I was like 9 yo and I had about 3000+ hours because I didn't have any other games at that time
if you haven't played it, i reccomend you do, not just for that one song, and the emotion we all felt when it played, but for everything else as well. i'm currently playing through it, i'm on like chapter 15, and when i tell you it's a good story, i mean it's a near perfect story. i try to predict stuff all the time, and i usually can predict things, i could not predict what happened.
I know nobody will see this so this is just for myself if I come back to this. When we’re kids we always think that we’ll be free when we’re adults. The truth is, now I’m about to go to college, and with all the responsibilities I see in front of me I realize that real freedom is coming home, eating a hot bowl of rice my dad made for me, and playing Pokémon on my ds on the couch.

Ok I just had to tell someone this. I don’t know why, but for some reason I just hate the Fortree City music from ORAS with a passion. There’s just something wrong with it.
I straight up cried my eyes out when “Wi-Fi Chat” from Pokémon Diamond/Pearl came on. So many good memories and I wish I could just go back to those days.
Hi ! I just wanted to say that I've finished writing my master's thesis and you have a special line in the acknowledgements because your Pokémon music compilations helped me a lot to focus all year long, thank you so much !!
Even though I never played Mystery Dungeons or Black and White, "Emotion"/"An Unwavering Heart", "Memories Return", and "Don't Ever Forget" still made me nostalgic and sad. My eyes even watered a bit. Just the raw soul put into this music makes me want to cry over something I never even experienced. Thank you Game Freak.
I promise you, if you have not played any of the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series yet, it is entirely worth it. They are an absolute masterpiece, through the story, character design, music, world design and more. Even playing it on an emulator will be worth it if you don't have a console. Hell, there is PMD DX which is a remake of Red / Blue on the Switch. Go out of your way to play them and you will not regret it, I cry every time I play through the game, even though I have done entire playthroughs approximately 20 times now.
10:42 Right in the feels. When I played Pokémon White back in 2011, I found the argument between Bianca and her father in Nimbasa City "powerful". When Bianca's father decided to let Bianca continue her journey and said "Bon voyage", I said "Merci monsieur".
In a 2 years there will be some sort of event and we will all listen to this daily because of that. After that a Sinnoh remake will come. Screencap this.
Today was a long day. I was cleaning up the garage for 10+ hours. Exhausted. Was about to go to bed but found out my cat went underneath a very tiny space under the water heater. I spent 3 hours trying to get him out. I first tried to lure him out with toys and stuff, but he was scared since he’s in an unfamiliar place. Then I used a golf club, a cloth hanger, a broom , etc… spent all my energy and might have brute forced him a little but finally got him out🤣 He probably gonna hate me for a while for using brute force😢 But I hope he knows it’s for the best of him. I love him and I hope he still loves me. It’s tough to be a pet owner. I think this is what a Pokémon trainer feels like😅
Pokemon atleast in anime can understand human speech and can easily be directed, the world would look vastly vastly different it we could understand animal speech
Oh my this is kinda sad for me knowing my childhood has slipped past me oh how I wish I can curl up with my ds playing Pokémon black and diamond (I miss the old games 5 and back
me too... I miss the days where I would come home from school, flip open my DSi, and play the day away in the Pokémon world...it’s nice to revisit these memories, isn’t it?
Is it okay that I’m crying Pokémon IS my childhood and always will be. This reminds me of the day I got diamond and pearl, that day will always treasure in my heart. Diamond and pearl is my favourite Pokémon game. Thank you for making this😭memories will always be cherished
My first games that I owned were Diamond & Pearl, got them when I was about 7 :) I love the music from the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games too, their storylines are always great
I've played PMD explorers enough that my emotions have kinda numbed to just the music, without the actual plot happening too (of course that still tears me up, not made of stone) but man the nostalgia from DP is real. hearing some of these songs was like a punch to the gut.
This is by far the video i watched the most, everytime I want to chill i listen to it, every time I have to focus i listen to it, everytime I'm stressed i listen to it. I'm 25 now and these musics will forever be a part of my best memories

I know a lot of other comments said this but listening to this really makes you realize how fast life goes, I remember laying and bed all day and night playing is listening to this music and finding it annoying. Playing the new games, in my opinion, don't have the old DS and Game boy vibes, and just remembering all these songs and tearing up is just so nice in the crazy world we live in now. Pokemon has a special place in so many hearts and listening to the music of the old games feels like a time machine in your brain of going back to when you did not have a care in the world and just played Pokemon. The memories I have gotten from these games will be with me for a lifetime and always being able to come back and listen to the music is amazing. Thank you.
I’ve seen a lot of people speak of how they yearn for the freedom they had as a child. But look at you now, you are free. What you think may be binding you might not be as important as you think. You are at a time in your life where you can afford to travel the world, backpacking around like the Pokemon trainer you always wanted to be as a kid. You are free
I'm 7 again. I pulled up the rain video, and now i don't want to do anything but sit here and listen to the music. God so many memories are flooding my mind. I am tearing up
The way nowadays this playlist gave double the nostalgia. The feeling of playing these games for the first times and the feeling of listening to this playlist during my college era
Too much nostalgia! My heart is melting...especially at "emotion". Pokémon will forever be a part of my life, so much effort and love that has been put in this game. This was the time of my life, where I was HAPPY!
I'm crying beacuse my DS lite is broken and I can't play to pokemon platinum, and those songs are almost all about it. I have to do something. I need a new Ds, I absolutely need it.
Cianwood City/Ecruteak City really makes me wanna play HGSS again. I love those games with all my heart. I sometimes even cry when I listen to these songs. My nostalgic memories really get my emotions going again. Even 8 years later, I still love these songs. Y'all can fight me, but I think these are the most beautiful tracks here. And yes, I might be a bit biased, but you can't at least deny that these notes make one amazing melody. And hey, respect to Johto.
I also loved HGSS. Great games, 10/10, loved having legendary Pokemon follow behind you 😂😂 (I owned both but played SoulSilver the most... I named my Lugia "Popcorn")
I have so much nostalgia for this series... I constantly come back to this video to relive some of the older days of my childhood when times were easier. If you're reading this, I hope you have an incredible day, week, month, and year of 2024. Happy late Spring from May 1st and I hope you're doing well. :)
"There's a Time and Place for Everything." - The quote that always annoyed me. But I'll always remember it, and relate it to my every day life. Great playlist you put together. Thank you!
As a kid I was bullied, not to the extent were I needed therapy nor physical harassment, but it was annoying. This was around the time I turned 10 and my grandma gave me a Nintendo 3DS (just came out). For me this was huge. My favorite game I put many hours in was Pokémon (I would rate the Pokémon series as one of the best games ever made plus Minecraft) so when I moved to a different school in middle school I felt I would have trouble fitting in like my old school. However a kid saw I was new and said do you like Pokémon I replied yes and we became best friends and I still keep in contact with him even though he goes to a different school and we still love the Pokémon series. Pokémon helped me connect in a way where I was able to make long lasting friends. So Pokémon has really changed me and I am greatfull for that.
everyone's getting feels from songs like "Don't Ever Forget" or "Memories Return" on pokemon, while i'm sitting here with "Emotion" don't judge me, alright?? that game was honestly one of my favorites and i nearly cried at the ending. don't judge me, alright?
***** It's probably because I never wanted to really finish my Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games lmao Especially the one with a Skitty and Piplup. Plus I'm a huge nerd and I don't even want to finish anything.
***** i just didn't have much emotion for PMD. i didn't really finish it because i lazily didn't want to finish a mission, i think. pokemon black and white was my favorite, i played it when i was about 5 or 7.
Hearing this compilation always makes me nostalgic for the time spent playing pokemon DPPt and the mystery dungeon series as a kid. I still miss being carefree and fully enjoying all of my pokemon games without excessively worrying about my future. It was the golden age, and my younger self didn't even realize. Years later this is making me nostalgic as I listened to the same compilation while typing essays and working on projects during college until I graduated last year. I'm in a really dark place right now in my life. Things haven't gone as well as I thought, depressed, anxious, suicidal thoughts, all of these adult responsibilities that we all have to do sooner or later just sucks. Cheers to everyone who can handle them all. I want to to be able to overcome it all, but Im losing grip on hope at this point. *I wish I can go back*
I comprehend you. I’ve had similar experiences and I’ve passed through difficult situations since I grew up too. I know that sometimes our lifes suck and because of this reason we want to end it. But, if you’re still there, don’t commit suicide because that will hurt your beloved ones as well as you still have the possibility to improve it and change the aspects that you dislike by investing in yourself. Please, don’t surrender, but also have some faith in yourself, believe me, you’re going to see the results. I wish you the best, follow this advice of mine and you won’t regret.
Everyone is crying about the childhood memories but i never even heard some of these songs and i feel nostalgic even though i have no memories of these... edit: woah! 101 likes? Thank you! This is the most i have ever gotten!
Patrick Star, these songs just make me feel so weird even tho I have never played the games, I am too young to feel nostalgic because I wasn’t the age I’d start playing them, I’m 12 and most people have played them at my age and now they are grown adults now.
I feel that in a way that this franchise connects us all in a way, we all have different childhoods and lives but this game is the same for all of us and brings us happy vibes it’s amazing how something meant for entertainment can connect millions of people and the developers didn’t even realize I love Pokémon and always will and thank you Pokemon and everyone else for making lives so much better if it were me I would have every person play Pokémon and that would literally make almost world peace guaranteed
Same for everyone but me. I was always into pokemon but started with cards then pogo. Still haven't gotten to play any of the games yet. I still love and enjoy the music and have a decent knowledge on the pokedex tho.
I’ve watched this compilation so many times when I just need music to relax to. Thank you so much💙
This compilation is absolutely incredible, from the visual to the assortment of tracks. While it is so relaxing and peaceful, it is also so moving to be taken back into our younger years when things were more simple, thank you for this
Gracias a ti!
I am from Taiwan and I love this music, it reminds me of my childhood 😀😀😀
thank you for your wonderful taste in music
This may sound stupid to some people but listening to this music made me realize I had grown up. I'm in college now and I could not focus on studying and I just wanted to continue doing what I had always done since I was a kid which was mess around without caring too much about anything. This made me realize I have to care as I'm an adult now and I have to do my best to get myself the best future possible. It's actually kinda funny. When I was a kid playing Pokemon I always wanted to be an adult because I wanted freedom. But now I'd love to be a kid again and do stuff without a care in the world. Thanks for posting this music it's really beautiful.
My man
Literally me every time I listen to a nostalgic or an emotional song.
Only Pokémon can bring so much peace on a comment section, love you all, and let's never grow up together
You're right! This is literally the most friendly comment section I have ever seen on a UA-cam video.
Same here!😃
You're right but Have a look on the minecraft one ;)
DaBéOh no stop making me sad me no likey being sad
Gotta reconsider that when someone says "Gen SomethinSeomthing is the best Pokemon Generation"
I love how almost all of these great songs are from the DS era... wow you never really realize how much you love something until it’s over
The sound chip on that thing is the ultimate balance between quality and simplicity.
Most Pokemon games are from the DS era.
The fact that they’re so simple yet beautiful is probably why it meant so much to kids during the era. It was easy to learn how to play the games and so easy to like. That combined with the music in the background makes the games so memorable.
Don’t be sad that it’s over, be glad that it happened :)

Please, remove "it's good for study" from the description. I love these games and I love you for putting all of this toghether. Thank you.
As a soulsilver player, 2:20 hits like hell. I remember when I was 6 and singing along with the music. I went back a gen or two now, playing Pokemon Sapphire and Red.

even though we’re all in 2020 now it still feels like were back in the good old days of generation 4-6. pokemon has really shaped the way i am today and it has a special place in my heart. i can’t believe who i am today is partly because of a video game franchise, it seems too superficial to be based on a game. but these games that game freak are producing are making so many people happy and it makes me cry tears of happiness that i was born when i was. being able to experience all these fond memories that i truly cherish, i am so willing to go back to this time where all i could think if was get home from school and play the pokemon game for the next few hours. pokemon has made my life full of emotions i can’t even describe. i am so happy that i grew up on pokemon, it feels like i couldn’t function right without experiencing the adventures that awaited me in the world of pokemon. what im trying to say is that i hope everyone watching this in 2020 is living their best life even thiugh we are all going through something whether it be heartbreak, loss of a loved one, or even sickness. i truly hope everyone who has played and grew up playing pokemon or is even new to it, i hope you all keep living well. and just know that your pokemon will always love you no matter what happens. my fellow pokemon masters i wish you luck in the rest of your lives. Even just for a while.
that's really sad, pls search friends with the same taste as you, someone that makes fun of your hobies is not a good person

MrRisePlays trying not to cry after reading this comment, thank you man.
Wow, thank you so much for your wise words. So eye-opening.
Never thought about it that way... That's a beautiful and deep interpretation of this music. Thanks for sharing! Certainly opened my eyes.

Just one correction though, they probably made it for quick and easy money, or at least they do now, because when they make a new game of course everyone has to buy it

• A bottle of water, at least 1liter. Your brain works better if it has enough water and drinking helps you to concentrate💧
• Your charger. You sometimes don't even notice that your device's battery is going down, so better have it plugged in all the time🔋
• Your headphones. You will be able to focus more with headphones, because it blocks background noises. Also, if it's a late night study session, you won't wake up anyone🎧
• a tea or coffee. Coffee keeps you awake, green or black tea can make you feel more awake as well.☕

Reminder : After an hour, you should stand up and walk a bit around.
Remember to take care of yourself and try to get some sleep tonight 😴🧸

"for the excellent history line all the games have."

Just curious. Are the Pokémon in the picture your personal team or is this just really good art?
So many comments about 4th and 5th gen games, I feel like the Mistery Dungeon series is so underrated. Personnally, I think it had the most emocional storyline by far and the best soundtrack also, specially Explorers of Sky
Sergio del Río Reyes particulary at 53:00 during this moment I was so sad cause our friend leave us..
Métamorph Shiny
I think you are right. The second PMD Gen is completely awesome. Even after all those years the story brings me to tears.
i agree dude, Mystery is so awesome, because your a pokemon, not a trainer. and the music composed is beautiful and on point. hearing Don't Ever Forget is sad and brings back memories, plus its so on point.
Every time I have a tough time sleeping I slap this sucker on with the rest of the music comps for the old Pokemon games, even now as I’m in the military, from after bootcamp, to the west coast, and finally even to Japan I’ll throw this on when I need finally wind down after a long day and get some rest.

We need more people like you in this world.
Thats so true...!
I wouldn't make a claim as big as that but I definitely understand where you're coming from :/
When I listen to this I feel nostalgia to the point we're want to cry since this just reminds me about all Pokemon games I have played and starts making me remember the best parts of my life
I want to listen to this when I'm old to feel happy :)

Unova was great when it came to soundtracks.

Let’s see what the future has planned for us...

if you haven't played it, i reccomend you do, not just for that one song, and the emotion we all felt when it played, but for everything else as well. i'm currently playing through it, i'm on like chapter 15, and when i tell you it's a good story, i mean it's a near perfect story. i try to predict stuff all the time, and i usually can predict things, i could not predict what happened.

Thank you, this is helpful
I am tearing up
Though Lilycove City is THEE relaxing pokemon song
*ahemNUVEMATOWNahem*
Snorlaxatives TM I literally spend 1 hour and 15 minutes in my bed listening this xD
Title: Relaxing Pokemon music
Me: *Literally crying 10 minutes in*
You survived 10 minutes? mad respect dude
me 5 minutes in:
@@ne0ne0n I want to believe, that this is absolutely normal! :x
Coming back here after the Sinnoh remakes were announced. It's time to overdose on nostalgia.
Hey again bro
If nostalgia was a drug it would be banned by the united nations
WUUUUT did my ears hear?!
A sinnoh REMAKE?!
Holy gawd thank u dude For mentioning it!! You’re my Hero For that!😳
Sheesh, I wonder if there's anything that I like that you don't like 😅
First time I see you without 1k.
80€ for a new 2ds.
I already have a 3DS but I use the R4... And well, I prefer nintendo than pc. Guess I'll wait for the next ds lite :P
Sure, I know. I was saying that I'll buy one in the flea market
My DS lite broke 2 weeks before I got a 3DS.
still got a DSI, trying to get some money for a 3DS, anybody who wants to buy a DSI? Kappa
So Pokémon has really changed me and I am greatfull for that.
everyone's getting feels from songs like "Don't Ever Forget" or "Memories Return" on pokemon, while i'm sitting here with "Emotion"
don't judge me, alright??
that game was honestly one of my favorites and i nearly cried at the ending.
don't judge me, alright?
***** It's probably because I never wanted to really finish my Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games lmao
Especially the one with a Skitty and Piplup.
Plus I'm a huge nerd and I don't even want to finish anything.
never played PMD, didn't like the one i played before
Oh good I'm not the only one. >.>
***** i just didn't have much emotion for PMD. i didn't really finish it because i lazily didn't want to finish a mission, i think.
pokemon black and white was my favorite, i played it when i was about 5 or 7.
Shayla ZEKROM
Same.
man when emotion started playing, the tears kicked in. i haven't heard it in forever and hearing it again just brought back so many memories TT
Everyone is crying about the childhood memories but i never even heard some of these songs and i feel nostalgic even though i have no memories of these... edit: woah! 101 likes? Thank you! This is the most i have ever gotten!
its bc your Patrick
most likely watched lets plays or something, thats the same with me
felt that
Patrick Star, these songs just make me feel so weird even tho I have never played the games, I am too young to feel nostalgic because I wasn’t the age I’d start playing them, I’m 12 and most people have played them at my age and now they are grown adults now.
this is me rn
I feel that in a way that this franchise connects us all in a way, we all have different childhoods and lives but this game is the same for all of us and brings us happy vibes it’s amazing how something meant for entertainment can connect millions of people and the developers didn’t even realize I love Pokémon and always will and thank you Pokemon and everyone else for making lives so much better if it were me I would have every person play Pokémon and that would literally make almost world peace guaranteed
Agreed. Everyone would be much happier
Same for everyone but me. I was always into pokemon but started with cards then pogo. Still haven't gotten to play any of the games yet. I still love and enjoy the music and have a decent knowledge on the pokedex tho.
Pokemon really does have some of the best soundtracks
