My first choice is Psychology(BS) because it related to human brains function. But my first initial thought months ago was related to environment and Biology cover this course. And I feel like this is a bit risky to take since I’m not that big science(or math person). Is it worth it atleast?
It is worth it, yes. But you have to be motivated throughout the course, if you are a person who is fascinated about nature and science and yess you should go for it

biology majors can go into many different things. A doctor, a vet, a dentist, a scientist, etc.

Medical biology po ito? And ano yung coverage in this course? Huhu planning to take either Bio or MedTech but preferably a course that deals more with research instead of math.
Yes, I’m taking med bio in ust! Biology leans toward research so it’s the best choice if you prefer research work. But just a side note, biology still have a lot of math topics esp in chem subjects. If you are curious with the curriculum, you can check the website of ust college of science :))

Im thinking about majoring in biology when I go to college. Is it worth it and do you like the major? Like on a scale 1-10 how hard is it?😅
Hmmm is it worth? I think yes if you’re going to pursue med especially research. But personally, I have lost my interest in my course when the pandemic started maybe bc of burnout. Initially I was happy but I got tired so I’m basically just here to get my degree lol! I think the difficulty is 9/10 due to the lengthy coverage and moving/practical exams hahahaha cos in my uni they sometimes utilize identification test questions ranging from 50-80 items and our profs rarely give high remarks + you have to be good in reading and memorizing 😅
Don’t rely on my personal scale tho cos it is very subjective hahahaha plus it really depends on the uni, profs, and how they give test questions (or maybe im just dumb) 🤣

My cousin is a nurse, whereas I really want to be a nurse too since it seems like a pretty career path. But the schooling to become one is rough...😅
I am a bio student. I started out wanting to be a vet, but now I might just go into research. Anyways, I think it depends on your area of study. If you are focusing on the genetics/chemistry/informatics side of it, it is very math heavy and can be a little overwhelming. If you are focusing on the medical/research/human side of bio, it is a lot of work intensive and requires a lot of memorization. If you are focusing on the animal/environmental/ecology side of it, it is not as academically challenging but you might have to get your hands dirty. I hope this helps!
Hi! A BS bio student heree~ incoming 2nd yr student and i think it's worth it if u want to proceed med (although one of my profs in UP said that bio isnt a premed course) cause i think the training that we get like reading intensive readings and looonng lab works, not to mention the hard exams 🥹 but i think if u r interested in learninf botany, zoology, molecular biology and biotechnology, and the like, then ur good to go cause these are some of the subjects i took and will be taking 😊 all the best!!
