Your hands do what you tell them to do, so put your brain gear before using your hands.
This short safety training video outlines four basic hand safety principles. Share it with your co-workers, family and friends.
Healthy hands make a big difference in the quality of your life. Slow down and check out the hazards of each task. Even if you do the same job over and over, stay focused and follow these four basic principles.
Your hands can get cuts, burns, abrasions, bruises and other injuries. Wear proper gloves for each job. Sharp-edged materials can cause cuts. Some materials can cause scrapes and torn skin. Hot surfaces can cause burns. Splinters come from working with metal and wood.
Get the right glove for the job and inspect your gloves before each use. Gloves that are falling apart or that have tears, rips or other damage do not give good protection.
Never alter or remove machine guards. Make sure machines are properly locked out before removing a guard for maintenance or repair.
Be aware of common everyday hazards during normal everyday use. Remember to use your brain before using your hands!

Please specify which brain it is you’re asking me to use. I prefer to think with my second, slightly more wrinkly brain.
