I had major surgery on May 2, 2023. All I remember was getting on the table, I remember the anesthesiologist asking me questions. Next thing I know I’m in recovery..
Does it feel like a second ?you close your eyes then boom you wake up??

@@cristianrusu8521 no you don't dream, you really can't remember it. Every time I woke up, I was fully conscious instantly. I was tired and kept falling asleep, but I was fully conscious. And no, you don't breathe on your own.
My surgery was for 4 hours, it didn’t feel like it. It felt like 10 minutes

I think there should no jerk on neck at this level ...anesthetist should keep little head ring so no use of second hand to immobilize head

All of those noises everything going on is a traumatic experience
that's why in different countries you are put to sleep before being wheeled in the operating room.

I just had surgery yesterday all I remember is telling them thank you in advance before going to sleep and they put the mask after that I wake up I’m in the recovery room already.i really wanted to see what they did to me and now my throat is sore but it’s okay I’m alive
Same last thing I remember was having an oxygen mask and being in a cold room. I woke up with a sore throat too and surgery was ok.

Maybe I missed something, but it bothered me that nobody was talking to her when they were getting her into position before the propofol was injected.
Its coz they already talked her fam eveything. But they didnt want patient panic.
@@ardradominic3027 In my experience, the staff should be talking to you the whole time, if only to reassure you that they were doing what they told you about before hand. That silence was unnecessary cruel.
I was talked to the entire time until I went to sleep. I remember the whole team introducing themselves and the anesthesiologist talking me through the whole process before and as it was happening, until I fell asleep.
It calmed me down totally.

I'm 17 years old and i had a C section surgery 2 months ago for a major fibroid removal.. the thing i remember is me thinking I'd close my eyes just for a sec and then wake up when I was being given anesthesia, next thing I remember is waking up in the recovery

Is tonsils removal not harmful for health? I was told to removed mind too but I was scared and also their is a myth that someone has died of tonsil surgery due to bleeding after a span 1 year of tonsil removal. Please suggest,mine I don't have any pain but both the sides are bulging a lot ,it's a big one .

Not harmful but tonsils have impactful role in our immunity,
So if someone have no major issue due to tonsils,
So removing tonsels is not recomended....

26 July 2023 my surgery date my second birth I never forget that day how I feel but now I am totally fine but thouse day i struggle a lot I fight a lot but at the end I win the battle
I NEVER remember anything past walking up to the OR table to get on. I guess the anesthesia wipes it out before it gets put in my long term memory or something.
@Prospection Numeric The amnesia is still prevalent at that point although, you should be able to breathe on your own.

I had a similar experience when I had left side cardiac ablation. I was on the table and the staff had introduced themselves to me and we were visiting, waiting for the electrophysiology people. I didn’t have any medications that I had noticed being administered. And I was paying attention, because I am fascinated by this stuff. In mid conversation, I woke up in recovery. For that procedure, they do the works. Intubation, urinary catheter, and anything else they can think of. In recovery all those things were gone. The only noticeable things remaining were the sheaths running from my groin up into my chest. But the point here is that something happened to my ability to store new memories of that conversation.

There are other ways to check and see if the patient is totally unconscious. Just cuz someone is out doesn't mean to be rough on them or treat them like a rag doll. I see this is in another country and they're too serious and not compassionate. It's different in the US, they talk to you and make you feel important and cared for.
