Lovely!🎵
Wonderful!
Written for the wedding of HRH Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer. A beautiful piece of music...makes me tingle all over!!!
*HRH The Prince of Wales if we're being formal. Personally commissioned by the Prince himself.
Hallelujah Amen.
Trinity Choir, Princeton, sang the American premiere of this, composed for the wedding of Diana and Charles. Our director, Jim Litton, received a copy before it was published, and before it was performed--for the very first time--at the Royal Wedding. We rehearsed it and sang it shortly afterward for Evensong. Exciting times! (and what a tragic end!)
Very fine performance by the Chorale of a brilliant anthem.
I had the privilege of being taught by William Mathias for two years as part of my my B. Mus degree.
Difficult to sing!
Beautiful!!! Tingling from head to toe...
A wonderful presentation of letting the people praise Thee Lord.
0:28 = end of 1st soprano/tenor phrase, top of page 3
0:46 = "be glad," page5
1:21 = last 2 measures pg5
1:55 = just before "and God," bottom system pg7
3:13 = top of pg10
4:06 = bottom system pg11
4:35 = just before "glory be to the Father . . ."
It’s the sort of anthem that might work well in a biblical epic movie. Especially from @04:27 onwards😊.
Nice!
