Hi, we have similar stories. I joined the Army National Guard at 25. I now have 20 years of active duty and is going through the med board process for medical retirement now. Also new to basket making.
Hi Driven, catching your replay, and yes indeed about daylight saving times just on Friday I was wondering why the little boys were out when it was almost dark they were making so much noise playing football in the middle of the street, and I looked at the clock and it was only around 7:30pm 🫨. Daylight savings time comes a lot sooner now I remember when it was around the end of Oct it's hard these days with the time changing now, because our world id different, and demanding, and todays kids are different, because technology is the way. I was in the USAR from 1984-1991 yes girl the 1900's 😂😂and the Reserves are much different than Full time as you know. I went Reserves, because I thought I would see what it was like being in the Army first, but found out there's a huge difference I had so much fun in bootcamp believe it, or not. 😅 I was discharge in 1994 with a honorable discharge after completing my 8 year term i didn't reenlist I was quit bored, because we never did anything much, but go to the Poconos most of the time. I was in the IRR (Individual Ready Reserves) also for a couple of years I think that's what you were referring to in the video. What branch are you in again? It does take 24 hours for the comments to show up with the Lives. Lastly, I thought I was a subscriber to your channel all this time I just notice I wasn't. I just went to my other channel, and think I subscribed under that channel, so I just subscribed under this channel also. Enjoyed your check in, and talk. Stay safe, and blessed! 🤗❤
🩵🩵I didn’t know you were a veteran too! Thanks for your service! I am in the Air Force, Air National Guard. Similar to the Reserves as your commitment requires 1 weekend a month plus 3wks annually, unless you are activated, volunteer for deployments or humanitarian missions, or elect to serve on a special duty assignment that you qualify/interview for. Army and Air National Guard work together. I am currently serving in an active duty capacity. I can definitely relate to how you were feeling, but I bet things got interesting just before you left, since that was right around Desert Storm I think 🤔 Thanks for subbing with this channel!!🩵🩵

@@drivenfortitude I am actually from Cali, born and raised. I am no longer active duty. I was stationed at Fort Campbell, Ky. I live in TN now.
