Awesome! Thanks for watching. No, it's a land plane/leveler. And, yes it's the simplest tool but makes the biggest difference when spreading rock or topsoil.
He was a rookie back in the day when he was young and he worked his way up to become a professional worker my question for the day is what if they don't want gravel what if they wanted a blacktop driveway what do you do then simple question my friend professional worker and I hope you drink plenty of floods and I like your ideal of your little camera on a dolly that's pretty cool keep up the good work professional worker
Nice videos. That Vermeer looks like a quality machine. What service issues or parts usually break on that machine? What is your history with Vermeer or other mini machines?
I started with Toro Dingo. For the Vermeer, Oil changes are slightly difficult but not impossible. It's a lot of engine packed in a small area so not great getting hands/tools thru to some areas of engine compartment. Belt changes are same way but after 900 hours have only changed fan belt once. I've replaced tracks a few times and they are fairly easy. I changed main drive sprocket after 750 hours. All hoses, pumps have lasted fine. My machines had radiator leaks that Vermeer replaced for free under extended warranty so hopefully they survive a good while. Vermeer is a great brand. They are expensive at my dealer to fix and parts seem to be expensive to replace. But I'm guessing that's the same with any brand. I do as much as I can on my own though.
No. Not really. I am loosening up the top few inches of stone and only adding a thin layer. I drive over it multiple times with machine to pack it down. Which it does tighten everything up pretty decent. But once cars drive over it packs it even more.
Hi i'm really ready to gt one S 925 tx for tree services for picking up brush and Make pails so i was wondering if you can give me idea what one i go with gas or diesel ? keep up the good work i really like all your video thanks
i dont get why people use #8 stone for a driveway. it will constantly roll around and make ruts at the street where cars turn in. all that stuff is meant for is bedding/back filling pipe in a trench, or hydrant weap holes. i guess people like the clean look without the lime dust.
Rewatched again! And Still on my favs since I haven't seen alot of new content yet,!
Love how the power rake is eating thru the overgrown ground. Makes a difference!

Have you ever compared a job with the mini ss to one done with a full sized ss?
I have not. I only own/run the mini skid
@@SchottServices I’m just curious to see how efficient a mini is compared to a regular
Great job. Why no compactor at the end of the job?
I've never used a compactor on any driveways. I'll sometimes run my machine back and forth over it through which weighs 4000 lbs
Would it not be a good idea to compact it?
No. Not really. I am loosening up the top few inches of stone and only adding a thin layer. I drive over it multiple times with machine to pack it down. Which it does tighten everything up pretty decent. But once cars drive over it packs it even more.
Was that some sort of landscape rake just prior to putting down the new rock?
The power rake or leveler?
@@SchottServices Thanks. It does a great job of smoothing out the rock.

My machine is gas. But I am sure diesel would have more torque but gas does everything I need it to do. Thanks for watching!
Is that a harley rack?
Yes
@SchottServices that is awesome 👌
Is your Vermeer the 36" wide or 42" wide version?
42"
How long is your dump trailer?
16 foot

I prefer 73's, which are 8's with the dust. Packs much better and helps to smother out the weeds.
Yes. They like the clean look and less mud in the freeze/thaws
John, that is a great transformation!
Looks like you got a different Harley Rake. Is it new to you or an extra one?
Thanks for filming your work.
Same. Thanks for watching!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
