For anyone wanting to learn Memento, this replay is a perfect example of why you need to ingrain it in your head that the fusion spell is a quick play, because not chaning Fusion to Fuwa (at 4:49) lost them the game. If Fusion had been chained Twin-headed and Witch would have activated on the same new chain, meaning the opponent would need Ash *and* Imperm or Veiler (or 2 Veiler) to stop the two from searching, and the Memento player would still have plays even if the opponent did. It would have still given the opponent a draw, yes, but it would also have gotten Tatsu and Tri-horn, as well any other Memento of their choosing *while* reviving Mace or Goblin. By not chaining Fusion, only to later activate it to summon King, the Memento player dug their own grave
chaining fusion was 100% not correct, the only big mistake I see in this match is not interrupting before deto
@avins6145 How was it not correct? Even if both searches were stopped, they still had plays that didn't give draws, and the only reason that Detonator was made is because they played into Fuwa and later Meowls
@@Druid-T chaining fusion completely loses to nib, because then you have to go for 3k using shleepy from field.
The end board was still 10000% winning, it just was poor interruption during opponent turn.
You pretty much always make fusion first if you start with quick spell, thinking you shouldve gone for twin dragon just shows poor understanding of the deck.

@@avins6145 1. Chaining Fusion *doesn't* lose to Nib, and doesn't set up any more vulnerable than endboard than what they did. Twin would have only been summon 3, meaning the search couldn't have been interrupted by Nib, and because of the twin search, they would have had monsters in hand for fusion->pop token->Bone Party for Creation. And any potential end board would have been just as vulnerable to Nib as the one they made, but with the potential for summoning Creation again, thanks to he extra bodies.
2. King is not the only end board set-up. Tri-horn with set Bone Party is strong enough against Ryzeal. King is amazing, but under Fuwa, Goblin, Tatsu and Shleepy have enough send power to get by.
3.If I have a poor understanding of the deck, then you are incapable of doing any combo not taught to you by someone else.

is the continuous trap even worth with ext in the format? i feel like if you're gonna play a trap u play fracture
A lot of people cut it, not because of ext but because the end board is usually good enough without it. Still it gets solid value into ryzeal, they have to hold ext for it to flip up and you get at least one negate out of it that way. If they do have ext you at least have 2 monsters to wipe in that situation.

Db grinder gaslighting people since memento made waves that its ass by using the worst replays which feels like 100% on purpose now.
its not that memento "isnt good," by any stretch. The player made weird side deck choices (slayer), and that the best decks of the format are way better. Even then, the deck is better than most other tier 2 or rogue decks. Just has a worse matchup against the meta and the charmies rn.
Absolutely. The pilot was also lacking experience with the matchups because not knowing you can turn 2 ryzeals into a detonator is weird ngl xD.

It´s not like memento is as bad as it seemed the last view games, but brokenhear prankster as an at least unorthodox way of playing the deck. 1st He plays the goblin biker engine, which almost none of the topping lists played. The deck is normally really normal summon heavy (1 mace, 3 dark blade, 3 witch, 2 goblin), introducing dugg to that is at least one more normal and adding army more so. In addition to that cranium burst is in my opinion right know the worse trap and brokenheart prankster played weird, not necessarily completley wrong just weird. He could have for example send more names in Game 1 to summon out combined creation.
Furthermore he was kinda unlucky in both games (seeing 3 normals, 1 brick and a publicate in game 1 and getting double fuwaed in game 2). I think memento is getting worse with the new mulcharmy. The others memento could play around with ~2 draws.

I don't think they're the worst (Game 1 was an unfortunate example of this format, and Game 2 was double charmy+Ash), but Ultimate Slayer really should not have been there, and not chaining Fusion for Twin was an absolute mistake
@@Druid-TAlso, not summoning shleepy inmediately after searching it to go for twin and search maze+goblin during game 2 was a pretty huge mistake aswell.
@@truekingofallgeneraiders Yeah, that too. They already played into any Triple Tactics cards with the search anyways, so there was no reason not to, even if whatever Mace stole wasn't game winning

Yes the deck not top 5 but the guy still.high rated, nobody tryin to see ryzeal fiendsmith mirrors all day.. just ask this guy for better replays. Dont have to cut it out completely
He knew he runs no handtraps. That’s why no dweller pass but true. Always assume FS cards. I’m prob gonna main meowls with fuwa for Orlando. Card too good in testing rn. Everything specials from gy at lest 1x and maliss…..we know that. And fiendsmith will give you at least 2. So idk why I wouldn’t run it. But I think he been getting cooked cus his ass runs no handtraps. Board breakers ain’t it. If it was then EVERYONE would be on it.
