Sadly, this route has been discontinued ever since March 2019. And from some articles, the Caracas route from American Airlines will only return if conditions improve, but otherwise, that route may be permanently discontinued.
Wow, my first fly ever was from SJU to Caracas in the 70s! (I was a kid😁). It was with VIASA. Were those white and orange planes, VIASA? Great memories.
Truly sad, I flew from CCS a lot growing up, The airport used to be full of Md-80s, 747s, 737's, 757s, 767s, and a330s, but now it's just... empty... maybe the occasional 737 or a md-80.
I heard that airlines aren’t flying to Caracas or anywhere in Venezuela because it’s impossible to do business and people can’t afford it and the images coming out of Venezuela daily are horrifying people forget this country it’s only 2-3 hour flight from Miami
Caracas en la actualidad es una ciudad muy bella y los invito a que vengan a Venezuela y vean por ustedes mismos que no todo es como lo ven y escuchan por las noticias!
Angele Rodsan American carriers don’t offer food service since 2013-2014 to Caracas flights and as of June 2020, there are no longer flights to the US or any American carrier servicing CCS. We were only handed coffee, non-alcoholic complimentary drinks and pretzels/biscoff cookies.
