I was out at Glen Helen for this race. I remember calling my mate back in Morecambe from the call box in the pub car park, (no mobiles then!) and sticking the phone out the door so he could hear the 'bikes!
Hello Hughie, watched it again and spotted more familiar faces, my number is 104 - Ducati 450, standing next to me is Bill from Northern Ireland, he and Peter volunteered to pit for me, bless them, after someone I'd asked and for whom I'd pitted for previously found they were unable to help me as they had a 'subsequent engagement'. Thks for a great vid.(and not just because I'm in it!).
Thirty one years ago now, but the atmosphere is electric still.
I first rode in 63.
Thanks for sharing brought back so many memories, know most of the riders including my husband.
+Valerie Cutts You're welcome. Feel free to share. :)

Bob Price or Dicer to his friends Number 53!! great shots thank you
and not a bloody Paton in sight! how dire has classic racing become over the last 30 years?
thanks for posting.Sadly I expect some of both the bikes and riders have now moved on.How did they ever race in such flimsy leathers.
Tempo bom
They sound like a bunch of Lion's, wanting to be let loose. I suppose in many respects they were, and still are!
