I have both the IC 705 and x6100. I use both for different reasons. I use the IC 705 with WinLink however I would like to know what your set up was to get the X6100 going. Thanks for the video. 73 Scott.
Thanks for creating the video. I am interested in doing digital on the x6100 (should arrive in the next few days). Will probably start with psk31 and rtty. Maybe you can do a video on working with digital and the x6100 ? Interested in learning more about your setup.
I believe the reason you see the low rf output power is because you are on the digital output mode. The difference between LSB dig and LSB is where the audio comes from (the usb sound card or the mic)
This video reminds me of home. I don't know where you're at, but you could be in Michigan and I wouldn't know the difference. I'm in Florida and it's just not the same. I have the x6100 and that case. I think it's the same case as I have. The Eyelor or some weird name like that, but it works great and it's half the price of the Pelican case.
I’ll have to double check that. I did some work today and noticed it’s only on the internal mic that it shows 0W, with the hand mic it functions normally. I played with all the mic settings (internal, external, auto) same result. But I haven’t checked the line in/out. Good idea.
Awesome. I really like the X6100, even with its early firmware quirks. Great to see another one in the field! Question: Does it get hot when running Winlink for a while??
Hi, thanks for watching. Sometimes when sending a long message it’ll get pretty warm, nothing concerning though. Most digital modes have a heavy duty cycle, so it’s expected to some leval.
@@bravowhiskyalpha1581 Looking forward to that video! I have a X6100 and have been looking at portable winlink builds for keeping in touch with friends and family while in the field.

Hi Scott, thanks for watching. I’ll do a future video soon on how to configure the X6100 with Winlink.

Just purchased a 6100. What size pelican case are you using? Thanks
Excellent video. More xiegu x6100 build outs video's please. Especially xiegu easy digital modes like Hellschreiber fuzzy mode would be nice.
WOW cant believe you got rid of the icom 705. I understand not having the tuner sucks. I agree. But still so nice of a setup.
Thanks for watching. I definitely miss the IC705, but I am very impressed with X6100. Keep watching for more videos soon.
The 0W out on voice is propably because the audio in is set to line in when doing digital modes and not been set back to MIC input :)

Would really appreciate it if you’d do a setup video for winlink!!

Is that a homebrew antenna?
Oh you answered my question in the video.
No, it’s an End Fed 1/2 wave from GigaParts.com. About $60 shipped.
