I had sinus issues while growing up in PA, mainly hay fever. This continued even after moving to the SW until one day I went swimming and tried to dive to the bottom of the pool. As I got deeper I felt pressure and pain in my sinuses and returned to the surface. Not wanting to give up I tried again, each time able to go a little deeper. The repeated pressure changes broke up the congestion in my sinuses. When I blew my nose it was the thickest, stickiest green mucus I'd ever seen. After clearing my sinuses of this I no longer had sinus issues, that was over 40 years ago, not one problem since. I don't know if this would work for everyone but it's worth a shot.

I’ve had sinus pain/pressure accompanied with nasal congestion for 16 years now. My life has been derailed and the discomfort has become progressively worse in recent years. There is no mucous, it is strictly an issue of swollen turbinates. Been to several doctors here in Central NY as well as had surgery - have found no resolve and the pain persists. Ive ironically developed gut issues about the same time the sinus issues started. There must be a connection here. I’m hopeful for this, as it is so outside of the box of all the ENT’s treatments I’ve received. Thank you, Doc! Fingers crossed.

Targeting the sinus area with neti washes and topical stuff helps, but the key is never use oils, so I stopped using the oregano oil and moved to the tincture that is not diluted in olive oil. Also found a few more diet solutions inspired by Dr. Berg and some other sources. The main thing is stop eating any grains with yeast like bread and eat more meat. So I fry or bake buckwheat, corn meal, quinoa etc for complex carbs. Also eating more lean meats, the best is bison. I pair those meats with sauerkraut and use both iodized and sea salt when I cook.

I'd try to figure out if it's hard or soft. Painful or not.
Could be the lump is cartlege or soft tissue,a cyst, dried mucus or a scab from a bloody nose.
Swollen inflamed tissue can improve with Benadryl or spray steroids.
If hot showers don't help along with hydration then it's probably not mucus.
If you can touch it I've had results with camphophenol or betadyne if it's hot and infected.
I had a flap once that felt like I could blow it out. By the time I realized it was skin it was all pissed off and bleeding.
It would close off, flutter and whistle.
Once I realized it was skin I left it alone and it got better. Might have been on benadryl for allergies and that seems to help.
The nasal steroid was prescribed and supposed to be just for shrinking swollen tissue. It might have helped but it made me feel speedy. Doc said that's not a known side effect but it seemed linked to me.
      Surfing helped.
If it's big enough to block the other side you gotta see a doctor. Sooner the better.
      Good luck.

Geo Casillas The Lanto Sinus really worked for me. I was so desperate that I put the kimchi juice up my nose. I also invested in a Navage unit. It’s like an electric Neto pot. Takes some getting used to, but really cleans out the sinuses. Good luck!

Would this help if my nasal cavities are inflamed all the time? I have no other issues. But I can't breathe at night when I lay down. No sinus issues, nothing. I have a deviated septum but if my nostrils weren't inflamed that really would be a huge issue.
