  • Sweet and Sour Soup or Samlor Machu Yun is a famous soup for every occasion at home or at a restaurant. It is usually served with a long braised catfish as part of a dinner menu. The dish consists of fish, tomatoes, pineapple, and tamarind. It is garnished with Khmer herb called rice paddy . The sour taste of the soup comes from fresh tamarind, usually diluted with water, then added to the soup.
    ▶ Ingredients :
    ● 400 g Fish (Snakehead murrel)
    ● 3 Tomatoes
    ● 1 Green Bell Pepper
    ● 1/2 Pineapple
    ● 1 Red Chili Pepper
    ● 1 Galangal
    ● 100g Sweet Basil, Culantro & Rice paddy herb
    ● 50g Tamarind (ripe)
    ● 4 Spring Onion
    ● 5 Cloves Garlic
    ● 2tsp Sugar
    ● 1tsp Salt
    ● 1tbsp Fish Sauce
    ● 1 Chicken Cube (Knorr)
    ● 1500ml water
