I try but some would say I'm obsessional so it depends on your point of view 😂 it was hard to analyse this in a meaningful way because I sometimes wear 4 fragrances over the space of day with testing and bedtime so I struggled.
Glad you’re feeling better and congrats on 3k! I appreciate how unique your content is and how much time you clearly put into bringing us researched content! Happy 2023 ❤
Loved. This vid, thank you 😘Randomly tried Poudree yesterday in John Lewis not knowing you would mention it in your vid! Validates everything I instantly felt too, a warm hug indeed 🤗 A must buy for the collection and praying it won't be discontinued 🥺🙏 xx
Fab that you discovered it too! Yes it's a lovely fragrance. It could all just be a rumour that the EDP of the line is discontinued, it does seem weird that they would discontinue the pillar fragrance. I've heard rouge is also discontinued, that seems more believable. I've really no idea, I hope not! Thanks for watching ❤️
Congratulations on reaching 3K! I’ve never tracked what I wore but since we aren’t too far into the new year I think I will write them down. I did finally count my fragrances and I’m just over 100 without counting travel sizes so I think it will be manageable.
Thank you so much! Ooh I think I'm at 114 ish right now, I would love to get back to 100. It feels unmanageable sometimes for me and I have only a small storage space. I feel a declutter coming based on what I've not been reaching for. I have found tracking my usage really insightful. I know it sounds weird and cumulatively like work, but actually I've learnt what I reach for and what I don't. I've noticed that I tend to get hooked on my new fragrances and wear those, which is understandable. I also sometimes go back to something and get into it, but most of the time, it's a different one each day and lots of sampling. The ones I tend to finish are ones I wear to bed. Thanks for watching and for all of your support in 2022, I really appreciate it! ❤️
Claire! Congratulations on 3k 😊❤ you are one of my favorites! You are so organized! I admire that so much, nothing about me is organized 😭 you are so easy to watch, I love the Chopard bottle!
Hey Sunny ☺️ thank you! Honestly that chopard bottle lid, it doubles as a lethal weapon, I've never owned a fragrance where the lid is heavy solid glass. It's definitely not one to drop on tiled floors. 😂
I'm glad you're feeling better Claire. Lovely to have you back! I completely agree with everything you said about NR Poudree. I got a sample and wasn't sure if I wanted to wear it on my skin so often sprayed it on my bed linen. Loved the warm cosy vibe at bedtime. I have now bought a full bottle - for me in addition to my bed linen 😁 I've had a bit of an obsession with Heliotrope too thanks to you! Again totally agree with your description. I like Guimauve; it's sweeter than I usually like but pretty so not a total blind buy fail. I feel I need to get Dragee next just to complete the set! Those bottles are so pretty 😍 I've bought so many samples this year and been trying those much of the time, but Diptyque's Orpheon, Guerlain's Mon Guerlain and La Petite Robe Noire, PdM Delina, Versace Versense and Hermes Eau de Merveilles Bleue are fragrances I wore frequently. I have a sample of the L'Ombre des Merveilles- beautiful and quite unusual fragrance. I'm intrigued by Ricci Ricci and the Chopard fragrance. They sound lovely but I'm going to try to resist blind buying them - at least for now! Happy new year 💖💖💖
Hi Fiona, Thank you! Wow, sounds like you had a successful year! 🙈 I always get super worried when people buy stuff I like 😂 Yes I think I felt the completion mentality too with Dragée, but I was really happy I bought it, I ended up wearing that one on Christmas day. I would recommend Chopard love but it's not easy for sure. I do struggle with dry fragrances generally and I've certainly read very split opinions on it. It's love or hate. The patchouli is a sticking point with some, it's strong. My initial reaction to it was truthfully not positive but I'm so glad I persisted! The Nina Ricci is more of a fun flirty easier one. The rhubarb is very prominent but the fragrance is sweet. I made a NY resolution to try to reduce my blind buying and also to post more regularly on Instagram so I can talk about all my samples. I sample loads of fragrances but rarely talk about them in videos because I don't know what format to put unconnected samples in 🤣 but I do think that is a big part of my enjoyment of perfume so I'm hoping Instagram is a good home for that! Thank you for your support! I appreciate it and happy new year! 🥰
3K well deserved Claire! 🎉😊 Vanilla 28 is my most worn fragrance. I kept layering it with everything! 😂 Especially with Coco Mademoiselle. NR Poudrée is one I can’t make my mind on. It’s 50/50, I like it and sometimes I don’t. 🤷🏻♀️
Thank you Julie! Wow, I've been trying some layering with vanilla 28, but I think I always get it wrong. I need some training I think 😂 Coco mademoiselle intense is gorgeous 👌 and I totally get poudrée not being for everyone. It's got a bit of a vintage feel. Thanks for your support and for watching ❤️
Congratulations on the success of your channel, Claire. You are an absolute favourite of mine. I love your videos!! I wrote down every fragrance I wore as well, but kind of split it by seasons. Although I have hardly any instances where I wore perfumes several times. Thoroughly enjoyed this!! Thank you! Happy New Year!! You’re the best! ✌🏻🕺🏼♥️
Aww thank you Richard! That is so so kind of you! Yes it's really hard to get round a large collection but I admit I do have favourites even though I try to spread my love 🤣 I tend to want to wear what I've just bought too 🤦♀️ I'm quite fickle really. I also wear a lot of samples and I wear perfume to bed too so I can pack more sniffs in 😂 thank you so much for your support throughout 2022. It means a lot! 🥰 Happy new year!
Cerruti 1881 just arrived at my house today. I heard you talk about it and I was really intrigued. I haven't worn it yet, but loved the smell in the air when I sprayed it. Thanks so much for your interesting content!
Oh fab! I really hope you like it! It's such a good cheapie. But yes, it has a slight vintage vibe to it. Thank you so much for your support and for watching 😊
Ah just settled down with coffee and lunch and I get a notification about this video 🙂perfect timing! Love your descriptions in this video, very evocative. I adore Dolce Garden, as I've got more into niche scents it's one designer that I still adore, I wear it on summer evenings as I love the solar creamy vibe and like you say it performs really well and smelling it in the air. I've never smelt Cerruti but the bottle is iconic - for me it's the epitome of discount designer old school fragrances and I actually can't believe I've never sniffed it - I'll have to next time I'm in Boots just to see what it's like!
Yes, Cerruti is one you just dismiss isn't it? I never tried until early this year and that was it, I was hooked 🤣 Dolce Garden is a lovely fragrance. I can why you'd still love it. I think with sampling my tastes are changing also, even over the span of this year I've felt them change. I feel like I need to think about how much I spend this year cos I've tried so many that I've really enjoyed through sampling and it could get expensive. Thanks for watching ❤️
Congratulations on 3k! Fantastic achievement Claire and I'm sure your channel will grow even more in 2023 - you certainly deserve even more subscribers 💖💖💖
In this fragrance community I like your opions because you sound natural sometimes some are so pushing fragrances and declutter them later and this ok as well I like this as well Greetings from turkey 🌹
Thank you ❤️ I know it's a big issue on UA-cam because sadly those kinds of haul-declutter videos are the ones that get the most views. I really try not to push stuff in general, I know it's easy to fall down the rabbit hole with fragrance and overspend anyway. I also don't do affiliate marketing, so my opinions are simply my opinions, because I'm not aiming to sell stuff and I also really think before I declutter because I don't get PR. Everything I have, I've bought (apart from gifts from friends). Thanks so much for watching 😊 happy new year 🎉 greetings back from the UK!
Dolce Garden - your experience probably justifies my feeling that this is not a hot weather perfume. The notes may look like it, but I cannot seem to wear that here in tropical weather easily. Alien Eau Extraordinaire- ooohhh I love this perfume, I’m scared to ran out so I stop myself from spraying - I might not be able to get a bottle anymore as this has been discontinued??? L’ombre de Merveilles - I agree! This is a moody fragrance! 😂 Definitely trying out FOUND AT DUSK & Ylang Espresso when I get the chance Looking forward to your most-worn 2023 already! ❤❤❤
Thank you! Yes I think Dolce Garden is too creamy for hot weather. It would be very sickly with all the vanilla. Yes Alien Eau Extraordinaire is discontinued and really hard to find in the UK now. I'm happy I could finish it and enjoy it, but I'm sad that the Thierry Mugler brand is no more. Thanks for watching and for your support. 🥰
Thank you! I think it makes it more diverse because you get fragrances representative of what you reach for in each season ☺️ Thank you for watching ❤️
Interesting! I loved hearing when in the year you wore these scents! Having only begun cultivating my perfume collection in 2022 & having it grow from 3 to 50 in that timeframe, I’m only now really able to ‘categorize’ them to suit my lifestyle specifically - as it takes some time getting to know them, right? Anyway, the categories I’ve named (thus far) seem to really help me see more clearly what season & which activity I like to use them in. Categories so far: -Benched …TBD -Brunchy-daytime-office (summer) -Brunchy-daytime-office (winter) -City Shopping Trip -Contemplative/Meditative -Gardening/Walk in the Woods -Gym -In a Mood -Tuck me in Category names will be groomed as I go; but sorting them this way really helps!
Most worn were prob: Angel EDT Angel Aura EDT Angel Extraordinare Angel Muse EDP Angel Nova EDT Jimmy Choo Irish Crush Lolita Lempicka Elle L'Aime à la Folie Lush Lord of Misrule
You category names are fab 👌 I think categorising fragrances help to show you what you have a lot of and what you don't. I remember categorising mine early on and realising that I was wearing casual ones but I was buying dressy ones. It made no sense. But only categorising them helped me to realise that.
Ooh some classics here! I only just tried angel EDT, I liked it! I really like Nova and Elle l'aime à la folie too. I will try lord of misrule of I see it in lush when I next go in 😊
Congratulations on 3k subs claire 🙂🎉 I agree with you on d&g garden think it also fits during winter. Next on my wishlist reminiscence heliotrope 💚 I finally got my hands on insolence and oh my i fell inlove with it ❤️ My most worn fragrances in 2022 Cloud, pink sugar, EA green tea, kenzo eau de lumiere, guess marciano, zara gardenia, 4711 peony and sandal wood. Though it doesnt look like i wear them a lot but i put a pretty good dent on them 🙂
Thank you! ❤️ I wore insolence yesterday! That one is just beautiful! I am wearing ultraviolet today, I'm in a violet mood 🙂 I need to try some more EA fragrances and I would love to try that 4711! 🥰
I was wearing Chopard - Love at Christmas and my boyfriend said that I'm smelling like a Christmas cinnamon candle 😀 My all time favourite perfume is Cerruti - 1881 🥰
Yes! That slight warm spice and gorgeous enveloping rose is absolutely stunning for Christmas, what a fab choice and compliment! Cerruti 1881 is so good, I don't know what took me so long! 🤷♀️ Thanks for watching and letting me know you love those two fragrances ❤️ I appreciate it!
Claire, whenever you don t see the dent of a perfume because of the type of the bottle, just put the bottle in one hand and look at it and with the other hand open the light of the mobile phone and put it BEHIND the bottle. You will see the dent! you can do thet not only with perfumes, but also with creams recipients
i think that Narciso poudrée is discontinued, found it discounted to half the price at sephora a couple months ago, and other frags, the sales assistant said the ones that r -50% r headed to discontinuation... that nina ricci at the beginning used to be a hit a few years ago, kinda weird seeing it go, i must smell that bubblegummy moschino asap!! ..good to know about the other frags! but wow u emptied quite a number of frags last year!!.. lovely vid! and like how ur sweater matches the color of ur eyes, the nail polish also looked so Tom Ford lost cherry-ish lol, i dig it!...
Hello! Oh thank you for the info, it's strange because Narciso just released the Cristal flanker, so I don't understand why they would discontinue the EDP pillar as others are saying and do that?! I do think poudrée will disappear this year, it's been out of stock in quite a few places here. I really like Ricci Ricci, sad that all the lovely ones seem to get discontinued. Thank you! I really want to try the new Tom Ford cherries but they aren't in stores here yet, did you find them to try where you are? Thank you for watching and supporting me throughout 2022, I appreciate it! ❤️
I'm definitely taking a leaf out of your book, you're always so prepared and thorough and organised and amazing and beautiful and super smart, I just have a lot of admiration and love for you! I also enjoy a lot of the fragrances you used up ❤❤
Thank you! Yes, I have no doubt I will never finish that many in a year ever again. Most of my bottles now are very full 😂 Thanks for watching and for your support throughout 2022! I appreciate it! 🥰
You are so organized Claire! I look up to you 😊 since I am the extreme opposite of organized 😅 I’m trying to be better about it. One of my 2023 resolutions
Oh no problem at all! I always timestamp and list all the fragrances because that's what I really want when I watch videos, I find it annoying when the info isn't there. 🤷♀️ I know it takes longer but I always do it because of that 🙂 thanks for watching 🥰
@@dr.claire.perfume Yes thank you. This helps me learn with depth into fragrances. It has become my hobby and I have a different appreciation for fragrances now.
Yes, I spent a long time watching UA-cam before I started a channel so I get it! I realised I didn't actually recognise a lot of the bottles that people were showing on their channels, so being able to check the description box was super helpful! 🥰
I'm so glad you're feeling better, Claire! I need a spreadsheet!!! This truly IS the most realistic "fragrances I wore most in the year" video. I just love your videos so much! I got to smell Ricci Ricci, and I totally thought of you when I did. I remember liking it, but i don't remember it striking me. I'm TERRIBLE with first impressions, though. I betcha I'd have loved it if I'd just pulled the trigger. It goes in and out of my grey market carts all the time. Those Reminiscence bottles are lovely. I don't like almond as a general rule, but the marshmallow one sounds lovely. I love when I "write off" a fragrance because I "hate" it, and then for poops and giggles i spray it after a while of ignoring it and the clouds part and the sun shines and there's a "Simpsons" moment where I realize that something I hated has become something I love. THAT, I think, is one of my favourite things about perfume - the fact that we can grow into a fragrance. :) Thanks for sharing these with us. I think that Agent Provocateur one sounds interesting! :) Take care, Claire! xo
Thanks, I feel like the whole world was ill this Christmas! Yes growing into fragrance is definitely a thing. I'm pretty sure my taste is evolving every time I sniff something new. And wow I sniffed Gris Dior the other day finally and 👌 we've found one we all love. 😊 Thanks for watching and for all of your support Julija ❤️ you are fab!
Wow look at all those hose empty perfume bottles 😍 what will you do with them? X mas decor, perfume snow globes 🤩 so satisfying to see them all empty! Yes cerruti 1881 is one i never heard of and complimented a young lady she told me it was cerruti 1881, so good!
I never know what to do with them 🤷♀️ I have been keeping them because I sometimes talk about fragrances that I've finished as good examples of particular scent profiles or bottle designs or formulation changes, but it really is getting ridiculous now, I have nearly 40 in total 🤦♀️ Cerruti is good for spring summer especially I think. Inexpensive fresh yet enveloping floral. Thanks for watching and for you support in 2022, I really appreciate it! ❤️
Yes I record the one I put on in the morning as my main scent, this is what this video is based on, then the others, like when I get home from work, what I'm testing or what I wear to bed, are recorded too, but it was so complicated to analyse it that I just stuck with the first column. But yeah, I also chop and change, especially if they are shorter lived. 🙂
Congratulations on 3k subscribers Claire!!! I remember your end of the year 2021 perfume list and I loved it! I am looking forward to seeing this end of year wrap up and your methodlogical approach to it.
Happy new year to you too ❤️ yes try it, it's fascinating. The first year I did it, the results shocked me because I realised that ones I thought I loved, I hardly wore. It made me more mindful of the kinds of fragrances that I mainly reach for. It's like when you have clothes you love but hardly ever wear. 🤷♀️
Congratulations on 3K 🎊 !! You deserve all the success, you are intelligent, dedicated, supportive to others, thank *YOU* for being who you are 🙏 Cerruti 1881 is an obsession to me too, it's a sumptuous rich atemporal floral, youthful, it's in my opinion a princess scent. L'Ombre de Merveilles so mysterious, I like it. You've worn very interesting fragrances you are eclectic, so interesting wow !! My most worn fragrances in 2022 were Guess Seductive Red and Chance Eau Fraîche💖
Thank you and thank you for your support also! I appreciate it. I really love Cerruti 1881. I've not tried the Guess Seductive line at all, but they seem loved and like excellent value. Chance Eau fraîche is a beautiful fragrance! Here's to smelling great in 2023! ❤️
Yesss that’s the exact compliment that I got wearing garden. 😍😍😍😍My cousin said you smell so delicious and pretty. They picked up the florals as well. Garden is bae no doubt! I have to get it back.
It's really crowdpleasing and easy to love. Just one of those that everyone else loves on you. Definitely a great one for a compliment because it gives you that aura.
I loved it, then wasn't fussed by it and then toward the end I felt like saving some and I thought, no this is ridiculous. I really enjoyed it, so sad to say goodbye to Thierry Mugler fragrances. 😥
Yayyyyy I love that you love Ricci Ricci! It’s really nice, my daughter loves it as well. Every time she walks across my fragrances she grabs that one and/ Angel muse. It’s definitely mature smelling but fun at the same time.
My most worn this year was rosendo 6. I haven’t worn any you mentioned but wrote a few on my list. Thanks for sharing this was a great video. Will catch up on your videos. Happy new year.
No worries Pat. I was without internet over Christmas so I've watched very little of late. I need to try those rosendo fragrances. They sounds really great, lots of people loving those right now. 🥰 Happy new year to you too 🎊
Oh yes! I enter those wishlist competitions and just cross my fingers. 🤣 Thank you for letting me know it's there. Another one that disappeared from their website is Tom Ford velvet orchid but I know it's still sold there cos it's in store 🤷♀️ no idea what the problem is! Thanks for watching ❤️
Thank you! That's so kind! Cafe cabanel is delicious 😋 I really want to try the rosendo fragrances this year! ☺️ Thank you for watching and happy new year! 🎉
Congrats on 3k! 🥳 I've used up all the decants of those Reminiscence you sent me, and I also like Héliotrope and Dragée then Guimauve. They are lovely scents! And Cadrene was a big love for me 💚
Thanks Em! Yes, I feel like Guimauve is the hardest to love. The opening is puzzling! I wore Cadrene on Boxing Day when I needed something calming 😊 thanks for your support over the last 7 months 🥰
Such a great idea to keep track of what fragrances you are wearing. I didn’t know that those Narciso fragrances are being discontinued 😳 Great video ❤️
Thank you! I know it's weird 😂 but I actually find tracking really interesting and useful. It's made me realise what I just won't miss if I want to declutter. Regarding Narciso, are they discontinued? I'm not sure I keep hearing people say it, like Charlotte Ross was saying she bought the EDP because that was going, but would they discontinue the pillar and not the flankers? I've no idea. I should email NR and ask! Thanks for watching ❤️
I 💟the choices I own a few . I have the toy 2 bubblegum and it’s so nice it does stay on me but I keep touching up because it’s so fun ! I need to find that Cerutti here in the USA .
Ooh yes! The Cerruti is a classic, I hope you find it to smell it 💕 Toy2 Bubblegum's opening is really addictive, I lose interest in the drydown 😂 thanks for watching ❤️
I really love your scientific approach to this list; I certainly wouldn’t be that organised to use a spreadsheet. I am so glad that Cadrene seems to have become a fragrance you enjoy ❤.
I know! It's extreme! But it helped cos I sometimes forgot to write them down and having it on my phone was really handy. Yes cadrene is really good, I wore it on Boxing day and the day after that too. Really lovely refreshing fragrance after Christmas excesses, thank you again! 🥰
You always have such a wonderful combination of fragrances! So many I haven’t heard of, too, which is so much fun! I still haven’t gotten my nose on any of the Narciso cubes. I definitely need to do that this year! Perhaps you can shine a flashlight through the painted glass to see how much is left…? 🔦 Congrats on 3k!!! You deserve it and then some 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you! Yes definitely try the Narcisos! I did attempt having a look with my phone light but I didn't see anything and the atomiser is sputtering so I assume it might be because it's nearly finished and that's maybe why I don't see a line? Not sure! 🥰
Hi Claire Happy New Year! Wow I remember your vid last year. Seems like yesterday. Time has flown. I hope you are feeling much better. I have saved up your vids to watch cos I love em so much now the festive madness is over.
Haha, thank you! I'm afraid there might not be much to watch. I've not posted much recently because of my heavy cold. I wasn't understandable 😂 Yes 2022 flew by! All the best for 2023 🥰
Oh how I wish that Dragee had worked for me! It’s got that synthetic wood they use in Lattafa and Zara that smells like tar to me, but I could sense the lovely sugared almonds underneath! I actually just got an oil dupe of love don’t be shy that reminds me of the dry down of guimuave so I’m super happy about that as the actual perfume wasn’t for me! I adore Cerutti 1881, makes me feel girly and soft. If you’ve never tried Cerutti image woman then that’s really magical too - a very light and fresh citrus with a warm black pepper and leather note….. really niche smelling but less than £20! Cool bottle too! It’s a different vibe, but there’s a UK based Etsy seller called Seventy Seven Scents who has a perfume called bubblegum girl. Its real bubblegum…. Reminds me of Melissa jelly shoes with the bubblegum scent! It doesn’t smell the same as Toy 2 Bubblegum because it’s only bubblegum, but you can get a sample set of your choice for super cheap and the seller is super friendly! I’ve got a little review of the samples I bought in case you’re interested :)
Oh thank you! I will look at seventy seven scents, the bubblegum has got me very interested ☺️ Sorry I've not been around much on UA-cam lately, so I've not seen the video. I only just caught up a bit. Christmas to new year I was staying at my mum's without WiFi, totally the dark ages there 😂 The Cerruti sounds good too! I know the Reminiscence line are a bit hit and miss for people. I've watched so many channels declutter them 🤣 i sent someone samples of all three and within about an hour of trying them, she bought dragée so I think it's just a taste thing really and what stands out for you. It's just unfortunate that you get the Lattafa wood. Thanks for watching ❤️
Found at Dusk and the Floral Street fragrance you mentioned sound so interesting. I would love to check those out. I have just discovered Cerruti 1881 by buying a tiny sample of it. It is top of my wishing list currently. It’s so me and a big love. I also bought a sample of Jessica McClintock, the original one; also top of my list. Recall it from the 90s. Love it, don’t care it’s considered old fashioned. Some other most worn for me was Voce Viva and I Want Choo.
Aah fab! I am so happy that you love the Cerruti! It's a bargain 😉 Floral street have some really nice ones, I like London poppy and chypre sublime and Iris Goddess too 🙂 I hope you are well and have had a lovely weekend 🥰
@@dr.claire.perfume thank you! I am well and had a good weekend. Have to look up these other Floral Street perfumes you mentioned. Hope you’re doing well also!
@@dr.claire.perfume thank you for letting me know! I will have to get those. I love sampler kits. I recommend that you try Tocca sampler kit and Atelier Cologne. 🥰
Dolce garden is so lovely and I can see it being lovely in the winter ! I actually love to reach for Terracotta in the winter when I have used so many winter perfumes I want a change I really love narciso poudre and often thought of purchasing a bottle
Oh terracotta might get bought this year 🤣 I need something to replace orchid soleil and I can't afford a new bottle at the £100s that it now goes for! Poudrée is great, really elegant and ladylike. Thanks for watching Frances ❤️
Terracotta? It was earlier this year when I was looking, it was about £45. The price varies with the season, in summer it is more expensive than in winter.
I devoted 2022 to exploring samples of new and niche perfumes. And it was also a year of dupes. I tried a few dupe houses such as Oakcha and Dossier but I really settled on Dua. They have a much wider range of high-end designer scents plus they recreate the formulas of discontinued or classic fragrances. So rather than the "most worn" fragrances, perhaps a better choice in my case would be those fragrances I actually bought after smelling the samples (and not including blind-buy dupes). They were: Amouage's Myths, Journey, Portrayal, Memoir and Overture (the last 3 are dupes) Frederic Malle (all dupes): Musc Ravageur, Carnal Flower, Lipstick Rose, French Lover, Dans Tes Bras (the last three are sold out) Histoires de Parfums: Moulin Rouge 1889, 1876 (Mata Hari) and 1926 (Turandot), one of their opera fragrances. (Roja Dove also had two opera fragrances: another Turandot and Lakhme.) Alghabra (a new Turkish house): Ancient Fortress and Labyrinth of Spices Tiziana Terenzi: Arethusa and Kirke (a dupe) Killian: Apple Brandy, Black Phantom, Love Don't Be Shy, Rolling in Love, Princess, Angel's Share, Noir Aphrodisiaque (all dupes from Dua and Oakcha). If I hadn't bought dupes, I probably would have spent thousands of dollars on these (plus the the blind-buys). As it is, I think I only spent hundreds.
Yes, dupes are great ways to get something you love for a bit less. And even to try the scent profile and test it out to see whether you really wear it and it is worth the investment for the real thing. I tried portrayal, that was love at first sniff, which dupe of that did you get? I have lots of Amouage samples to try, I might do a video 🤔 I was also planning one with a discussion of dupes in December, I'm still thinking! Gosh you tried a lot and found a lot of loves! It was clearly a successful year for you. Thank you for watching and for your support in 2022! 🥰
@@dr.claire.perfume My Amouage dupes are all from Dua. I too collected a lot of samples of Amouage to get an idea of which would appeal to me. I bought the samples on Mercari; they are generally cheaper than ebay, but not always. Here's hoping you get a chance to do something on dupes:)
Hi Claire! I love your videos, my favourite person on youtube! ❤️ Just wondering, I know you've talked about selling perfumes before but I was wondering where you do it? I downloaded Vinted but apparently you can only sell new perfumes so I'm not really sure where to advertise mine? Thanks so much for your help, hope you're well x
Hey Holly! Thank you so much! ❤️ Well as you are finding out, this is a grey area in the UK. Royal mail say you need to have the fragrance in the original packaging but don't specify what that means, Is that in the bottle it was sold in? With a lid? In a box? Sealed with cellophane? So even sending fragrance is problematic. Reselling sites treat fragrance like any other cosmetic (even though the rest of the fragrance doesn't touch your skin), so for hygiene reasons they say they have to be new. eBay used to have a used category, but removed it a year or so back. eBay do however have new other and don't seem to remove listings that say "used". I haven't used vinted to sell, but I know they don't charge fees, whereas eBay do, so that is a good reason to use them. I would say whoever you use, get proof of posting in case the item doesn't turn up and make it absolutely clear what you are selling, lot no. Amount of fragrance left etc. I have used eBay in the past but yes, it's a grey area for sure. Did you try Facebook marketplace or a local sale page? I'm hesitant because I know there's no seller protection there though. I hope that helps. Let me know if you want any more advice and thanks for watching ❤️
@@dr.claire.perfume Thanks Claire! That's great and very comprehensive advice! I'll try eBay based on that, sounds like the best option. Or go back to small ads in the paper 😂 I haven't been on any of the marketplaces so maybe I'll have a look at that too ☺️ Thanks, all the best
Hello Claire, Congratulations on 3K 🎉🎊🎆 One of my most worn fragrances are probably Mon Parfum by M. Micallef, Bouquet Ideale from Xerjoff and Silky Woods by Goldfield and Banks 🥰
Happy new year! Yes, I am really not sure how I got through so many! Maybe because a lot were minis and travel sprays and the bigger ones that I had were well used? They all seemed to finish at once. I do like to keep my collection moving though, otherwise I feel immense guilt buying new ones 🤣 thanks for watching ❤️
Hello Claire, I always enjoy seeing your videos get posted. I think I have mentioned this before but my most worn were my most disappointing blind buys. Not because I loved them... But because I wanted to get rid of them. 😅. I hoarded my favourites and it's totally illogical. Those were more pricy indie scents. Super beautiful with the naturals they put into the fragrances, but also lean a little more toward having a vintage vibe. I am pretty curious about the 'Found' by Miller Harris in your list. I like the smell of black current but it can walk a like for some people with smelling of cat urine. So, I do wonder how my nose would translate that fragrance. I did always enjoy black current wine gums, Ribena drink syrup as a child when getting to eat a sugary treat. I love the freshness of mint and ginger but don't often see mint in fragrances that aren't marketed to men. Finding one for me is a fragrance goal. I guess I should make a point of using perfume loves as much as disappointments in 2023. I am trying to make less blind buys and only purchase things I love. Thanks for your video! Take care. 💛- Jenn
Hi Jenn, yes I totally understand. I have a similar thing. It's weird. I should just declutter more really, but it's a difficult mindset to adopt. I was trying a fragrance from my collection yesterday and realised that it is leaking. I know I can't sell it, but I vaguely like it but don't love every aspect and sometimes it can even annoy me. My first thought was oh I'll use it up! But that ridiculous, it's 100ml. I'm not going to wear that for most of the year to finish it. So I will probably use it as a room spray or take it to work in case anyone falls in love with it, I don't know 🤷♀️ so yes long story short, I get it! 🤣 I have smelt cat pee blackcurrant, that is not an issue for me in found, I do think the more challenging aspect for some people is the pine musk in the dry down. I sometimes hate cedar, but I don't mind the pine in this fragrance because of the fruitiness. I have discovered this year the I really like mint, I would never have thought that. Let me know if you find anything really minty and good. Cadrene has some spearmint but the ginger and cardamom is probably more prominent. Thanks a lot for watching and for your views, I appreciate it! 🥰
I love perfume empties / most worn videos and yours are the best ones ! I also love the perfume empties by Nadine Samantha here on UA-cam , she also does a perfume project pan ❤
I love a spreadsheet! You got me curious about the Cerruti. Went to check it out and the first review I saw included this: “I would say this is one of the safest ways to try a truly ‘retro’ style fragrance. It’s got a vintage vibe that is still palatable in 2023. I wasn’t alive in the 90s but could picture this being the kind of thing my mum would’ve worn then and it being the ‘it’ girl of it’s day.”😵🫠 I sometimes can’t quite believe that people born in the 2000s are walking around, like, buying perfume and driving cars and stuff… But that math checks out😅
Haha, wow, you are a young one, enjoy it! ❤️ Yes I'd say Cerruti is one to try in store if you see it. It's only slightly vintage in that the camomile and mimosa give it a density and the musk is just a little is it / isn't it clean, but nothing too much. I must have smelt Cerruti in the 90s, cos it takes me there! 🥰
Chopard Love has been on my wish list for at least a year now and last year I bought Dua Rose Affair instead of Love…Well, it’s not what I thought it would be , so lesson learned. Don’t settle for something that you think will be a good substitute for what you really want 😉🤣
It's true, but Love was definitely not love at first sniff for me, I can see why opinions are so divided on it. I do think it's incredible quality for the price though. 50ml was
I finished bottles of Agent Provocateur and Jimmy Choo! Agent provocateur, I didn't love to start with but by the end of the bottle, I was quite smitten but I don't think it was quite me 😂
Oh thank you Frances ❤️ I love watching you too. I was thinking during your empties that if I filmed that I would not be anywhere near as engaging as you are, you keep it all moving and it's fab to watch. You know what? When I started I really did no planning 🤦♀️ I really had a steep learning curve to get my act together with UA-cam. I'm so glad I found you, you helped me immensely and I'm so grateful. Love you too 🥰
Hi Claire! Fun video. I haven't been getting interesting perfume at Marshalls or TJ Maxx for a couple of years now. You got some really good ones. I love it so much when I find something good for cheap. Ha. Ricci Ricci sounds tempting and that ylang-ylang floris. I love floris packaging. Happy New Year! 💙🌈🥰✨🕊️🌛❄️🌹🎉
Happy new year to you too! Yes I was really lucky earlier in the year. I left a few that I now regret not getting too. 🤦♀️ Still I can't buy everything I want 🤣 getting a good deal is very satisfying. I really want to try honey oud from Floris next. Thank you so much for watching and for your support always, I really appreciate it. ☺️ Happy new year 🎉
19:13 shoegaze fragrance? I'm totally in! I had the OG of this and now I have the blue one. It looks like I'm going to have to get this after that description ❤️
The blue one is really good too! I have a sample... I was torn with which to get! To me ombre evokes the same moodiness that I get from 90s shoegazer 🤷♀️ let me know if you agree! 🥰
@@dr.claire.perfume yeah I just bought it! you pushed me over the edge. It's in the mail. The blue one is definitely better than the OG I like them all. The blue one is a little feminine but I still wear it. I'll have to listen to some mazzy Star whilst applying 🥰
@@dr.claire.perfume I just received this, it's so freaking good! I have over 200 fragrances and this just shot up to my top 10 ❤️ your description is accurate. Mysterious, dissident, unassuming.... just like shoegaze!
@@jasonmelo9379 oh I'm happy you are enjoying it! That's fab! I am wearing Milano Fragranze Basilica today, which is herbal slightly milky slightly metallic incense. I've been really enjoying it 😊
I had a go a few months ago with my phone light and couldn't see the line, but maybe that's because it's quite low and at the bottom of the bottle, because the fragrance is sputtering when I try to spray it sometimes. I will have another look! 😊 Thanks for the tip! 🥰
@@dr.claire.perfume ya, I shake mine a little and a can see it moving. Mines near the top. I'm guessing yours might be about gone. I love this one. My favorite bedtime scent
Thanks for the tip! I tried but I don't see anything, I'm guessing there's not much left and that's why I don't see it, because the bottle is sputtering like it's nearly empty too. That's the problem when you can't see where the atomiser tube ends in the bottom and can't make sure the fragrance is directly underneath it when you spray. 🥰
I just love how on point, precise, organized you are.
I try but some would say I'm obsessional so it depends on your point of view 😂 it was hard to analyse this in a meaningful way because I sometimes wear 4 fragrances over the space of day with testing and bedtime so I struggled.
I love the expression of the "air being pregnant with a storm." So poetic and brings up so many memories!
I must have read that somewhere! That can't be original 🤣 way too poetic for me 🤣
Glad you’re feeling better and congrats on 3k! I appreciate how unique your content is and how much time you clearly put into bringing us researched content! Happy 2023 ❤
Happy 2023 to you too! Thank you! I was amazed to get to 3K. Thanks so much for your support throughout 2022 also!
Oh geez if the Narciso line gets dc’d I’m gonna be crying in my coffee!!!😭 Love this whole idea and hearing your faves of the year, Claire!!!💜💜💜
I think Narciso EDP is and maybe rouge, not sure about the others. I will be so sad if poudrée goes 😭 thanks for watching and your support Joss 🥰
Poudree is discontinued also. I heard all the original cubes?
The best by far “most used fragrances video”. The spreadsheet idea is just perfect
Thank you! I wouldn't be able to tell without a spreadsheet 😂
So cute when a friend knows you well enough to think of you when they smell a certain fragrance. :) Rhubarb and rose...esp sweet sounds lovely!
Yes it was striking, I just had to try it! 😊
I have now bought a full bottle - for me in addition to my bed linen 😁
I've had a bit of an obsession with Heliotrope too thanks to you! Again totally agree with your description. I like Guimauve; it's sweeter than I usually like but pretty so not a total blind buy fail. I feel I need to get Dragee next just to complete the set! Those bottles are so pretty 😍
I've bought so many samples this year and been trying those much of the time, but Diptyque's Orpheon, Guerlain's Mon Guerlain and La Petite Robe Noire, PdM Delina, Versace Versense and Hermes Eau de Merveilles Bleue are fragrances I wore frequently.
I never tried until early this year and that was it, I was hooked 🤣
Dolce Garden is a lovely fragrance.
Thank you! Honestly I am so happy and amazed by 3K! 😊
In this fragrance community I like your opions because you sound natural sometimes some are so pushing fragrances and declutter them later and this ok as well
I like this as well
Greetings from turkey 🌹
@@dr.claire.perfume you are so right
Happy new year 🌹
I hope you have a great Sunday!
Definitely trying out FOUND AT DUSK & Ylang Espresso when I get the
chance
Looking forward to your most-worn 2023 already! ❤❤❤
I absolutely love how you separated everything based on the month😊
Categories so far:
-Benched …TBD
-Brunchy-daytime-office (summer)
-Brunchy-daytime-office (winter)
-City Shopping Trip
-Contemplative/Meditative
-Gardening/Walk in the Woods
-Gym
-In a Mood
-Tuck me in
Category names will be groomed as I go; but sorting them this way really helps!
Most worn were prob:
Angel EDT
Angel Aura EDT
Angel Extraordinare
Angel Muse EDP
Angel Nova EDT
Jimmy Choo Irish Crush
Lolita Lempicka Elle L'Aime à la Folie
Lush Lord of Misrule
You category names are fab 👌 I think categorising fragrances help to show you what you have a lot of and what you don't. I remember categorising mine early on and realising that I was wearing casual ones but I was buying dressy ones. It made no sense. But only categorising them helped me to realise that.
Ooh some classics here! I only just tried angel EDT, I liked it! I really like Nova and Elle l'aime à la folie too. I will try lord of misrule of I see it in lush when I next go in 😊
Congratulations on 3k subs claire 🙂🎉
I agree with you on d&g garden think it also fits during winter.
Next on my wishlist reminiscence heliotrope 💚
I finally got my hands on insolence and oh my i fell inlove with it ❤️
My most worn fragrances in 2022
Cloud, pink sugar, EA green tea, kenzo eau de lumiere, guess marciano, zara gardenia, 4711 peony and sandal wood.
I was wearing Chopard - Love at Christmas and my boyfriend said that I'm smelling like a Christmas cinnamon candle 😀
My all time favourite perfume is Cerruti - 1881 🥰
Thanks, I will try it. 🥰
i think that Narciso poudrée is discontinued, found it discounted to half the price at sephora a couple months ago, and other frags, the sales assistant said the ones that r -50% r headed to discontinuation... that nina ricci at the beginning used to be a hit a few years ago, kinda weird seeing it go, i must smell that bubblegummy moschino asap!! ..good to know about the other frags!
but wow u emptied quite a number of frags last year!!..
lovely vid! and like how ur sweater matches the color of ur eyes, the nail polish also looked so Tom Ford lost cherry-ish lol, i dig it!...
I think I smelled a sample of Heliotrope recently and loved it! You are right...very Easter-y
It's really perfect for that time of year, even the pastel green macaron style bottle makes me think of Easter. 🐣
Ricci Ricci is so lovely! Your description is spot on
It's unexpectedly good! The patchouli is very smooth and it's beautifully syrupy. 🥰
You are so organized Claire! I look up to you 😊 since I am the extreme opposite of organized 😅 I’m trying to be better about it. One of my 2023 resolutions
Lol it's on with UA-cam really, no other areas of my life 🤣 good luck with your resolutions! 🥰
Thank you for all your details and taking the time out to list them in the description box. I have much research to do.
About the narsico poedree. When you turn it on its side you can see how much you have worn. Look at the top side with the top off.
Love your video's!
Thank you! Good tip, I will try, shining a light from above hasn't told me anything so this might be the solution ☺️
@@dr.claire.perfume let me know 😊
Heliotrope did not disappoint. I bought it because of you and it is delicious. Definitely reminds me of a Easter.
Yes! I bought it just before and wore it for Easter too! Glad you enjoy it too ☺️
I'm so glad you're feeling better, Claire!
Thanks for sharing these with us. I think that Agent Provocateur one sounds interesting! :)
Take care, Claire!
One of the best perfume reviewers around!!
Thank you 🥰
WOW! that's amazing progress.
I sometimes track my SOTD but I usually mix and change it, I can't stick with one scent a day🙈
Yes I record the one I put on in the morning as my main scent, this is what this video is based on, then the others, like when I get home from work, what I'm testing or what I wear to bed, are recorded too, but it was so complicated to analyse it that I just stuck with the first column. But yeah, I also chop and change, especially if they are shorter lived. 🙂
Congratulations on 3k subscribers Claire!!! I remember your end of the year 2021 perfume list and I loved it! I am looking forward to seeing this end of year wrap up and your methodlogical approach to it.
Thank you! And thank you so much for all your support throughout 2022! I really appreciate it 🥰
Happy 2023! Great video, I have never track what I use during the year, will try it this year.
Nice to know Dolce Garden is good for winter. I really want it 🌸🌸 congratulations on 3k 🥳🥳🥳
It's one that is better in the drydown for me! Thank you and thanks for watching ❤️
Regarding Narciso I heard that the white cube was discontinued. I love that one and poudree the most.
Yes I heard that the EDP was discontinued too, but it seems odd because that's the pillar fragrance from that line!
Congratulations on 3K 🎊 !! You deserve all the success, you are intelligent, dedicated, supportive to others, thank *YOU* for being who you are 🙏
Cerruti 1881 is an obsession to me too, it's a sumptuous rich atemporal floral, youthful, it's in my opinion a princess scent.
I ALWAYS think of you and Paola when I wear Alien Extraordinaire as you both convinced me to try it. 💖💖💖 A lovely scent!
I loved it, then wasn't fussed by it and then toward the end I felt like saving some and I thought, no this is ridiculous. I really enjoyed it, so sad to say goodbye to Thierry Mugler fragrances. 😥
The ylang ylang esspresso one sounds so intriguing! I'm going to see if i can get one soon
I wore it this week and it's really long lasting and delicious 😋
@@dr.claire.perfume I just ordered it 😁😁
Yayyyyy I love that you love Ricci Ricci! It’s really nice, my daughter loves it as well. Every time she walks across my fragrances she grabs that one and/ Angel muse. It’s definitely mature smelling but fun at the same time.
I guess it's sweet and interesting isnt it and maybe the bottle is attractive because of the bow. I love the rhubarb and it's really smooth 🥰
🥰 Happy new year to you too 🎊
Claire the poudree is available in John Lewis 😀 100mls & 150mls I've saved it on my wishlist 😀
L'ombre des Merveilles is such a lovely, sparkling scent yet too masculine for my liking so to tame it down I layer it on Mon Guerlain ;-).
Ooh yes I bet a bit of vanilla really works with it! 🥰
The Chopard one actually sound really nice, I love rose perfumes
It took me some time but wow, the quality is great. It's a lovely fragrance.
@@dr.claire.perfume I'll try to sniff it if I see it in store

Thank you Yulia 🥰 always lovely to see you! ☺️
Congratulations on 3K Claire! 🎉🎉🎊🎊 A great way to kick off the new year
It was! Thank you ❤️ I still can't believe it 😲
I allways waiting for your videos :) My most used fragrances are Rosendo Mateu 5 and Cafe Cabanel.
Thank you! That's so kind! Cafe cabanel is delicious 😋 I really want to try the rosendo fragrances this year! ☺️ Thank you for watching and happy new year! 🎉
I'm thinking about getting Dolce Garden. I'm such z sucker for Tiare and Frangipani
Yes it's got lots going on but the tropical florals are lovely. It's such a creamy fragrance in general though, delicious 😋
@@dr.claire.perfume here's to many more 🥳
Yes!!!
Not sure! 🥰
Watching this first thing in the morning! So excited!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for your support Brooke, I appreciate it. 🥰
Hi Claire
Happy New Year!
I wasn't understandable 😂
Yes 2022 flew by!
Christmas to new year I was staying at my mum's without WiFi, totally the dark ages there 😂
The Cerruti sounds good too!
@@dr.claire.perfume it’s actually a video from a while back, but I really enjoyed sniffing the samples!
Congrats on the 3K, Claire! Love hearing about your most worn perfumes. Happy New Year! xx
Thank you! 🥰 Happy that you enjoyed this! Happy new year 🎉
Found at Dusk and the Floral Street fragrance you mentioned sound so interesting.
It's a bargain 😉
Floral street have some really nice ones, I like London poppy and chypre sublime and Iris Goddess too 🙂
I hope you are well and have had a lovely weekend 🥰
@@dr.claire.perfume thank you! I am well and had a good weekend. Have to look up these other Floral Street perfumes you mentioned. Hope you’re doing well also!
They have sampler kits that are a great way to try the fragrances. They are relatively inexpensive too. ☺️
@@dr.claire.perfume thank you for letting me know! I will have to get those. I love sampler kits. I recommend that you try Tocca sampler kit and Atelier Cologne. 🥰
Dolce garden is so lovely and I can see it being lovely in the winter ! I actually love to reach for Terracotta in the winter when I have used so many winter perfumes I want a change
I really love narciso poudre and often thought of purchasing a bottle
Oh terracotta might get bought this year 🤣 I need something to replace orchid soleil and I can't afford a new bottle at the £100s that it now goes for! Poudrée is great, really elegant and ladylike. Thanks for watching Frances ❤️
@@dr.claire.perfume is it easy to find over there ?
Terracotta? It was earlier this year when I was looking, it was about £45. The price varies with the season, in summer it is more expensive than in winter.
@@dr.claire.perfume thats good and about the same price here !
Glad to see your feeling better.
So am I 😂
I devoted 2022 to exploring samples of new and niche perfumes.
They were:
Amouage's Myths, Journey, Portrayal, Memoir and Overture (the last 3 are dupes)
Frederic Malle (all dupes): Musc Ravageur, Carnal Flower, Lipstick Rose, French Lover, Dans Tes Bras (the last three are sold out)
Histoires de Parfums: Moulin Rouge 1889, 1876 (Mata Hari) and 1926 (Turandot), one of their opera fragrances. (Roja Dove also had two opera fragrances: another Turandot and Lakhme.)
Alghabra (a new Turkish house): Ancient Fortress and Labyrinth of Spices
Tiziana Terenzi: Arethusa and Kirke (a dupe)
Killian: Apple Brandy, Black Phantom, Love Don't Be Shy, Rolling in Love, Princess, Angel's Share, Noir Aphrodisiaque (all dupes from Dua and Oakcha).
We don't have mercari here annoyingly. It sounds so good, I'm always so jealous 🤣 yes I hope so too 😊
Hi Claire! I love your videos, my favourite person on youtube! ❤️
Just wondering, I know you've talked about selling perfumes before but I was wondering where you do it?
Congrats on reaching 3K ! 🎊 🎉 You deserve much more for sure 💯🙌 Love your content and your energy ❤

Hello Claire,
Congratulations on 3K 🎉🎊🎆
One of my most worn fragrances are probably Mon Parfum by M. Micallef, Bouquet Ideale from Xerjoff and Silky Woods by Goldfield and Banks 🥰

Happy New Year Claire! Wow all those empties😃 well done getting through all that. I have some spraying to do👍
Happy new year!
Hello Claire,
I always enjoy seeing your videos get posted.
I have smelt cat pee blackcurrant, that is not an issue for me in found, I do think the more challenging aspect for some people is the pine musk in the dry down.
"Rose wine-soaked cork". Brilliant description. 😁
Thank you! ☺️ It's really what it reminds me of, A Rose For is not at all how I imagined that it would smell, but it's lovely 🥰

Congratulation Claire!! 🎆 I really like the range you talked about, so tempted to try Narciso xx
Thank you! 🥰 Poudrée is lovely ☺️
Happy new years hun, and congratulations you truly deserve all of it.
Thank you Nika! And thank you for your support, I am so happy to have met you through UA-cam ☺️
Yesss I love a perfume range where the whole range is really nice and worth having!
I fell down that rabbit hole 😂 I am even wanting more of their other ranges 🤣 it's insane. I'm stopping for now.
50ml was

If you hold your phone torch up to it in the dark you can see the Narciso levels 🙂
Thanks for the tip! I tried but I don't see anything, I'm guessing there's not much left and that's why I don't see it, because the bottle is sputtering like it's nearly empty too.
