I just bought this club and played my first round with it..I am quite impressed..for me I'm getting 230 and some good run out with it and very easy to control..the sound I don't really like but I am very impressed with it..very comfortable, good weight and confident looking..staying in my bag for sure! Your comments are very helpful. I can relate to your frustration with inconsistent shots of the tee. I am a 14 handicapper and inconsistency is the name of the game in someone like me. Scratch golfers seldom need any help and usually do not look to buy a better game by purchasing new clubs. Informational videos on TV are generally hyped up for a quick sale and many stores like Dicks sporting goods truly feel the quality of the clubs sold on the internet are below par. Some golfers will disagree with your assessment of the club and that is understandable because we all have different swings and obtain different results with the same clubs. I would love to try out a club before paying top dollar for it .Thanks again for your candid assessment of the Teton driver/hybrid. Jay
Hey Jay, thank you so much for your comment! I appreciate you for writing down your own thoughts and absolutely agree on some of the points you hit on! I am also very inconsistent, but working hard to get better every day for sure. I hope to bring even more club reviews to the channel in the future! Even high end club reviews will be a goal in the upcoming months! Thanks for watching and keep golfing!
Nice video, thanks for taking the time! I bought a Teton several weeks ago, and it's a keeper. The biggest appeal to me is that, per the manufacturer web page, it's intended to be hit with a setup/swing like a long iron or hybrid, as opposed to a "tee it high, hit on the upswing" setup/swing of a conventional driver. On a perfect strike, my regular driver can be in the fairway a few yards further, but I can't depend on it. The Teton is much more reliable, both in distance and control. Off the deck, I share your observation- tried it, definitely not a good idea...I will only use it from the tee. My 19 degree hybrid 3 (only other non-iron I now carry) is far and away a better option from the fairway! Thanks again for putting this review up.
Thanks for watching the video! I totally agree with you! It is a very consistent club to hit off the tee box, more consistent than my brand new TS2! And while the TS2 can fly slightly further, I feel more confident with the tighter spread of the Teton! Hopefully, I can give away and do more reviews in the near future!
I bought this before I saw your video. I have only been able to use it for about 20-30 shots on two different occasions. I thought your review was dead on. I am probably a 15 handicap. The first time I used it I had it teed down like I would a hybrid or 3 or 5 wood and was aggravated at the results. The second time I said I was going to tee it up like a driver and got much better results. Probably between 170 and 190 with a nice little fade and excellent launch. Still deciding, though, if I want to keep it in the bag because I would like it to be around 200. I just turned 56 and have had 5 bypasses recently so trying to figure out if my distance is off because of my health or if my skills are definitely diminishing..
I have a single length 4h, I find the 7i length makes it versatile and so easy to use from: tees, fairways, rough, divots, fairway bunkers etc. It's also good for chipping and bump and run shots around the green and I even putt with it occasionally.
I love my hybrids. I have a Ping that I dialed down to 17* and hit it pretty good 170/ 175. I also use Cobra 4& 5 hybrid. They work well for me. I would love to hit it off the deck both on tee & fairway. I’m doing that with the Ping 3
I hit Taylormade 2,3,4,5,6 hybrids! No fairway woods. Really like hybrids! I don’t think I could hit the Teton any better than my 2H, but would be fun to try. Thanks for your video!
I´v tried this Teton once and was impressed. Its so much easier to hit compared to driver if you like playing irons. Not longer but safer. I'm looking into getting myself one for sure
Just picked up one from Play it again Sports for $75. Went to Driving range that was closing. Only had 6 balls to hit because it was closing.. I hit it pretty strait and just as far as my Taylor Driver (about 240) It looks promising and easier to control.
I love my hybrids. They are awsome and easy to hit it have a 4 and 5 hybrid that I use and there're one of my favorite clubs to hit. To hit chip and runs along with stingers with them.
It's actually a lot of fun to hit and I bought one for my brother who absolutely refuses to hit all woods of any kind but is okay with hybrids. I have a senior shaft sadly, but it still hits great!
Using Bazooka 3 & 4 hybrid. Purchased this club, but not yet received. My driving game is in shambles, so I’ve been using 3H as my driver. Would like just a bit more distance. Hopeful.
I use this club and love it. Distance means nothing to me anymore. My goal is consistency. It's a fairway finder. Tee it low and let it go. Use it off the deck on the reg. Love it. I shoot, pretty consistently, between mid 80's to mid 90's.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this club. I had one on order, but canceled it because of the shipping time. I opted for the Adams Golf Tightlies 3 and 5 woods instead. I play Adams Golf hybrids too. Love them!
Yeah the Teton brand does have a longer shipping time for sure. Congratulations on your new club purchases! Its always exciting adding stuff to the bag. I have not yet tried the Adams Golf Tight Lies but hope to soon... Maybe a future video?
i would also recommend buying either a used driver, or an older model (TS2 or Sim Driver), as they are often marked down in price and still have insane tech in them to warrant a decent value
I like using my hybrids 17 and 22 degree loft. Would love a 15 degree hybrid as I only have a 5 wood for fairways. From New Zealand and as far as I'm aware no retailers stock the Teton
Great review! I struggle with my driver (accuracy), but I do not have a lot of time to hit the range to practice. I consider the Teton like a crutch. I’d love to get one.
I have power built 4-p hybrids and I love them. Hybrids are east to hit. I have been looking to purchase one and replacing my driver. I suck using the driver.
I too am not confident in my driver lol. And i agree the hybrids are easy to hit! They fly pretty straight for me, and I haven't hit too many hybrid irons but I do want to try some in the near future!
Considering this as I’m a low swing speed (90) Senior. I replaced 3 & 4 irons with Taylormade 3 & 4 hybrids which I can hit more reliably than the irons.
I love hybrids. I have a Hogan VKTR+ 3 and a Cleveland Halo 2. I can hit the Hogan 230-240 yards, and I'm hitting the Cleveland 240-250 yards. I hit both of them high and straight. Definitely easier to hit than long irons. I use them off the tee, off the deck, out of the rough, and sometimes for chipping. They are great versatile clubs that are more consistent than fairway woods. Nice review of the Teton. I've been curious about that one.
Thank you so much for your comment, and yes I totally agree! The hybrids are very useful, fun, and versatile! Hopefully i can review more in the near future! Happy holidays!
I use a ping 3 hybrid that I really have liked so far had for a few months now and been looking at others as this was my first attempt at using a hybrid.
If you are not playing a hybrid yet and are thinking of adding one to your bag I would suggest a Ping G-410. This Teton seems like it might be an alternative to a 3 wood off a tee. It doesn’t look like it would be easy to hit out of the rough or off the deck. The Ping G-410 is easy to hit and pretty long. Good luck and good playing.
I use a 3 hybrid and have been thinking about trying out the Teton Hybrid Driver. I am a new golfer and not as consistent with my current driver. Thanks for the review!
No problem! I hope to review a lot of clubs in the future so we can all see what to buy and what not to buy. Overall, this is not a bad club, but more limited than I thought it would be
Before you go and spend money on new stuff I would look at maybe getting a inexpensive strong lofted fairway wood and then cut shaft length down to like 36 to 40 in. Before the mini drivers got popular by shrinking down the head I was loving my mini driver where I would usually take an eight or nine degree and put it on a five iron shaft
I use hybrids and I love them! I have a few of the Ping Hybrids. Good review. The Teton driver is 42.5 inches long I believe which would make it the length of my 5 Wood. Seems like a decent club to me. Worth considering. Would I add it to the bag? Hmmmm. Gotta think it over. Been getting offers to buy it for 97 bucks lately. I think I would rather hit my 3 or 5 wood off of the deck. Using the Teton as a driver off the tee might have some value. I think it would fall short of my drivers distance by a few yards but would you find more fairways? I am pretty sure you would. I enjoyed your review. Very thoughtful and well done. :)
That $97 dollar offer also has a mandatory $49.99 monthly subscription that you can cancel after the first month. Also, I ordered my Teton on July 1st, and they just sent me an email saying it shipped today (July 13). I'm still looking forward to hitting it, but the $97 offer is one of those "you get what you pay for".
Looks like a good alternative to a 3 wood. I have a 3 and 4 hybrid part of Taylormade Stealth set I got earlier this year. They're great for the second shot on a par five, or out of the rough when you have a long way to go.
I would recommend getting a normal 2-3 hybrid as you can get those up to 200 off the tee and hit it off the fairway a bit easier as this teton club provides little value in the fairway
I use Callaway Rogue hybrids, generally as rescue clubs that are easy to hit out of the rough as they plow through the grass with loft and accuracy. Looking for more consistency off the tee.
Currently using Cleveland hybrid’s- 7 through 3 - interested in trying this club 66 years old and play better w these than my irons - max swing speed 89 MPH w Driver
Oooohhh I've never gotten to use Cleveland hybrids yet but hopefully soon, yeah I find I'm more consistent with hybrids than I am irons as of right now
its not a bad purchase for accuracy, and consistency! i would recommend it for those reasons, but not for distance, so you definitely have to weigh the pros and cons, but its not a bad club overall!
Long wait time for delivery and from the publicity I had very high expectations which it has failed to live up to. Choking down on my Calloway Epic driver shortens the shaft and gives me better results. Nevertheless I keep trying the Teton every few weeks to see if I’m missing something and suspect you need to get your set up just right. Forget about hitting it off the deck. (15 handicap playing golf for longer than I can remember)
Rick Shiels also reviewed this hybrid driver. He said it was more of a 3 wood vs a driver but overall gave it positive reviews. I am not sure this will improve distance unless you are hitting your driver under 200 yards. I am a fan of hybrids and believe this is club can have results for beginners but for a decent golfer, this is actually not going to improve distance
you have some good points! Yes, Rick Shiels has a great review on this club too! And I would agree that it probably does replace a 3 wood more than a driver in terms of distance!
i have always used hybrids and a 3 wood. 26 yrs now. Finally got a driver given to me by a friend. What a disappointment. Its; all over the place and embarrassing. i went back to my 3wood but its 3+ and am right back to hitting fairways and my distance back. But its like 175 180. I would love to try this club and maybe I can get to the 200 yard mark. if I can get into your drawing or giveaway. I'm not a rich guy and on disability actually. So i would appreciate any help if you could help me out. my injuries have dramatically limited my game from what it use to be but I still play with my son I just am embarrassed and how limited my game has become. Thank you and great video. you seem very comfortable speaking publicly /
thank you so much for the kind words! I appreciate your support and taking the time to write this comment. You will definitely be entered to win, when this giveaway happens! Goodluck and god bless!
Great review. So what club do I need to hit off the fairway and also use for off the tee? I don't own a driver or a hybird. Just some old irons that my neighbor gave me. So I've been teeing off with a 3 iron. I can afford about $150 right now. Thanks!!
A 2-3 hybrid gives a lot of room to hit off the tee, and in the fairway, another solid option is a 3 wood. You can hit those clubs both for distance and accuracy off the tee and in the fairway
I wish it was more versatile but I'm afraid it is not. You are right on the money, and maybe one day we will see a club that is both versatile off the tee and in the fairway!
nice! i can relate to that because i also hit my hybrids better than my long irons.. ill probably look to get a new 5 hybrid soon for tricky 180 yard situations
yes it did seem that way which was kind of mind blowing. Yes it did seem like it was a full ball over the top of the club, but it could be different depending on your swing. just test a bunch of different tee heights at the range and youll figure it out fast!
only thing i worried about is hooking this club they designed it to be draw club for a slicer looks to me at the 2 video i looked at so far..reason you not get more distance these club not meant to tee up like a driver
Hey everyone is different! That's a major skill to be able to control your irons! If you can hit long irons, and need something for distance, it might be time to add a 2 iron to the bag 😳
What hybrids do you have in your bag?
I don’t have any hybrids yet, but hoping to get one sooner or later. Still a newbie to the game!😎

such good clubs, Im probably going to add another one to my bag here soon
Rick Shiels also reviewed this hybrid driver. He said it was more of a 3 wood vs a driver but overall gave it positive reviews. I am not sure this will improve distance unless you are hitting your driver under 200 yards. I am a fan of hybrids and believe this is club can have results for beginners but for a decent golfer, this is actually not going to improve distance
you have some good points! Yes, Rick Shiels has a great review on this club too! And I would agree that it probably does replace a 3 wood more than a driver in terms of distance!
Have not used a hybrid yet.
I use Eleven Hybrid clubs Hybrid are a great club to have in your bag
Hybrids help. I use callaway steelhead 3 & 4.
Ooh i love the steelheads, I use the 5 and 7 wood Callaway steelheads
i have always used hybrids and a 3 wood.
I have every hybrid ever made , ping. 16 , 20 , every perfect club made
I love hybrids, I've mostly hit Cobras but Ping makes really nice clubs too!
Yes I use a ping 4
i havent gotten to test out ping hybrids yet, do you like it?
Sounds great. I want one.
❤900 am
no, I used blades.. but I like this club..
I haven’t used hybrid clubs yet
I use your edge 3amd4 hybrids
I think I need to add more hybrids to my bag personally
Good video. I’ve been wondering if the Teton is for real or a gimmick!
I use a 17 degree non brand name
I bought one and I agree with test results comments here that it is not versatile, not long, and is hard to hit it from the fairway but ok with a tee.
I wish it was more versatile but I'm afraid it is not. You are right on the money, and maybe one day we will see a club that is both versatile off the tee and in the fairway!
I play a Taylor Made RBZ hybrid. I hit it better than my long irons.
nice! i can relate to that because i also hit my hybrids better than my long irons.. ill probably look to get a new 5 hybrid soon for tricky 180 yard situations
Would love to try this one!
you have to convince a good buddy to buy it lol or get lucky in this giveaway if we hit the like goal!
same loft as a 3 wood, and 3 wood is more accurate than a driver. Whats the difference??
I love hybrids
It’s long but closer to about a 3-5 wood length than a driver. It is pretty straight however.
Need one
I see you hit it better teed up higher yet they say tee itl low like a regular hybrid. Wpould you say it was a full ball over top of club?
yes it did seem that way which was kind of mind blowing. Yes it did seem like it was a full ball over the top of the club, but it could be different depending on your swing. just test a bunch of different tee heights at the range and youll figure it out fast!
Someone should make a comparison between hybrid drivers in the market. (Teton, autopilot etc)
This is a great idea! One I just might be able to do. I'll be sure to give you a shoutout as well if I can make it happen!
only thing i worried about is hooking this club they designed it to be draw club for a slicer looks to me at the 2 video i looked at so far..reason you not get more distance these club not meant to tee up like a driver
I did end up hooking a view balls when on the range for sure. Results will vary since i am a bit inconsistent, but hooking definitely can happen
I carry two hybrids (4 & 5). Never use em. I have astronomically better control with irons. Need a distance club.
Hey everyone is different! That's a major skill to be able to control your irons!
If you can hit long irons, and need something for distance, it might be time to add a 2 iron to the bag 😳
I use 2 Adams hybrids
nice, I love hybrids. I have never hit Adams clubs before but hopefully soon!
I use Callaway Rogue X irons and Hybrids.
