      @@LilJustinThaGreat yep. LSU won for the first time in nearly a decade. Kudos. But even Ole Miss has beaten Alabama more than that. And any team that's one-upped by Ole Miss doesn't have room to brag.

      @@LilJustinThaGreat "whooped y'all asses".......by 5 points. If that qualifies as an ass whooping, what do you call Alabama vs LSU in 2018, 2016, and the 2011 championship game? After all, LSU scored exactly 0 points in those 3 games combined. I ain't gonna make excuses for losing to LSU last year. They played better than Alabama. But the corn dogs have a long way to go before they deserve to be crowned the kings of college football.

    Great defensive play by #3 on the first play of the game. Yeah it was a 71 yard run, but he saved the touchdown and gave his defense an opportunity

    • @8MoneyIzmyMission8
      @8MoneyIzmyMission8 8 років тому

      More like the LSU WR pushed him right into that tackle. If Dural does nothing on that play, Fournette has a TD right there.

    • @krb0123
      @krb0123 8 років тому

      that doesnt take away from #3's great hustle

    • @8MoneyIzmyMission8
      @8MoneyIzmyMission8 8 років тому

      krb0123 You're absolutely right on that. I'm not knocking his hustle and because of it he stopped Fournette. This more of ragging on Dural for not being smarter there.
      Our freshman FB whiffed on an easy block after a catch Fournette made vs Florida and stopped Fournette from scoring on that play (the play just clipped his leg enough to prevent further yardage). Little things like that and the big things like youth at blocking and QB, drive killing or drive saving defensive penalties (OMG we kept drives alive like 3 different times vs Syracuse before they scored TDs off of all 3), that really made LSU suffer last year.

    • @WalterWhiteFootballSharing

      +ringworm999 I'm an NFL guy, I watch recorded college in the offseason, the close games and videos like this. Derrick Henry looks like he's going to suck in the NFL because he's got so little wiggle, so few moves, and I don't see much cutback. I only just started trying to scout Fournette. Zeke is a first rounder because he can threaten all the different gaps. What made Ron Dayne a Bust on the Giants, the NCAA All time Rushing leader, is being unable to threaten any gaps besides A Gaps, too slow to make it to the outside, unable to cut back to a different crease. The defense always knew, plug the A gaps and the run is stuffed. I still love watching Badgers footage with Dayne though. And I saw so much Henry because the cut ups are just so much fun.
      What Makes Lynch Special: Zone Blocking Cutback, he can gain yardage by taking advantage of overpursuit, he ends up running up the middle after starting a few yards to his right because the whole defense swarmed right with the blockers. It took some coaching by Tom Cable, but Lynch had the agility. Could fake or flatten at the second level. Marshawn will be missed:( If only he had gotten Tom Cable coaching early in his career, he'd be a sure fire Hall of Famer. But than Seattle would never have gotten him for cheap in 2010.

      Henry barley had to do anything. He had the bama o-line. Now he's backup for demarco Murray

    • @Troubleshooter-2.0
      @Troubleshooter-2.0 8 років тому +2

      I think Fournette is better. If he had come to Bama he'd have several NC rings. It really sucks that he went to the Tigers and we have to crush his stat average with our defense. If Les Miles opened up that offense it would take wear and tear off of Fournette and he'd still have the yards to win the Heisman. Derrick Henry is a different style runner. He has the speed to leave people, but he doesn't get as low and physical as Fournette. Derrick Henry is a freak of an athlete, probably moreso than Fournette, but Fournette is a better package at RB. It sucks that he went to LSU, but he'll never beat Bama and win a NC so cheers. :)

      It would appear Derrick Henry in week 1 of preseason 2016 looks pretty good behind good blocking. NFL caliber position coaching; and well blocked power plays and he can have a Brandon Jacobs career. When my Giants had a dominant O line in 07-08; Jacobs was a joy to watch; getting 1000 yards both years as part of a committee.
      But that was it; as the Giants O line came back down to earth and then started digging into 31st place in 2011; Jacobs was useless.

    Man, this is power on a whole other level then Henry. Fournette is at least fast enough to run in B and C gaps unlike the power back NFL busts.
    He's gotta show some cutback and wiggle to become an NFL starter caliber RB. He did pull a move in the backfield against the Def end Russel. That's a really large and slow Def end though, NFL Edge guys, way faster and really agile. We don't know if he doesn't show off moves because he Can't, or DOESN'T NEED TO. Because Honestly I do Love when a Big Back doesn't need to pull a move because he can run the guy over. Its not so easy in the NFL, everybody is fucking fast, that little slowdown from smashing a tackler is all it takes for 3 more to gang tackle you. You have to avoid contact in and around the trenches, smash the D backs because they don't get Juked easy.

    • @raybaker8653
      @raybaker8653 9 років тому +1

      If you go back and watch Fournette in the Bama game, he showed a lot more quickness, agility and wiggle you were talking about because he knew the guys he was going up against were bigger and faster. He struggle to get passed the line often no matter what moves he pulled because there were literally no open caps that he could expose before they closed.
