There is so much heavy black sand in that creek (and the rest of the area), that I almost hate panning the concentrates. I prefer the blue bowl for this. Thanks for the video and Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas!
My buddy and I use his Blue Bowl for our clean-up. Makes it a lot easier. Hello from Michigan.
Great job all around fam. Merry Christmas 😊. Gold Squad Out 🤠
I live over 5 hours from yahoola, we did go to crisson a couple weeks ago. Had a blast. I spend most of my time at the alabama gold camp. If I got 1.6 from 30 pans I'd probably pass out, maybe even away. So much fun seeing color in a pan.
.16 not 1.6 I wish!!!
You might be amazed with how fast you'll be able to clean your cons when using a wide bottom pan. Just a suggestion.
I enjoy these shorter videos.
Thanks for sharing
🙏❤️🌲
everybody has got there preference. I've tried every size of pan and just prefer the small bottom pan for finishing.
Thats a respectable smile. And you got way more patients for the black sand than i do. Good vid man.
Merry Christmas
That was stellar work out of you! Great take for 20 pans. I hope you had a Merry Christmas 👍
Merry Christmas!
you are correct sir it is a hobby for most of us that search for gold.
Go Dawgs
Dammit not getting these notifications!
I'll take that for 20 pans any day! I will be making a trip there soon. I will probably be wearing my Tennessee Vols shirt too, LOL!
Keep in mind that the blue pan you saw me using in this video is the "pan" I'm referring to. 17" pan that takes 4-8 shovels to fill with 1/4" depending on type of material and scooping ability lol.
@@goldiswhereyoufindit Yes, that pan is a two-handed beast! I much prefer my 14" Proline.
Local Tennessee legend, When will I see you out and about again?
Nice finds!
Good to have a hobby and a good workout!💥🇺🇸
Need one of those machines like they have on “Gold Rush!” 😁
What’s up with the mercury?
The old timers used it to help them capture gold through amalgamation. They then burned it off leaving the gold behind. Of course it then recondenses right back into the watershed. It will be there forever. Whenever I'm panning in an area where there is lots of mining history it's unavoidable.
I can make a wage with a pan. Good start. Keep at it!

Would diving the deeper spots produce more or bigger gold?
Hey. I moved up near Dahlonega last year and I just can’t find the right places to pan gold. Most of the places that you find on the internet all can’t be accessed because of private land. I know where yahoola creek park is but I’ve been to several other areas like Boggs creek and have been unsuccessful.
If you google "Gold Deposits of Georgia map 1909" and find any creek in the shaded areas there will be gold. What you need to do is find private property owners and ask them for permission. That's the best way.
thanks. If you ever want to take someone with you I'll be happy to come with@@goldiswhereyoufindit
salam kenal dari indonesia,,🇮🇩🇮🇩👍🙏
Did you remove the magnetic Black Sand
before you panned the cons?
No. In my opinion that's a waste of time. You have to dry the cons before you can separate the magnetics and half the black sand is non-magnetic anyway so it doesn't really help that much and adds more time.
Hi thanks for the video , i have a question plz , is any river in a mountain area has Gold ? And i try to pan but aloooooot of black sand without gold 😂
No, definitely not just anywhere. You have to do research to find out if it is a gold bearing area. Use mindat.org to look for previous gold mining activity in the area.
Okay bro thanks alot 🤍
Au fer sure fer sure💯❗

What is black sand? It can't be black quartz b/c if it were quartz then it would not separate from the regular tan color quartz-laden sand.......unless black sand is heavier for some reason.
.
The black sand in North Georgia mostly consists of the iron oxide minerals hematite and magnetite, but can also have purple garnet sand mixed in depending on where you are. Also, it might have traces of platinum group metals in it. Yes it is much heavier than regular sand - about 5 times more dense than water and nearly twice as dense as quartz. (Gold is 19 times more dense than water)
@@goldiswhereyoufindit Wow.....cool. Appreciate the thorough answer !!
.
Do you recommend any pay dirt to buy online?
So what do you do with the Mercury…? Asking in the event U find it, I’ll know what to do with it.
You can either leave it amalgamated with the gold, use a retort to recover the mercury or use nitric acid to dissolve the mercury and then precipitate it onto copper strips to recover it and store it safely. I do not recommend burning it off into the atmosphere so it goes right back into the watershed.
Is the shine ✨ in the black sand is a gold ?
Doubtful you're seeing gold mixed in the black sand. Hematite black sand has a reflective property sometimes.
Mantap pasir Hitam nya sobaty.....
Black sand love hate thing lol

I obviously have a full-time job and do this for fun instead of eating chips on the couch.
Rather be a treasure hunter than a desk jockey.
Tax free and you can catch a fish for lunch. No boss and work your own hours. I'm excited
Merry Christmas!
