the front side of the building was inspired by 2 french cathedrals Reims and Chartres (pointy towers) magnificent place that can give an idea to people of what a piece of work it must have been when they were built 8 or 9 centuries ago somewhere in france bourgogne in the middle of a forest next to an old quarry they are building a 13th century hard castle chateau-fort they have started it 20 years ago using only the tools that were used in the middle-age GUEDELON really worth watching
I love plain gothic gothique épuré without all the fancy ornments and statues (flamboyant) saint Denis near Paris is the best example it also was the first gothic building ever built the highest cathedral stands in a little town in northern france notre dame saint pierre de BEAUVAIS 48 meters under the roof 19 meters higher than notre dame de Paris :)
