Cathie Wood, "there so many doubters" and Elon's epic sandbagging helps keep a lid on TSLA. Yet nobody can scale and ride the real world AI wave like Musk. Once that lid is blown off you'll be so glad to own a piece of that action.

Cathy made 2 wrong points here:
1. Elon said that the energy business could be larger than 'automotive business'. He didn't say it would be larger than 'autonomous business'
2. Elon already said that he does not want an amphibious vehicle where you toggle between robotaxi and consumer vehicles. But Cathy said that it will be the case.
I don't think either point was wrong. The autonomous business is part of the auto business. She might be right on point 2 also as Elon does not get it right 100% of the time. If he has been too optimistic on Robotaxi, he might pivot as he has done before. Time will tell.
Kathy’s advice over the years is spotty at best…you are the only one responsible for gathering the pros and cons and investing accordingly..
Short sellers generally have an axe to grind and want to hurt a company.

I get the anxiety given your situation, I was recently laid off and TSLA is 70% of my portfolio avg ~$230. But after going through the big dip, I'm going long and looking forward to the big gains in the coming years.

Based on all the latest videos of FSD its still hit and miss driving. Some are amazing with zero interventions and then ive seen it fail in the first 5 minutes. There is one video from Chicago (techgeek tesla) that is both dangerous and also hilarious as it becomes lost underground lower Whacker.
What most people don't understand is that there have been no trials of autonomous driving except Tesla. The others that claim that are supervised, not autonomous.
I love Cathie. But I only lost money with her funds.
I have held from before the model 3. It was interesting to watch it drop to about $100 and now back up over $260. None of it will mater once robotaxi or Optimus are rolling. I bought for the AI, waiting for that to be priced in.
It is nice to swing from being a Cybertruck down (as compared to cost basis) to being an M3 performance up! Too soon for me to benefit from the swing; I plan on not touching my current $TSLA shares until 2040 unless it goes to $2500 before then, and maybe not then.

Everyone keeps forgetting Tesla Energy and the battery segment growth curve.
It's nice seeing a run. Haven't seen it in a while, I think it keeps going into earnings and then it keeps going after the surprise beat in EPS. It runs a bit more...then 8/8 comes and the investor class will bemoan the fact that Elon didn't give them his notes and a clear idea of what is coming and the sell off ensues.

I’m old school and I would not like Robotaxi until coast to coast trips can be made without intervention. There are no reports of this because it hasn’t happened and therefore sucks IMHO.
Stats can be manipulated, so argument about allowing Robotaxi because they produce fewer accidents per mile is worthless.

Whoever Tony is, he evidently does not know that Tesla offered us vehicle owners FSD free for one 30 day period. I tried it frequently and transmitted at least 50 comments in the course of that month. Waymo may have many miles of autonomous driving collected, but millions of Tesla owners were "inputting" billions of data in a mere 30 days.

Love your content Herbert! Have you heard about robotaxi potentially disrupting the last mile delivery market? Something like Party A put goods in a robotaxi and customer picks up the goods upon arrival at delivery location?
There are many FSD 12.4.3 videos showing many disengagements including driving in the oncoming lane. I’m 100% TSLA and drive an M3 but FSD needs to be MUCH better before it can be fully FSD and that can still take years using the existing end to end AI and neural networks. 2 years would be great.

Say what you want about the driverless not being ready in tesla but i can tell you first hand my aunt bought the new model tesla like 3 weeks ago and from the tesla parking lot she just enterd the adress and the car took her all the way by itself , it went according to the traffic laws and even when there were orange cones on the road it switched lanes accordingly and made all the way to the point of destination.
So the robotaxi is ready in my opinion and the tesla stock will shoot for the moon in the next 2 years , especialy if the govermant wont derail him with regulations.
Have monitored zero hedge for 10yrs. Iffy at best

@@sdpryce my concern for her fund isn't in regard to the cyclic nature of the market. it's her absolute godawful stock picks. Tesla was her saving grace. Other picks like Meta could cover her mistakes. But honestly, why pay the management fees and dilute my gains if i know half the stocks in her ETF are complete duds and i could just directly buy the stocks i think are going to perform

It doesn’t matter how many shares she sells she has to answer to her shareholders and taking profits is part of that game. She’ll be back in cheaper and she’ll make more money for her investors.
ARK still owns 10% in TESLA. She's selling some so she could buy PLTR.
No single stock can represent more than a set percentage of ARK funds. When they appreciate, she has to sell some to keep the proportion within those limits. This has happened many times over the past few years and always makes "ARK selling TSLA while Woods pumps the stock!" headlines.
Google how funds work my friend, you make yourself look foolish. If a fund has a rule it cannot hold more than 15% of a single stock, it is forced to sell on these run ups. 😊
