Hmmmm, i like him having the Fiery trait. Quite rare for a tank and i need that for raids. So i think i will go for him. Hopefully i am not wasting resources and he will help me in the future. Respect for keeping the content comming Dacs ❤.
He’s definitely a solid addition, if you have the right team you’ll unlock his full potential

I usually don't play Tank guardians that much (I tend to like having them just rock on their own) so yea he does seem very lackluster. His Special Ability seems to be really good though.
While I see why Rex could be underwhelming, I personally don't see it that way
His kit is well made to be a Snowball, meaning he is fragile at first, but becomes nearly unstoppable late game. So it is a bit of work to get him going, but it pays off really nice.
I would put him into A tier. While his kit is excellent at keeping foes from doing any form of harm and he can inflict them with a DOT and Anti Heal effect, he needs to put up with many attacks at first, which can be really deadly at times, and also that DOT effects completely ignore his shields (Ironic isn't it?)
Great video you made, and I hope to see a synergy test of how he, Woody, and Buzz would work out

Great breakdown bro! I recommend trying Mike wazowski with him to give him the extra armor and attack. And then either Hiro with advanced sustain module or you can try frozone in the back to keep pushing the healing through basic attacks. Although it’s much easier to sustain that if you are using frozone and targeting the enemy that Rex is focused on. This could be a satisfying combination as well with the burn and freeze damage. But like you said ideally you wanna use rex for it to work effectively. 👍🏻 keep it up bro
He really is underwhelming. I got super lucky and pulled a 5* and then a 4* so I got him to Astro 1. But even at astral 1 and level 80 I still can't beat campaign master 7. He's not tanky at all.
Put Violet and Sulley with him… great trio, finished Master pretty easily.
I did pair rex and violet at the end of the video, i feel like she really helps unlock his potential
So did they stop adding new characters after Rex?
That's um sad to hear I was hoping for an actual GOOD Hi-tech tank to come into the with the only other options being Baymax who been out since launch and nowadays he is kinda squishy and Wall-e all be adorable and can generate ALOT of armor sadly the dude can't heal unless he's 4 stared and that's an issue so I was hoping Rex could be the next top tier tank and to found out his underwhelming after waiting a month for him to come out is disappointing hopefully he could maybe get a buff in the near future or the actual Top Tier Hi-Tech tank (which can be anyone) can be right around the corner
Hes just not needed anywhere over the other Tanks I wonder if they nerfed him prior to release his damage is just absolute Garbage I wont rank mine to lv90 just to beat Master A-2 Screw that not worth it Triton Simba Genie Wall-E Mr. I Oogie are just waay better tanks then this guy. I can't believe they made him this weak I love the character bad design.
It was expected with the amount of insane guardians coming within the recent months, but on paper he looked amazing but in reality he’s not going to stand out
What will Jesse or bo or the other toy story charaters be look like in mirrorverse?
Damn i dropped this game after Kermit and it's sad that they still haven't upgraded the energy cap.
I got him 4 star from event shard but he ain’t the best the only tank I think is good is samba and genie is rubbish to but when it’s a genie your fighting against he seems so much better then he is for the player they make him way over powered and also being able to shield him self so quickly and they need to add controller supporter cause the longer the damn battles are it starts hurting your hand just tap tap tap slide tap tap slide is annoying and when you just think you beat it they make another enemy pop out
