I feel like France doesn't get enough credit for singing in their own language almost every year, while so many people complain that we want more countries to sing in their mother tongue. I think this is a great song in its native language that deserves a high ranking this year! But I feel like the automatic qualifiers rarely get appreciated when they make great songs 😕

I mean, I get that people maybe expect something absolutely amazing from the automatic qualifiers because they're always in the final anyway, but I feel that they get overlooked sometimes and that people take them for granted. France pretty much always sing in French, which is amazing! I don't want them to start turning to English just to get more votes or something. And Pastora Soler in 2012 was absolutely amazing! And Edurne in 2015 was also amazing! I still get goosebumps when I watch those performances. Now the UK is another story 😂😂 Sorry guys 😅✌✌

she used a character to do that )I found it almost offensive to them(the immigrants) ..."Je suis Tous Les enfants qu la mere a pris"Now seriously ?What does that even mean ?Do you really know how this is actually like ?I don't think so...

If I'm not mistaken, I think the message of the video is as it follows:
These dancers represent the black thoughts that accompany each person (in this case Barbara), in other words the difficulties of life. At first she copes well with them, dances with them, successfully bypasses them (scene from the train), but later it becomes increasingly difficult to fight them off and they start attacking her. At the end of the video, it is shown how the same person can cope with stress in two different ways. While she shows a smiling face on the outside, she is broken on the inside, and it is interesting that she laughs while it is dark - which probably symbolizes that that smile is blurry, while that real sad face is bright as day.

Meaning of Voilà by André Rieu & Emma Kok
      August 27, 2023
"Voilà" by André Rieu & Emma is a song about self-expression and embracing one's true self. The lyrics depict a singer who wants to be heard and seen for who she truly is. She urges the listener to talk about her to their loves and friends, sharing her story and her dreams. The singer yearns to write stories that reach out to others and connect with them.
In the chorus, the singer declares, "Voilà qui je suis" (Here I am), expressing her willingness to expose herself and overcome her fears. She wants to be heard, both in the noise and in the silence, indicating her desire for her voice to be heard in all circumstances.
As the song progresses, the singer asks the audience to look at her and what remains of her. It is a plea to be seen and acknowledged before she starts to dislike herself. She acknowledges that what she has to offer may seem insignificant, but it is everything she has, and she lays it all out for the world to see.
The third verse carries a touch of desperation as the singer begs the listener not to leave and emphasizes the importance of their presence in her life. She yearns for love, to be loved like a friend who will always be there. The singer admits to not knowing how to love herself fully and craves acceptance from others, including their adoration of her flaws.
In the final chorus, the singer asserts that she is willing to be exposed, both in noise and fury. She pleads for people to finally see her and to recognize her eyes, hands, and everything she has to offer. With the repeated chant of "Voilà," she concludes the song, reaffirming her presence and her willingness to be vulnerable.
Overall, "Voilà" is a song about embracing one's identity, finding the courage to be vulnerable, and seeking validation and acceptance from others while also acknowledging the importance of self-love.

Me voilà même si mise à nue j'ai peur, oui
Me voilà même si mise à nue c'est fini
    J'veux qu'on m'aime
Me voilà même si mise à nue c'est fini
Me voilà, me voilà, me voilà
    Voilà...

When we actually hear songs in a country's native language it great but it should in no way become something that always happens!(Besides you should remember that one of the purposes of ESC is sharing deep or just beautiful messages that we can only understand when they are sung in English) Personally for example I think that when it comes to France should FINALLY hear an English spoken song!

That's too bad that France has lots of great songs last decade and they have been one of the favorites several times, but the audience doesn't understand or appreciate it enough, and their favorite status doesn't show in final result.
