RST makes sense if you work with motors or electronic motor controls, motors are identified with UVW; think switches with "FEED" and "LOAD" markings.
Might not seem much for a plug and socket but if you're trying to find (say) motor #5 in a busy control panel (bearing in mind that cabling might well go through a bank of Din rail terminals on its route), then you know if you have UVW/5 you've got the motor connection and RST/5 will be the supply side for it.

I imagine it’s related to the latter part of the alphabet RST 123? I maybe just thinking outside of the box but it’s quite easy for me to remember.👍👍

If it is meant as an instructional video, then I have to ask you to change the male plug, to keep the IP classification

I wish I knew as much as you about electrics :) Think I lost too many braincells during my misspent youth while burning the candle at both ends

People also use UVW, XYZ, or ABC for the three-phase systems why make it easy?
I still have a grudge about the colour change from Red,Yellow,Blue to the bland Brown,Black,Grey just crazy in my humble opinion. We go on about safety standards then to please our European friends the black becomes a phase colour and a phase colour (blue) becomes a neutral….I’m well out of it now good luck everyone😀

Is a "male socket" gender neutral ?
