I would be careful trying to copy their feed/speeds. They're also using a collet chuck so they can spin much faster without having to worry about centrifugal force. If you try those speeds with a standard 3 jaw chuck you're gonna have a bad day.
He’s machining aluminum lol. If you work with high speed steel that’s a different world. That’s why he’s going through like butter with no coolant and not causing the tools/parts to go blue-hot. Try this on 4140 with no coolant and you’ll snap a 1/2in CEM if you don’t start a sparkle show in the machine. It’s true that most people do not push tools as far as they should, especially with 8620 in my opinion, you can go a lot harder on 8620 than you might think, and maintain good/stable measurements… but never trust a demo video to be completely honest about what’s going on, even if they aren’t selling you something they might still want to justify their huge purchase by being biased as to how it runs. Or they might just type the wrong material into the caption by accident. In machining I’ve learned to trust what you can touch, sometimes literally sometimes figuratively
Sir, I am working on Portal wheel lathe used for turning of Railway wheels (Make Safop) and facing issue in matching wheel profile at higher depth of cut. After profile matching with tool offset, when we make a radial cut upto 2mm we not find any issue. But when we increase the depth of cut we didn't get the required profile. May be it is related to cutting speed, spindle speed or any other factor. Requesting you to please help me in this matter.
What kind of insert are you using? Carbide? If so, test ceramic inserts. Not for roughing but for finishing. Ceramics really don't like disrupted cuts.

Being good at mathematics (especially Coordinate Geometry) is enough for coding. The G codes and M codes can be found on the internet. Look at the the codes. I've been studying codes and formula for months it's a challenge but can be done. The program contains: Definition Statements(tools) - Matching Statements (coordinates) - Closing Statements rtn's Tool to exit That's it!
The more I watch these types of videos, the more I realize how much harder I can push my tools
