In a lot of cases it might be the rubber seats that are leaking. The seats and springs can be removed with an hex wrench and replaced. Watch here: ua-cam.com/video/u9n6IZbrAUc/v-deo.htmlm10s
Greetings I have in my shower this kind of single ball as showed In the video and work still properly I just need the correct knob handle. Could you please help me with the correct replacement. A this time I traveled to homedepot and bought 4 diferents models from delta and danko but still I don't found the perfect for the shower.
Hi Charles, thank you for watching! Currently we don't have that particular video for shower repairs. If there are 3 sets of seats and springs then you can replace the seats and springs by pulling them out with an allen wrench or screwdriver as shown in this video: ua-cam.com/video/u9n6IZbrAUc/v-deo.html If you've found this helpful and want to help support the production of more videos like this, you can like, share or even subscribe to our channel. Every little bit helps!
Thanks for watching. You are right that it's best to replace the seats and springs as well. We split the two videos into one for the ball valve and one talking about the seats and springs. ua-cam.com/video/u9n6IZbrAUc/v-deo.html
Thanks for watching. Do you mean the small pin that slots into the ball valve? This pin helps guide the ball, but if your faucet didn't have one installed to begin with then it shouldn't be a problem when installing a new one.
What causes the faucet to leak when in the off position? But it only leaks when handle is sttaight in the middle. If you turn it to hot or cold, while off, it doesnt leak. I replaced seats and springs, cam and packing, and it still leaks very slightly. The only thing still original is the ball valve. Should this be changed? It looks fine Thank you
Hi splash, thanks for reaching out. These ball valves use physical pressure to push down on the seats. It sounds like your ball valve is slightly loose when straight in the middle but seems to apply pressure while you turn it (while off). If the ball valve looks fine, you might want to try to tighten the adjusting ring. Tightening will make it harder to turn the handle but will push more pressure down on the ball valve.
Hi Ariah, thank you for watching. Ball valves are easy to replace but one con is that the seats and springs can wear down over time. Other single handle cartridges don't use seats and springs but still will need to be replaced over years of use.
Thanks for watching. This was one of the first series we made and at the time we did split it up into the different repairs so we could have them matched to various parts. We have the seats and springs repair specifically on this video: ua-cam.com/video/u9n6IZbrAUc/v-deo.html This was added as a pinned comment so others can see this.
There are proper tools for removing the parts that need to be used to keep from scaring the plastic threads. They are included in the repair kit from Delta. Repair kit RP3614 Not a pair of needle nose pliers.
Thanks for watching. You are right, that repair kit does come with a small wrench to help with the repair. If someone only buys the seats and springs or the ball, then they'll have to remove the adjustment ring some other way. Needle nose pliers can score the plastic threads but even if the top threads to get warped, it won't affect how well the adjustment ring is screwed in.
Bud ,why would you replace that ball I know she said it may become weak but I don’t know wouldn’t it be more likely springs and seats in there rather then ball itself ?
Hi Gabriel, thank you for watching. The repair is going to be similar. If not a ball valve, then many kitchen sinks have cartridges like this one: ua-cam.com/video/1Q0PmvTk7os/v-deo.html

How do I replace this with a new two-insert unit?
Your video was awesome! Being a 74 yo, with your instructions, I got my faucet fixed!!! Thanks!!!
You're welcome Sandy, we're just happy to help!
Thanks - I had to tighten my assembly more than hand tight to stop a leak but this video saved me ALOT of money!

My shower has this type of faucet and I have three holes instead of two. Do you have a video that details a faucet repair like that?

What if the set screw that holds the handle to the tap broke?
Thanks for watching. If you are able to remove the handle then you can always install a new handle / set screw.
Buy a complete replacement kit that includes every part, seats, springs and seals needed including the tool. Don’t do a halfway job.

The pin is missing on mine. Can I do without it

What is the pros and cons of this

I can't get that little ring off to get to the ball. The ring is the one the size of a man's ring.
Thanks for watching. Are you referring to the retaining ring or the cam?
Why did she skip the springs and rubber o-rings?

Alberto, with some care and finesse a pair of needle-nose will work just fine.
what about kitchen sinks
