I haven't watch these in quite a while, cause i wasent feeling like watching a 10 miniutes video of purely Construction noices. But with the addition of informative commentary i really like it : -)
I want @JoeTegtmeyer to learn from you guys, this is really excellent narration! Informative and useful! It's OK to have a little dead air, not necessary to constantly fill the empty spaces with the obvious (or to repeat things every time). That's what I love about it. The comment about beams on a truck is pretty funny, maybe because it's almost self-referential.
Thank you sooooo much for making this format! I have ADHD and as exciting as Starbase is, even after years of watching NSF I find it hard to concentrate on the videos. But with Das now just hanging out with us watching it and explaining everything in one take, I really feel like I'm understanding exactly what's going on and I'm reaching the end wanting more! You rock NSF! P.S. More OLM love!!! ❤️
Fantastic job on the commentary, great job Das! I love the new nickname for the chopsticks, "Frakensticks"! LOL Keep up these commentary videos, this was definitely needed.
I always wish we had more of Daz commentary, the man is a genious. Also it really help us us who don't always have to opportunity to watch the videos but love to listen the videos.
so as someone who isint fimilar with this kind of stuff i never watch these mini updates video as i had very little idea what i was looking at. im glad to see this is now a thing as i can understand so much better thank u das
"so much work on the chopsticks", well, they are doing (AGAIN) something that has never been done before, while the whole world is watching. And let's be honest, something that has never been done before is putting it too lightly.. it's insane. So yes more work on it plz. it's going to be mind blowing if it works. So exciting! Can't wait for the excellent coverage of NSF. Thanks Das
I hope you guys do this more often. I am visually impaired and typically skip the time-lapse videos due to being unable to tell what I am looking at half the time.
I like the new format, I hope you can set up the different channels that’s a perfect solution to keep everybody happy. Channel one: ambient sounds. Channel 2: narration. Channel 3: Bob the builder soundtrack
STARCAT!! Haha been awhile since I watched these update videos. I used to watch all the time from the hopper days until about the first IFT. Amazing to see all the changes at Starbase and around the channel. Keep up the good work yall! Small note me being a welder, the bag at the end could contain welding electrodes too (depending on the welding process they are using)
I concur with Das calling the chopsticks "Frankensticks" 😊. These time lapse videos are great. Get to see the activity at Starbase that I have missed. Thanks team NSF.
Sorry guys, the narration isn't needed. You have so many other update videos, live streams and countdowns all with non-stop chatter. The ASMR factor of these videos is what made them great, they absolutely don't need someone stating what we can already see.
I think all the work on the chopsticks makes sense, You can never be too careful, especially when you have to catch a giant missile heading for the launch pad!
Since they didn’t stack tower 2 taller I’m assuming they aren’t expecting V3 any time soon. Maybe a good year or two with V2 then we’ll start to see hints of V3 when they start filing permits to extend the towers. I used to do tower work and yes it’s extremely common that we would put tools and hardware in those Klein canvas bags. They’re great and I don’t believe OSHA lets you use regular buckets made of plastic.
Gotta love how Elon says it’s the FAA delaying the launch…people gotta get over thinking that way, this launch isn’t delayed, there are things they want to do like reinforce the chopsticks, like finish the second tower and get the big crane out of there. I think we’d all appreciate a statement of “hey, we’re almost ready, there are just a few things left on the list, we’ll go when it’s ready..”
I would guess chopsticks work and reinforcing is 'overbuilding' to prevent something breaking during attempt. After, then can check the data and find what they can be removed. Would guess lots of instrumentation being installed, too.
Das has always been NSF best commentator, but Jack is also doing excellent lately. I really appreciate those two. ❤
Whole team has clearly learned a lot and gotten better, but they're the OGs for sure.
"My Jack" and Das tie!
Agree, missed Das commentary.
Jack, Das, EJ, and Lon. The best.
These videos are even more exciting with commentary!
Great work Das and the whole NSF team!!! ❤
Das-planation video's hopefully are a new addition now. Thanks Das and NSF team.
The narration is so much better. Thank you for doing that

@@BrianAllenWS I agree! A little thoughtful silence can be very good!
I must say, as someone who doesn't know anything about construction and what they're doing, the narration helps a lot.
This has gone from being a background video to being my favorite segment in just three short videos LoL!
KEEP! LEANING! INTO! IT!
I love the impromptu-style commentary. ❤
I love the narration, let’s me listen to the weekly update while I do stuff at work
Thanks Mary!!!
NSF's new hit song "Beams on a truck" heard only on 102.3 Starbase radio!!!
Thank you sooooo much for making this format! I have ADHD and as exciting as Starbase is, even after years of watching NSF I find it hard to concentrate on the videos.

Nice. Thanks Mary, Jack and all the stuff. Great commentary Das.

Block 2 Starship looks so sick! Can't wait to see it fully assembled!
I hope you guys do this more often. I am visually impaired and typically skip the time-lapse videos due to being unable to tell what I am looking at half the time.

Sounds like a sportsgame amazing!
I normally like anyway, but I'm ❤❤❤❤❤ for Starcat, and Gary the Grackle. Danger Moo and yes even Horse Cam.
Liking the new commentary as opposed to the normal background noise tracks. Keep it up!
These are much better with some commentary, even if it's impromptu
Love it. Amazing Das. Keep up amazing work.
Another great Video, Thanks
Hi, great narration BUT, each time you mention the QD arm, it really sounds like you're calling it the CUTIE Arm. ❤😂
I like these narrated versions. Nice!
Yes! Commentary is amazing all for it!!😆😆🚀🐈⬛
Great narration.

I agree. Up until now, the sticks have worked for lifting and stacking. But not quite ready for catching.
I think all the work on the chopsticks makes sense, You can never be too careful, especially when you have to catch a giant missile heading for the launch pad!

It’s better with commentary, for sure
Nice that we are now out of the silent movie era
Thanks
I love the commentary!
Love the narrative
Hi, is there a way to still watch these videos without narration? Nothing against the person doing it, I just prefer it the old way. Thanks
So glad star cat is still ok
Nice work, keep it up
the shot at 9:19 looks so gorey to me, like this poor starship got brutally ripped in half and has its intestines hanging out
This keeps getting better and better!!!
omg its soooooooo amazing its like good and gooder, its like you dont know wdfaereeeeeeeeedfstst

Starcat sighting!
“Beams on a truck” like “snakes on a plane”… I wonder who StarCat reports to? Maybe it is AI?
