It's amazing how the two main dancers alone can change the whole mood and style of the same choreography. Reminds me of exo-k and exo-m and how they deliver different vibes for the same choreography.
I think the stage direction and placement and spacing was a bit better with lay..and i know 2:21 isnt kais part hes just filling in for lay at 2:21 but man nobody can do it like yixing..still kai did amazing as usual!
I'm sorry for my unpopular opinion, but I think Lay did Lotto better. :) I mean, they have different 'signature' moves and Lotto's choreo suited Lay's style better.

Without lay!! It's hurts lay fits this so well and his jumps!! He is one of the lighter members of exo but u can see that his jumps and his balance omg!!

I think people need to remember that Kai and Lay were trained in different dance styles, I love to watch Lay because he flows from one move to the other with ease. I find Kai is more structured and refined in his movement. Neither is a negative, it is just they way they trained.

Not between the two performances, but at the 1:39 mark in only the Lay performance. Split the screen in half: Look at the difference between the left half of the group (with Lay) and the right (without Lay); he gives the choreography neatness, shape and frame.

As an EXO-L, I love both Kai and Lay, They both have they own style and advantages and they both dance super good! They need no comparison, but more colaboration stage. Kailay relationship is also very good. I can't forget when Lay said he feel so thankful when Kai was his dancing teacher and practice companion in their trainee period. I still remember Kai said he always respect and appreciate Lay hyong's talent, warmth and support. Love them and EXO can't be compete without anyone of the members.

Watching this after having seen Lay in idol producer is pretty interesting xD one of the things he keeps bringing up with group choreography is member positions and tightness. I wonder when he dances with Exo, he constantly reminds them of those lol and hence the dance with him just seems slightly neater.

It's an unfair comparison to make - Kai was out for MONTHS with an injury, and IIRC that was his first time ever performing "Lotto" live. Lay had done this performance dozens of times (including that painful SS360 performance where he looked like he was dying because of his back injury). Lay may be my bias, but Kai did a great job under the circumstances. And yes, we do need an OT9 performance of this song!!!
if you watch the over all performance not only this video but other videos also you can definitely say that KAI dance lotto the best even if its less time of practice..of course except the dance break which is acceptable bec he recently just recovered from injury but its still good.
this reminded me of someone said that they had more versions of the dance , like many of it just incase someone had to do something (ex: Lay filming in CH) and cannot join them (I forgot in what video)

Without Kai: Kai was absent during the promotion of Lotto because of his injury. Without Lay: Kai finally recovered, but Lay was busy with his activities in China so he was absent.

Kai best dancer in kpop Lay is best Dancer and even he competed with foreign talented, well known dancers. So, Lay should be fine. There's nothing to compare.
It seems like the group as a whole danced better on the left - I can't choose solo though - they're both good in their own ways. Lay is also such a good dancer. I wish I could see this with OT9.

Lay was very powerful at that part, but Kai wasn't. Lay jumped highly but Kai just walked. I think Kai was still injured
