I did this project and I thought it was going great, but the final steps of stitching the front/back/middle together and applying bias tape to the raw inside edges were pretty disastrous for me. :/ For some reason, nothing seems to fit together quite right and I'm having so much trouble avoiding wrinkles in my bias tape. I have no idea how they managed to do it so easily.
Since a lot of people asked, the black/white layer is fusible interfacing to give the bag structure. I used Pellon SF101 Shape-Flex in black, but I wonder if I should have gone with a lighter weight interfacing.
