2 quick things. Ohio state is favored to beat Oregon by 1.5 (slim) but home field is worth 3 pts. Michigans coaching turnover is what should scare their fans. 5 new starters on the o line. And a new qb. Of the top schools in the conference Ohio state to me is the only team that is more talented than the previous roster. The others have either taken a step back or look about the same. I do see Nebraska moving up to that 8-9 win realm and possibly competing for a playoff spot in 2025.

Love the content. The way I see it is can Scatterfield and the rest of Nebraskas play makers all get on the same page and execute consistently. Play calling, having a well defined game plan and team identity is what enables teams to get progressively better throughout the season in the B1G. If Marcus can't do that this year and capitalize on the progress we have been making. We may be looking for two new Coordinators in early December. Scatt needs his best season ever as a coach. We need 9 wins, a big signature win will help alot or recruits will lose confidence. GBR.

I follow Michigan State quite clearly, and I think your analysis of my Spartans is very good. I’m just not sure what we’ll get this year. I think the absolute, “everything goes better than expected” ceiling is 9-3, but the “everything falls apart” floor is 2-10. I think 6-6 is most likely this year, even though Vegas has the O/U at 4.5 wins.
I actually think 4.5 is kinda low. Playing Oregon, UM & OSU is a bad draw, but honestly 5 wins feels like the minimum. This team reminds me of what Nebraska went through with Matt Rhule and Rhule could’ve won 8 last year, but disaster resulted in 5. We’ll see! MSU is on their way back regardless
Also some of these schools need to step up and do something. There are some that have a target on their back as being the first ones to be dismissed from the conference as the Super Conference starts to come into effect. Your Northwestern’s, Purdue, Rutgers etc. All teams that bring NOTHING to the table.
As an Iowa fan we had some news coming from spring practice that i didn’t expect you to hear since your focus is on Nebraska. What they said is that Tim Lester’s offense had serious changes from the way it was previously, and when Kirk ferentz was asked about it he didn’t know everything going on, insinuating that he is not keeping the OC under his thumb. I think he learned his lesson from that embarrassing offense
Don’t quote me, but I’m pretty certain his % is in the 50’s over the last two years. He was the #3 QB in his class (HORRIBLE) class all around lol. But still top 25 player for any position. He was weak in their offense even though he doesn’t through picks. He’s still a top QB prospect though, so maybe it’s not his fault, maybe PSU just had bad talent around him 🤷🏼♂️

What happens when all these big names in recruting choose other schools to go to? Most big schools have way more recruits at this point then nebraska. None of nebraskas top targets are locks at all and have big names that have been way better then nebraska over the last 20 years. I am a lifelong Ohio State fan. When I found out Nebraska was joining the BIG TEN way back then I was very happy. Every game against Oklahoma I was riding with the Huskers all the way. You guys WILL get together and the BIG TEN and collage football will be better for it. Now get those research dollars you have a great educational school TAKE advantage of it!!!!!!! GO BUCKS!!!
