Life is like a box of chocolates... the Zero ones are scrumptious! Certainly to be counted among the earliest and best of the jam bands genre. And truly Marin :-) I love being reminded of Judge's power. Bless you my brother
Wow..a complete blast from the past. Minus Nicky Hopkins this was the lineup I first saw, heard and met back on the east coast. Not many people at that show and the band members were quite approachable. It was the first of five or six shows. I tagged along with them for the next 5 nights from Baltimore to DC, Philly, and New York X's 2. Judge (R.I.P.) was just the nicest guy and Steve gave me some pointers as Did Gregg. I was a bass player but was taken back by Steve's playing, especially his slide play. Martin (R.I.P.) had me laughing at almost every step of the way. Gregg was quiet but quite the soft spoken conversationalist too and Pete had a sense of humor all his own. Been following Steve on the web for a few years now. He's had a huge influence on how I approach playing.
I to saw zero alot in the 90s I started in 95 though I can't remember if it was Dave's show on bai NYC Friday 3 am till 6 am played a xero show from that evening from wetlands. Or Mr Marty from old wnew but fell in love rite away n since I got to know Steve a little he is very a accessable just don't talk about taping his shows. He knows how it spreads his music to new people. But he isn't rich and works hard. But he does love his fan. I was wowed when I found out he live close to me in PA. Peace all
I saw them at the "Brewin Beats" in Arcata in 95, purely a magical night. They held everyone spellbound, with Catalina, and Chance in a million! I had a best time and remember a Humboldt State student dancing to the music with a pitcher of Red Nectar Ale he was drinking from, and he never sat it down just refilled it and kept dancing the whole night. I had a great friend Susan who was the closest thing to a Goddess and truly stunning and the best match for me of my life as my date and the night was Chance in a Million! Loved Arcata so peaceful. So living! Peace
Love the two pianos: Pete and Nicky were simply sublime together.
Glad we have so many ways to remember, this is one of them!
loved zero-- one of my favorites- next to grateful dead ;O)

Only time I saw them was at Sausalito Arts Fest. 80% of the crowd was thinking "huh?" and I was jazzed.

Good for the soul.
RIP Judge! Great music ya'll made.
When Pete Sears played keyboards with Zero they were my favorite band ever. Martin, Bobby V. Greg, and of course the Master Steve Kimock
CHUT UP!
Sears would have been such a great fit in the Dead....Oh well...
The good old days…peace all❤️
