The Storytellers With Andrew Erwin - Episode 15: for KING + COUNTRY

On today’s episode, Andrew is joined in the studio by Joel and Luke Smallbone, who together form the highly successful singer-songwriter duo for KING & COUNTRY. Together they talk about their upcoming film, Unsung Hero, which is based on the story of their family’s immigration from Australia to the United States in the early 90’s. The brothers also take us into their beginnings as a band, converse about the inner-workings of family and faith, and give their takeaways as creatives and storytellers through both music and film.

We saw "Unsung Hero" several days ago. I cried for about the last 20 minutes of the film. The pivotal fact of not only children believing in their parents, but also parents believing in their children touched me so deeply. It is something that is almost impossible for me to comprehend with the background l come from. There were lots of thoughts about the "what ifs" of my life, not even consciously, but an overwhelming feeling of awe. But in my mind the greatest approval came from my husband. "I could go see that again," he announced, as we were walking out of the theatre. He never says that. So I knew "Unsung Hero" was truly as good as l thought it was. Many blessings on you and may many people see this movie!
