Google Cloud: "Am I invisible to you?".

I love GCP, I'm getting more offers on LinkedIn than my friends without GCP experience. Probably because there aren't many GCP experienced people. Nice niche if you're a junior.

Their customer service is invisible. However, GCP is the easiest to use and understand out of the big 3. Also, it was the best for ML and AI until their star staff left for Open AI (later bought by Microsoft).

I'm stuck in a crossroad. I work/worked at Chase, I say worked because we were laid off at the end of March but still employed. I love cybersecurity, but my heart it with the cloud and building things. I'm stuck with what service I wanna focus on. I know certs doesn't mean a lot but I'm 3x AWS certified and 1x Azure. Since I'm going to be unemployed soon I wanna focus on the cloud, but I'm seeing more AWS jobs than I am Azure. I don't want to focus on something and can't get employment. Do you think I should still focus on Azure?

MS Azure has far better sales reps due to mixing 0365 into their pitch and not rushing companies to put all their information on the cloud. Very hybrid setup friendly. Cosmo DB and mixing with Power BI add extra appeal.
AWS has a great infrastructure as a service (IAAS), but the pricing is insanely high. Not friendly for small nor mid-size businesses.

Yeah Azure is definitely making moves for sure. I work for a company with a large SaaS offering. We had some AWS hosted apps that came from acquisitions. And some in-house apps already hosted on Azure. Azure gave us a $6 million dollar discount per year for switching from AWS. Quite aggressive in sales.

Thank you so much for your content!
    My thoughts:
Amazon can still grow, why? Because they are not constrained to just datacenter stuff, they are a data center and a retail powerhouse. It's not so much how many new customers they can add as it is how many new products can they introduce to the market.
We all love all these amazing products Microsoft has such as XBox, Azure, MS365, etc. But here is the catch these are not new products. These are products that were introduced by Steve Ballmer. Steve appointed Satya to run Azure. Ever since Satya took the reigns, he shut down many of the products we were about to enjoy... The Nokia phone division acquisition, Windows Phone, Surface Duo (looks to be on the chopping block). Azure is Satya's baby. The board couldn't kill off XBox it was making too much money. This is a very much streamlined Microsoft we are experiencing. I say all of this to get to this...
Recently Panos announced his departure after being appointed to a new position....Why? Too much forward commercial thinking? Was the Surface brand becoming too "popular". Panos is now where? Amazon. What did Amazon fail at doing? Created a smart phone. They tried remember. What does Amazon have that Microsoft doesn't have? A crap load of money that constantly keeps coming in from everywhere. Why cuz people can't stop ordering stuff, lol. I will not be surprised if Amazon releases a new phone, new laptop, streamlines the Kindle line.
Amazon has yet to disrupt the PC market. Dell, HP, Asus, Apple, etc. Have not had a real competitor in many years.
I love MS, I am a MicroSoftie. But this collaborative friendly Microsoft has it's pros n cons. Pro: Passive, work with everybody make everyone happy don't ruffle no feathers. Cons: No more competitive spirit.
Hololens, lightyears ahead of everybody. Facebook (not Meta), HTC comes out with there Headset, nobody bats an eye per se. They see the potential for AR. MS markets and develops this headset product for particular industries. It was priced for industries not a commercial product. Everybody else wants one, can't afford it and there are no commercial applications built around it. Mind you this was really a product that almost a child of the XBox tech. Remember the XBox camera that you used to put under your tv? Now that tech is in our Surface laptops, etc. Hololens should've been migrated to an eventual commercial product on the XBox. It would've been a game console killer at that point, lol.
So do I agree with the article, eh. It certainly feels like the mindset of a money laundering financier, lol. Can't see beyond the bank statement. Will Azure grow bigger than AWS, eventually. That's the only thing Satya is truly passionate about. And yet no companies particular feel competitively threatened. If Steve was still driving, they'd see his backflips and Aerosmith performing at the Windows 13 launch right now.

😂😂😂 is actually possible, but I don't see this coming. AWS is far above Azure. Check their services and others 😂
