Nick Girard.. former tenor for The House Jacks. He's also married to Clare Wheeler (the mezzo/shortest lady in the video). He was filling in before or just as Jon Smith was selected as the new tenor.
Does anyone know...does the new group use auto-tune? When I first got addicted to the Swingles it was the 1960's and I was just a kid who loved music. There was no auto-tune then.
In the studio recordings they most likely use small amounts of pitch correction. Almost all professional a cappella groups do... Live they do not use pitch correction. You can clearly hear their pitch is not corrected in this recording, as it is certainly not completely perfect. They are so damn close to perfect anyway that they do not need it - I've heard them off mic. Their tuning is really that good.
I'm a huge fan. I especially appreciate it live and acoustic. Clever how a little percussion is added entirely by 'beat-boxing' - except the clapping at the beginning of course, but perhaps there is someone clever enough to make clapping sounds using their voice cos there's more clapping later, but no ones is clapping. Or maybe its not an entirely live recording. Now I'm a bit disappointed.
I’ve loved you guys for years and I’ll love you for more! Don’t ever stop! ❤️

Can anyone tell me who the tenor lead is on this with Sara Brimer please?

No, they dont, I've heard them off mic
What annoys me is the octaver used for the bass part...

Loop box. Call it semi-cheating ;)
Not really cheating, like he said its called looping meaning they have everything repeating. They can turn it on and off whenever they want
Bass with octaver effect....come on!
