We have the new 2015 Ram Promaster City fresh off the truck today. Eventually it will come time to replace the headlight bulbs so here is a video that will aid in the replacement of any of the front bulbs in headlamp assembly. The bulbs themselves are accessed from under the hood. The removal for both the passenger side and drivers side are the same. To make things easy you can remove the upper air filter cover and reposition the washer bottle filler tube if you fill needed. To gain access to the bulbs, you will need to remove the rubber cap for the bulb you are wanting to check or replace. There are a total of 3 rubber access covers on each side. On this vehicle, the low beams come on in both positions....lowl and highbeam. So they perform double duty. The bulbs rotate and lock inplace without any kind of locking ring or fasteners which means ease of removal. Now they are recessed in the opening a bit so if you have fat fingers....you may find it a bit tight. The furthest inboard bulb (closest to the radiator) is the high beam bulb and the middle bulb is the low beam. I highly recommend rotating the bulb and pulling it back enought to then unplug the connector. This way you can reach the connector instead of fighting with it while its still in the recess of the opening. When you go to replace the bulb.....try not to touch the bulb with your hands. The oils in your fingers/hands can goes the buld to blow too soon. Otherwise the install is just the opposite of the removal. The two smaller running light/turnsignal bulbs are removed in the same manner and both are in the last access hole closest to the tire.

Good enough info for this non-mechanic to change to low beam. Thank you, friend, for posting this video.

Thanks for this. Could you post a related video to adjust the angles of the headlamp beam?

How do you get whole assembly out? I can't figure how how get bottom bolt out.

The removal of the lower bolt requires removal of the front bumper cover. There are a few steps needed to do this. I dont have a video on this at the moment and its more then I can explain in just words.

have you ever replaced an axle on a promaster city? what socket did you use i had to grind a chrome 36mm socket thinner because every one i could find was to thick to fit.

I can say that I havent so far. Theres a chance I might soon if the valve body I just installed in one doesnt fix the issue and then the trans has to get removed. I will have to keep it in mind if I ever have to remove one. Thanks for the question and for what to be prepared for. Make sure to subscribe and check out my other videos.

I had the same problem too thick Ram imo purposely to take your money having to use their customized thinner socket.
Which is expensive if u can find it.
I had a local mechanic in Ft Worth Tx who had the right socket. I spent weeks trying to solve this issue bypassing ram.
I did find a socket online but was hesitant to buy not sure if it would waste my time and money not being thin enough and then I luckily found a local mechanic was able to do the job and he was pretty affordable. Was a nightmare going through

I was happy about this video until I saw you actually skipped the part I wanted to see... the low beam bulb replacement ... the high beam is easy the low beam I'm having trouble with and you skipped and didnt show that on this video, 👎🏻

what a waste of time. show people how to change the main low beam bulbs, they need replacing almost all of the time!

So the low beam is the same as the high beam when getting removed. Logic says that if I show you how to remove the high beam and I say that the low beam is the same procedure....you have all the info you need so not sure what the waste of time is. It’s clearly stated in the video. It’s 3 inches away from the high beam and identical on removal.
