When the wiper motor is turned off, what is the orientation of the crank where the linkage is connected to the crank shaft? Looking from the front of the engine, does the crank shaft point downwards towards the driver side or does it point upwards towards the passenger side. Mine points upwards towards the passenger side at park. Turning on the wipers, the wiper blades force downwards against the wiper stops. Picked up the wiper motor from a scrap yard so maybe the previous owner installed the crank arm in the wrong position and it needs to be rotated 180 degrees. Otherwise the motor works in high, low and intermittent speeds. Just seems to be parking in the wrong position. Thanks.
