When a government entity implements a clearly unconstitutional law why must the citizens spend any money to have it overturned. The supreme court should step in and overturn it. It should never have gone into effect. Additionally those government employees who are responsible for implementing such laws should be fired and imprisoned for their actions. What they did is illegal.

I’m in my fifties minus my time deployed I’ve lived and worked in Chicago the corruption is so deep it’s impossible to think anything in this state is legitimate especially judges and any law enforcement.
@truesf345, 1st and foremost, thank you for your service to this great nation. People like you continue to allow for conversations like this and I am 100% grateful. 2nd, please consider this only as an alternate view and not a personal attack. I am in my 50’s as well and just retired from 28 years in Illinois law enforcement, the last 25+ as a Sheriff’s Deputy and all 28 as a patrolman. I ask you in sincerity…Do you know, off hand, how many of the 102 Sheriff’s in Illinois did not enforce the PICA requirements until it was upheld by the Illinois Supreme Court? 94. 94 of them because they saw it as unconstitutional. Only once it was upheld and became law did they have no choice but to enforce it. Regardless of how they felt constitutionally. I see that as more of a Sheriff being legitimate, patriotic and loyal to their oath to the constitution and to their constituents than I do as being as you suggest. As for Illinois legislators and judges are concerned… subjective based on individual beliefs I suppose. I would appreciate that you not paint LE with such a broad stroke brush. Are there some in every profession, yes. But I bet you could list off some in your profession as easily as I could in mine. Thank you, respectfully, for your reconsideration of this stance.
Hey. GAT Guns is my closes big gun shop! Great building (they've got a range and conference/training room). While you're there, you can see the entire wall of stock that they cannot sell because of the current PICA law. I'm tempted to head out there just to meet you and thank you for what you're doing. I grew up in Bellevue, so I feel a (somewhat unreasonable) kinship.
I find it funny how police allow unconstitutional laws through. So many people stand to the side when unconstitutional laws are passed, enforced, and followed. The law makers are appointed by us and we allow these type of legislation that hold us back, it’s so unamerican. I grew up in Iowa but worked and lived in Illinois as a paramedic for over 10 years. When I would travel home and wanted to either buy a gun to just look at one in a store I had to give my FOID card to the shop and if I did not have it I was denied to ever hold it. They ask for an ID and if you have one from Illinois they would ask for my FOID. I needed a FOID to even buy ammo, even from a state that does not have these type of laws. So it goes back to this……why do we allow laws that clearly strip us of our rights? Look at the laws that will most likely be overturned soon, like non violent felons losing rights that have nothing to do with anything. These rights for self protection are clear and even courts have determined the police have no obligation to save or protect us and we haven seen where they will stack up armed to the teeth with shields and body armor just to refuse entry while kids die crying for help. They still take away your rights. They went door to door disarming people that wanted to stay back during Katrina. 911 is not a guarantee and if the weather is bad you’ll have to wait and if the providers aren’t safe guess what, they aren’t coming. We had a storm once that dumped 15 inches of snow in under 24 hours and we were not guaranteed to arrive. If you called for 911 you’ll be added to a list and someone depending on need would arrive.
I am pretty sure it's a lot of people in the state of Illinois that got misdemeanors and got their foid card revoked that don't even know they're supposed to still have their Foid card still valid an able to purchase Ammunition and Firearms The game's of the government
Absolutely and there’s plenty of people who for whatever reason, misdemeanors or seeking help for depression etc are on a list somewhere and will be auto denied once they apply. No due process in regards to losing their right to own a firearm. It’s all done behind the scenes in an administrative action. I know someone who had some issues 10 years prior with mental health. She took her time and worked on herself over the years, went to apply for a foid about a year ago and was auto denied because she sought help when she was 17. Now she lives in the hood with her first child and has no means to defend herself. Never been charged with any crime and never had a day in court. Never even received noticed that she was on a list for auto denial either, yet they claim they contacted her. Which I highly doubt.
I had to patronize Bevis @ Law Weapons Naperville today !!! Needed a practical EDC, and found it !!! Great price !!! I plan on attending your appearance, meet and greet !!! Hope to see you there, also !!!
You made an excellent point that’s why we need the United States Supreme Court to get involved in immediately because they’re not going to give up there. Hocus Pocus the second amendment while we are being denied and that’s not right.🎉
They did the same thing when they were sued during the pandemic for taking far longer than the 30 day statutory limit to issue a FOID card. All the plaintiffs who had been waiting months, magically started receiving their FOIDs before the case got close to judgment.
And this is why it sucks to be stuck in this state. Cook County, the IL side of the St Louis metro area, and Springfield are blue, the rest of the state believes in freedom.
OK. The IL Supreme Court is right in respect of what I call a "lawyerism": that, as THEY state it, a similar future event happening to THESE plaintiffs is an exercise in speculation. HOWEVER, the case goes to the core of, not just harms or prospective harms to these plaintiffs (and the cost of litigating all this crap and inconveniences and changes in plans due to the FOID card revocations were neither trivial nor moot, now or in any future event), but to the legislation itself and the enforcement action both being unconstitutional. The lower court's permanent injunction was proper and necessary, and if it somehow did not apply to all citizens, it should. In sum, the IL Supreme Court failed at least twice here, first in not upholding an injunction for which there was, in context, an obvious necessity, and second, and more broadly, in not recognizing that the context revealed that the whole bloody FOID card scheme is a massive infringement. How these folk achieve public office is beyond me. Surely some voters are deceived, but so many for so long? We The People are explicitly the earthly Sovereign, under God, as those who established the Constitution. We do have the power to throw the rascals out. We perhaps need to establish a mechanism whereby, when clearly constitutional questions are brought before a court, the full expenses of deciding such questions (including lawyers for both/all sides) shall be borne by the public. It is, after all, to the public benefit that constitutional questions be decided as promptly, clearly, and broadly as possible. "As applied" claims can be just as important as others, and courts should favor decisions correcting or nullifying bad law; a possible outcome in some decisions could perhaps include a report of the case to the legislative body responsible, signifying the apparent defect - a bug report, if you will. I have read some laws so arcane, convoluted, and just plain wrong that, had the drafts been submitted as law school assignments, someone would justly have flunked. And I'm just a common citizen.
Since this is an infringement of a Constitutional Right the prospective infringement confirs standing. There was a First Amendment case that established that. The Supreme Court should take this up.

I am working to finish my own pro se drafting now (Complaint & exhibits, motions to Proceed Under Pseudonym and for Protective Order, motions for Judgmnet on the Pleadings or for Summary Judgment) and, once I have done most of the drafting, I will be looking for an attorney to do the filing while I try to remain only a "Doe" or "Roe" plaintiff since bringing the lawsuit against State of NJ can have serious professional retaliation repercussions for me outside of NJ.
So if you kidnap someon but then later let them go you cant be charged with kidnapping? I mean same idea right? THE RIGHT WAS REVOKED just becuse they gave it back doesn't mean the crime wasnt committed to begin with...
Good take.
Exactly this. But we all know it's (D)ifferent when THEY do it.
Illinois is the worst. I had my FOID, CCL and firearms confiscated by chicago police department. There was no arrest and no charges, I went to court and the judge ruled all licenses and legally owned firearms to be returned to me. I work with firearms and part of active shooter prevention. It took weeks to get my FOID and CCL back, all my firearms were returned to me weeks after that. Chicago police department still have my AR10 which i legally purchased and legally owned, i even have a firearms control card so I am able to use the rifle for work but Chicago police department are playing games. Wish me luck as I go back to court in 2 weeks.
Wish you best of luck!!!!

Will the content of this vodeo be discussed in Illinois during the store visits?
When a government entity implements a clearly unconstitutional law why must the citizens spend any money to have it overturned. The supreme court should step in and overturn it. It should never have gone into effect.
Additionally those government employees who are responsible for implementing such laws should be fired and imprisoned for their actions. What they did is illegal.
Everything in Cook County. What about us folks downstate?
Crook County
Cook County controls the entire State of Illinois.
No one is aware that there is anything outside of crook. In the military when asked where I was from the response to Illannoy was always, "oh, chicago". I should've just started saying northern Kentucky, eastern Missouri or western Indiana
Your videos are great, and you keeping getting better. Keep up the good work, in particular the videos like this with concise and yet comprehensive, easy to understand, breakdowns of interesting topics.
I had a FOID card once and the whole idea made me want to puke even though I grew up in the democrat run hell hole of Chicago.Moved to Wisconsin in 1998 and have felt like a real American ever since.Still waiting on the constitutional carry though.
What are you going to do to fix that smelly blue Madison?
You also became a free man.
This is the best explanation of the current state of affairs that we are facing within our current environment, Kirk. This is your best video, IMHO.
So what happened to the case in Chicago where a federal judge said an illegal can have a firearm without a foid card? That just disappear like a fart in the wind?
You're playing someone else's game, by their rules, which they can change on a whim at any time, and wondering why you can't win?
Truly a mystery.

I’m in my fifties minus my time deployed I’ve lived and worked in Chicago the corruption is so deep it’s impossible to think anything in this state is legitimate especially judges and any law enforcement.
@truesf345,
1st and foremost, thank you for your service to this great nation.
That's one reason I left Illinois
And I bet there were many! 😊
As an Illinois resident, everyone South of Chicago wants to split the State into two. We will survive
We need to fight the corruption.
Just wow, unbelievable.
Why do the people of Illinois keep voting these people in? insanity.
They are the "bread and circuses" voter crowd! 😂
Why do the people of Illinois(and a lot of other places)keep obeying the"laws"and"rules"these"people" keep imposing on them?

Hey. GAT Guns is my closes big gun shop! Great building (they've got a range and conference/training room). While you're there, you can see the entire wall of stock that they cannot sell because of the current PICA law. I'm tempted to head out there just to meet you and thank you for what you're doing. I grew up in Bellevue, so I feel a (somewhat unreasonable) kinship.
who is paying these justices. sounds fishy to me
JB Prizker.. he gave them a million a piece to help them get elected!

The Secretary of State (Willard Ice Building) has the Ukrainian flag flying in front…

Leaving Illinois was the best decision of my life and this stuff increases that feeling every single day. That state is an absolute lost cause.
A seen an old time movie were mean ass judge sasshaed out of the office and found his new buick lookin like a swisschese
Add that to my never-ending list of why I LEFT Illinois years ago. They keep adding to it.
I am pretty sure it's a lot of people in the state of Illinois that got misdemeanors and got their foid card revoked that don't even know they're supposed to still have their Foid card still valid an able to purchase Ammunition and Firearms
The game's of the government
Will they public record show they were arrested and charged with a felony??? THERE YOUR STANDING
If you play by their unconstitutional rules you'll lose every time.

You made an excellent point that’s why we need the United States Supreme Court to get involved in immediately because they’re not going to give up there. Hocus Pocus the second amendment while we are being denied and that’s not right.🎉
They can't help even if they wanted too. The Dem monarchs of Illinois will just ignore them as usual.
If only, the Founders set an example of how to deal with corrupted courts and politicians... If only.
Dead people have been voting for over century.
Dead people vote in Illinois
Since this is an infringement of a Constitutional Right the prospective infringement confirs standing. There was a First Amendment case that established that. The Supreme Court should take this up.
Never say never.
Never.
You win by getting the hell out of Illinois!
In the end, people get the government they deserve.
