I Am (Part 6) - The Way, the Truth and the Life
“I am the way, the truth, and the life.” Jesus claims to be the true revelation from the Father. No one comes to the Father except through Jesus, and He grants true life.

I am the way, the truth, and the life is one thing, not three. It is known in Greek writing as a Hendiatris. The focus is on "way." The other two nouns modify the first noun "way." This Christ is saying "I am the true, living way," with a strong emphasis on true and living.
The resurrection happens only to true believers

Really disappointed that your sermon included so much mention of filthy language and filthy jokes. Completely unnecessary information to bring in. What’s up with that??
I felt the same way. It sounds as though this is an area that needs to be looked at by the elders because as much as we continue to sin this side of eternity, if we’re not being sanctified and becoming more and more like Jesus, then the vinedresser will prune the branches - if that’s not happening, we need to examine if we’re even in the faith, right?

Could be I will be your resurrection and the life the truth and the way as was done unto me basically the same god rejected outside the church and the church are murders like my church
When Jesus said: I am the way, the truth, and the life; Jesus was stating the truth. God, or the force of Love that animates all life; is the way, the truth, and the life.
Jesus was not speaking personally about himself. What Jesus meant is that Love is the way to live, Love is the truth, and Love is the way to eternal life; not in the sense of heaven, but as a way to know yourself as the eternal being that you are.
When you know yourself as Love, you know yourself as God. This God force, the I am that is within Jesus, is the same God force that is within everyone.
The spirit that is within Jesus is also within everyone. God is the same in everyone, and God's name is Love.
Hey Edgar! I would love to respond to your post. Jesus, who was God claimed that He is the way the truth and the life. He himself and only himself. Our sinful flesh makes it almost impossible to love as God would love us, that’s why we need Jesus. He is the completion of the law and the giver of grace. It’s not based on works or the amount of love you give to others, rather based on what has been done through Jesus.
We love because He first loved us.

The Love that is within Jesus is also within everyone. Love is our true nature as much as it is Jesus'.
That means that it is possible for us to Love as Jesus did. That was and is Jesus' message, not that we are "sinners" and that the only possibility for happiness is in heaven.
Jesus came to earth to show us that it is possible to Love and to encourage us to do so. Jesus came to earth, not to bring Love and then leave, but to ignite the Love within us; to show us that we could be a Christ.
It is our destiny to live as Love, and Jesus came to show us how to do that. That was and is the purpose of Jesus' teachings.

We are not of this world. Our home is with our father who created us for His glory.
I encourage to love while here on earth, but it is our purpose to one day be made whole in our fathers presence.

When Jesus said that, He meant: He came to break down the barriers between people, to show people Love as best He could; but very few people were ready for Love, very few understood.
