Everything is rotten in our state, bad buildings, bad roads, no sidewalks, people selling everywhere, no one follows the laws. Honestly, it would be nice if the people and governmnet start doing the right things to make our state and the country at large look like we all have brains in our heads and we can think.
Our mothers who are the original owners of the market should not be skimmed out when the market is modernized because of money to secure the new shops. Lagos government should provide an interest free loans for the owners and also subsidize the shops for them.
They won't hear o. Especially those yibo racketeers/marketers-AKA developers..lol. They'll soon turn it to personal attack on them😂 even though Yoruba traders are there too.
Jankara down...Makoko and Ajegunle are next!!! 63 years of independence, 24 years of uninterrupted Democracy.....and something has to give! Somethings just have to change! I am sorry, Lagos governments have been too slow, for far too long! The London (Ilu Oyinbo) of 1960, when they gave us independence, is NOT the London of today... The advancement in every facet of life in London has tremendously changed for the better in the last 63 years! Sadly, that's not the case for Lagos. Even if Lagos can't close the gap in catching up with London , we have no business widening it! At the very least, Lagos by now ,should have met the standard of London in 1960. No more slums, no more filth in Lagos and all over Nigeria! Every single Nigerian should query and task their respective state governors to deliver the dividends of democracy! The governor of Lagos can't do it alone, Sanwo Olu should task his president to use his fiat to empower local governments across Nigeria! We need proper proactive and independent local governments to partner with the state governors to provide grassroots development! 👊🏾🇳🇬👊🏾🇳🇬!
It won't remove the fact that our LOCAL GOVT are very useless. Issues of drainage management and its regular desilting should a LG task. LGs should be harmed with the necessary equipments to execute it REGULARLY and PERIODICALLY. Lagos drainage where they exist are always blocked with refuse. Advancement and better efficiency from our PSPs is also needed.
Nigeria wahala don make this man lean. Na wa o. It's not easy to be a leader. I pray the Lord will help you achieve all your plans in Jesus name. If oshodi can take a new turn, I believe anything is possible in Lagos.
When the new markets is build, the government should not allocates it to any non-indigine. Strictly, the Lagosians should be at the top of those who will have most of the stalls allocated to. That should be the way forward to start to sanitize Lagos markets.
Hope they remember all the people that are going to lose their livelihood due to the flood and the said demolition. Hope the build a modern market for them.
If they are serious they should come to Rufus laniyan estate to come and see how building were constructed on the canal that has been in existence for more than three decades
We suffer over things that can be easily handled. In this case, there should be an online city map that actively highlight areas that are banned. Accompanied with various government public service announcements telling everyone (including buyers) to reference the online map before conducting any transaction. That simple! But! No! We like principled suffering! Smh!
Is this the most important thing to be doing right now? With all the hardship the people are suffering right now? Just because they do not empathise with the people. Meanwhile it was people that sold the land to them and it was the govt that gave approval for putting up some of these "illegal" structures!
Clueless people. U don't know what to do. U will not allow GRV that know what to do to win. GRV will fixed this problem without demolishing a single house. Slop the road and the guitar, you will not find a any water in that road.
So u want demolish the one the non indigenes are first because they are not humans while u give adequate notice to the ones having indigenes. Later they will be shouting Nigeria is divided but they are the ones doing the division.
@toochukwuowoh606 Look at an igbo man who tribalism is their handy work coming here to talk about yoruba people. You are in no position whatsoever to talk about tribalism. You don't even like yourselves in the southeast. Coming here to talk rubbish as if everyone were not informed ahead of time as regards the demolitions.
Shame on you, what's wrong with you guys? Is it by force to live in Lagos. Must you complain on everything Lagos state government does, even the new blue rail line that people were praising sanwolu about, majority of you guys still couldn't see anything good in it. It's obvious that Yoruba and Igbo can never be united.
@@adeadeyemi3976it's still them making UA-cam videos every day on blueline but when they was building, these people kept abusing yorubas and lagos state government
SERVICE is open, and we're seeing that with Lagos State Government. Wish Sanwo Olu and his team well

Many State governments have rendered their Local governments useless by pocketing federal government money allocated to the Local governments.
I hope d government has provided an alternative shopping area for them to trade
If there was an efficient urban plan, these markets should not be located on waterways...
Good work, 🎉Governor Sanwo-Olu!
As a trained surveyor , the governor is fully aware of the matter. that is the reason why the right man to the right place makes sens !
The living conditions in these places are terrible
