I found the clove note in Bel Ami Vetiver very challenging when I smelled it, but I tried it again many times and now like the leather accord and so I think I will be buying that soon.
Haven't seen the vid in full yet and cant wait. But i have a sad random fact. Bogsrt signature, and i mean even the newer bottles are going for crazy prices. Like $100 for 50 mils ECT. I got my 100 mil bottle for around $12 on Amazon barly two years ago after you recommended it to me. So depressing because i love that fragrance and always thought it would be a cheapie
I heard about bottles now going for 100 to 200 bucks... crazy because like you I paid 10 to 20 dollars... so it's a very sad fact and indicative of what is going on in the industry... and I just heard Zino is Discontinued officially 🤦♂️😒
@@RamseytheRam dammm! I'm lucky I have 3 bottles of Zino. 2 Lancaster and one newer. They may still have older Zino at the place by my house. I'll have to check. Basically if anything smells slightly masculine it's being discontinued sadly
Another great list, Ram. For me Pachuli Kozha (Nishane) would be high on there, and I actually think Sunshine Woman is quite nice, though not something I'd wear. Also a bit random, but can you think of a reason why Stercus gives me vibes of Cuir Intense (Guerlain)? Can't put my finger on it.
I can’t wait for you to talk more about all things Orto Parisi and Nasomatto. Orto Parisi “Terroni” was my introduction to niche frags and my first niche frag that I ever bought and the rest is history.
Dam bro your content is so deep , so many I've never heard of . I'm just overwhelmed ..I noticed you haven't done a review ATH fragrances , ik you don't like sweets and projectors ..

If GPH1 has no oud i guess there is quite a substantial difference in smell? I have a sealed bottle but im selling that one :).
Dior Homme Parfum is my top pick for this year, I really love the DH line, and the Parfum for me is the best! Iris, Leather, keeps the ambrette, such a great scent! Cheers, Ramsey!
Reckless Parfum fixed the longevity issue and lasts very long, i got it for like under 300, 290, still not my favourite, i'd like to find a good price on Fetish. while on Gualtieri a bit like Bianchi he has this Javanol woody base accord that is almost present in the whole line, still good tho, better than her where the orris accord is overpowering and comes out almost immidiately
@@RamseytheRam It is and it’s also the first EDP ever from Hermissence line! I wouldn’t say it’s that bad , but it’s a typical rose Oud combo and I didn’t find anything special here ! The year before the great fall. Takes a couple years for a perfume to go from drawing board to release, so 2017 is really when the damage became apparent. Luckily, we were still cruisin' in 2014, blissfully unaware of the approaching iceberg. It was also the year my involvement in the comm was kicked into high gear. Totally forgot that Lalique was already on its second Bentley flanker by that time. 😵💫 Took a good long while before those fragrances got any notice online. 🚗

Also that one for 4300.00... the bottle better be able to AT LEAST cook my dinner too 😂. And on a serious note, absolutely saddened to hear about one of Masque's founders passing. So thank you for mentioning this. I will wear my Sleight of Fern tonight, an adorable frgrance imho... rest in peace Alessandro Brun 🙏. Lastly, throwing in my slew of 2014 releases here, sadly they're all high-end though; Black Gold - Ormonde Jayne, L for Men - Clive Christian (the first and now discontinued 'L'), Next to Me - Ramón Monegal (apparent fruity/sweet aspects without being so juvenile), and Vetiver Geranium - Creeed (I'm fortunate to have a 14' bottle - did a complete 180 on this, almost got rid of it at one point). Cheers, good buddy, hope you're enjoying the start to your weekend!

Man... I didn't know that Or du Serail was discontinued until I watched this video a few weeks back. Sure enough, not long after, their website had it listed as Currently Unavailable. (Still does.) Last year, the Naomi Goodsir discovery pack was my gateway into fragrances, and Or du Serail was my favorite of the six. So upon hearing the news I quickly rushed to see what stockists still had it and would ship overseas to Japan. And I made my *first* full bottle fragrance purchase. Alas, the order was immediately put 'on hold' because they didn't have it in stock. I figured that I'd missed my opportunity... but thankfully, after a week or so, I received the email that they got it back in stock and were shipping it to me. So that's the story of my first full bottle purchase. Btw, the newer bottle looks exactly the same, except it has a black cap/atomizer.
Congrats on grabbing one before the stock gets slim... once the fall / winter season rolls around that is definitely one I plan on wearing heavily this year 🍻
Enjoyed your list Ramsey! Dior Cuir Cannage is one of my favorite scent from 2014.. Also if you have a chance sample TomFord Patchouli Absolu which was released in 2014 and also have been discontinued. My fav patch ever :)

Ramsey, Great list my friend! Thanks for shout out on ladano Nero. Really old school masculine to my nose, solid👍! Musk Tonka sounds amazing. Have to get my nose on it & Cuir cannage older bottle from yrs back! As for Hermes, I own original Equipage,=(Challenging), Agar Ebene ,BELAMI(vintage bottle,)and a 15 ML of *Cuir D'Ange. Very nice soft leather . I also own a 15 ML of another from the Hermes essence Line called *BRIN DE REGLISSE---A BIT OF LICORICE. I think it was discontinued at some point in time. Let me know if you've gotten your nose on it. Very unique! Thanks again. You always educate me,which is enriching as a passionate collector. A2👍
To me the Bortnikoff Vetiver is more balsamic or pickle-ish than the Nishane. They are both good but sadly too much for me to handle, I appreciate them as art but don't find them wearable for hours.
Hey Ramsey. Or du Serail has not been discontinued. I just bought a bottle a week ago. I am a Big fan of this house. I own Or du Serail, Cuir Velours and Bois D’Ascese. Bois D’Ascese is my favorite
Epic video for an epic year of releases, Ramsey! I, too, am looking forward to reviews of Orto Parisi. I LOVED his work when I first got into frag's, but now I'm questioning the heavy use of synthetics. Your description of how he uses them is spot on. I haven't sniffed everything on your list, I have a few full bottles. DH Parfum (current 100ml version) is a recent acquisition, and I love it. Much prefer it to DH Intense, mainly because to my nose, I prefer more intense, heavy, robust perfumes. And, I also am growing to really appreciate refined perfumes, like the the Hermes Hermessence line.
Hey Ramsey. I am also a big fan of Alessandro Gualtieri. I saw that you liked Bergamask. Have you smelled Megamare and Seminalis also from Orto Parisi?
Hello Ramsey, silent viewer here. I think you are wrong about the discontinuation of Naomi Goodsir - Or du Serail. I can find it very easy new here in Germany at least. I feel like it's very similar to Herod in the base. Not sure how the "new" Herod smells. The Goodsir is not bad tho. :D
Finally I have added Pharrell Williams GIRL on my wishlist. I've seen it so many times on your channel and thought what an ugly bottle!!! But now I think it's kinda cool, cute even 😁 And the notes listing seems that something like I may like, so I'll just blind buy the damn thing. I love Gualtieri's work! Not everything of course, every perfumer has hits and misses, but Nasomatto and Orto Parisi were pretty much my entrance to the niche world, they'll always be special to me. By the way have you watched both of the movies about Gualtieri that he filmed about himself?
Highly recommend, especially the first one, I believe it's called "Smells like Arabian spirit" and only available on Vimeo. There he isn't the Gualtieri as we know him today - highly eccentric and artistic figure, which is fully reflected in the second movie. But in the first one he's more just like a normal guy, young and just starting his brand. The whole movie is about his travel for the search of inspiration. To each their own, but to me personally it's the best perfume related movie I've ever seen. I would even dare to say that it's better than that famous BBC documentary about perfumery. But that's just one girl's opinion... :) It's not even in English, so you have to watch is with subtitles, unless you know Italian
Musc Tonkin and MKK are two different perfumes…so different. I love them both…the dry down of MKK is so cozy…I thinks it’s beautiful. I wear it to bed a lot.
