Aye!! I will admit that I filmed and edited this entire video in one day in order to meet the 2 week deadline i have for myself LOL. Although, I'm super satisfied with how this came out!

Do you have any tips for people looking to start penpalling?
Yes!! I think it's always good to start with someone you know, like an internet friend or a childhood friend you want to get in touch with again. But if you want to meet someone new, that's ok too!! I recommend starting with penpals from the same country. Shipping fees are cheaper and it also takes less time for your letters to reach each other. It's a good way to test out whether you think this would be a good hobby for you or not^^. When choosing people to be penpals, don't be afraid to be a little selective! So much of the snail mail process is the connection you have with the other person, so it is important to chose someone you think you'd vibe with. And lastly, please don't be convinced that penpalling is all about stationery, it's not!! The most important (and the only thing you need, really,) is the letter. Stationery is definitely something you can collect over time if you'd like to, but there's no 'threshold' of the amount of stationery you need in order to start penpalling. When I first started, I just had lined paper and a pen!

I'm literally going crazy. I have so many questions, like, "Where did you learn to make things so aesthetic?", "How is your hand so steady?" and above all... "WHERE DID YOU GET THE MONEY TO BUY ALL THAT!? I'M SO BROKE!" But honestly, this is one of THE best things I've ever witnessed in my entire lifetime!
You can actually find some of this stuff at the dollar store (if you have one) and aliexpress has some pretty reasonable stationary :))

Stationery express has rlly cheap tapes and stickers the shipping's a little pricey tho but you should def check it out!! 😊

Honestly it’s really easy to find stuff to put in pen pal letters. Just look around your house and I guarantee you’ll find heaps. I cut off a bit of material from clothes, I found an old crossword puzzles book which has really old looking paper paper, you can print off pictures from the internet including patterns if you have access to a printer, even baking paper can look nice, napkins, old books, music books, flowers and leaves, etc.

I love the idea of extras so much; one stationary collector/enthusiast giving materials to another, it’s like sharing a part of their art style and it gives the chance of the giver to declutter some stuff they may not have used otherwise and the receiver has the opportunity to change up how they journal
