WOW!!! I wish I knew how old this sermon was. I've been listening to Alister for the past few years and am amazed at his wisdom, knowledge and love for God. But I had NO clue he was always this way! His mind is incredible and apparetnly always was. Thank-you God for choosing him, using him, and gifting him to your own glory.

Equally perplexing is the "beauty" of the Holy God we are to fear..awesomeness, sovereignty, almightiness, eternal and divine.
Light that draws me, mothlike, and withers my very existence; Light so profoundly beautiful and so infinitely consuming; that once having entered the throne room of King Jesus , I cannot leave without transforming Grace to go forth nor can I hope to return without beneficent Mercy.
He knows the heart ,my heart, and promises to keep me, all that concerns me, for His Name's sake.

What do you mean by Christian perspective? Why do pastors disagree among themselves about various subjects or interpretation of the scriptures? Why there's no unity of the truth of God? Reformation pastors and SDA pastors are at odds with each others. How can someone who listen to your sermons understand what is right or what is wrong? If I can understand, I am able to master the truth of God better than the pastors. Does it sound reasonable?
Read the bible on your own and you should come to the truth. Any religion that says you can add anything to your salvation is false. We are saved by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. Seek a daily relationship with God and He will reveal the truth.

I see your point. And depending where you are on this journey, called life , sometimes it feels like there are more , “ Foggy “ days than “ Clear “ days. But that is the reality of our journey. With that said , one thing I believe is important to understand when approaching the Bible , is to be clear on what you are interpreting verses what you are translating. When translating you are looking only for the best word or words that communicate what is being translated. In interpretation you are looking for the best meaning that makes sense of the translation. 🙏🏼🎶
Hi Mr Begg. I am a new subscriber and Christian. I just became a follower of Jesus Christ today. How can I express my beliefs about the book called Jesus calling? I believe that it's a demonic book, because it's not inline with the Bible and what Jesus Christ has said in the Bible to a sister in Christ who believes that the book is from Jesus Christ? I don't want to be decieved by false teachers and false doctrine. Thanks so much
🎶 Wow Lola. I’m not speaking for Alistair , but I’m sure he would be thrilled of your coming to Christ. Whatever books have your attention , I would really encourage you to focus on the Bible. Especially as a new believer. Stay close to Alistair Begg’s teaching. He is an excellent example of one trained in the Word. I’m not familiar with the book you mention. But the BEST Book , that’s what should tug at our hearts. 🙏🏼🎶
@@Thruevangelisteyes thanks so much. I recently got a book called the imitation of Christ by Tomas A Kempis. The book is showing me how to be like Jesus according to the Bible.

Absolutely! If you read the book of Esther, there's no mention of God. Secular books that have good values are wholesome for the mind.
Yes 👍 God made Man a creative bean. And most of those classical writers; just give testimony to how amazing Man’s creativity is. But don’t let them keep you from the WONDER of the Word. 🙏🏼🎶

Yes, probably because they did not learn to put faith in men or traditions but in Jesus and the Word found in the Bible. I also found Sinclair Ferguson during the plandemic and thank the Lord for their messages. I was born and raised in the Presbyterian Church and praise the Lord for those who have brought it back to the Bible. Both my parents taught Sunday School and I attended what is now Rhodes College; but the PC was one of the first to go woke under a different name. I loved my college but I'm glad my children learned common sense and marketable skills, not just situational ethics.

Im going to say something kinda in jest. I’d like to have a pocketeer and call him Alistair. I’d have him in a pocket to advise me. I realize I have the Holy Spirit which is much better but for one, like myself, who has trouble with what to say a pocketeer would be helpful.
